"One of my favourite places to stay! Beautiful countryside. Lovely comfortable, characterful rooms with horse racing theme! Friendly staff, and excellent freshly cooked breakfasts made with locally sourced ingredients. Plenty of parking. We stayed on a Tuesday when the main restaurant is closed, but enjoyed our evening meal at the White Goose Pizza Co. which is only minutes walk away."

"A lovely, well equipped cottage, ideal for 1-2 people, nicely tucked away in a village that has so much going on. Clean, comfortable and a lovely welcome basket from the owners. The small kitchen area has everything you need, the decor is lovely and the lighting is great. The woodburner is left ready to light, though I didn’t need it. There is lots of local information left by the owners, who are very friendly and welcoming."

"Found a room on the Hotels.com app but stopped by the hotel to check it out before booking. The front desk initially said no rooms were available, despite the app showing otherwise. After some persistence and a 10–15 minute discussion involving another staff member, I was shown a room I liked. Due to system issues, I was told to book through the app. I did so, paid, and received confirmation, which the clerk also saw—but they still couldn’t assign the room due to aforementioned system issue. "Great last minute night away with kids. Lovely hotel, friendly staff and brilliant leisure facilities! Mark couldn't be more helpful! If there was one down side, the restaurant menu could do with a revisit (very limited) and the beautifully cooked steak and fresh fish were very much let down by the frozen chips! BUT, the breakfast was amazing! Will definitely visit again!"
