We came up with our children and grandchildren for a week at Spring Break. The cabin was wonderful. Plenty of space for everyone and the kitchen was well stocked. They also had 2 baby gates so we could close off the stairs for the little ones. A life saver for us. Would definitely rent again from Gail

This cabin is a total blast! The kids had an amazing time in the pool and watching movies in the awesome theater room. The owners of the property were extremely nice and accommodating. The view from the main room is incredible.

We have been coming to Gatlinburg since the 60's and we have never stayed on this side of Gatlinburg, but decided to give it a try. We usually stay on the mountain near Ober or in the mountains off the East Parkway and 321. This cabin is close to just about everything and avoids the traffic. It was so much easier to get to Pigeon Forge, Wears Valley, Gatlinburg, and the park itself. Our hosts were very responsive and all instructions were clear. The cabin has an awesome theater room. It features a game room on the top floor with a pool table and arcade. The bottom floor has the indoor pool, hot tub, home theater, and another game room with air hockey, foosball, and a wet bar. The home has a washer and dryer. The decks all have comfortable quality rocking chairs. So many homes have cheap outdoor furniture which makes me crazy as I enjoy a coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at sunset and do not want to sit on bad furniture. The view is beautiful throughout the home. Every room had televisions which were easy to stream. The kitchen was well stocked with an actual decent pantry! The refrigerator was also large. The dining table is huge and enables your family to sit and enjoy each other while others cook or watch television. All furniture and beds were comfortable. All bathrooms were large with ample counter space. Parking was no problem and access to the cabin was very easy. I would recommend this house to any family coming to town! Much easier going between attractions!

The cabin was just perfect for our family vacation. The view was spectacular and we even saw a bear from the balcony our first night. We enjoyed the game rooms and the theater room every evening. But what stood out the most was the attentive communication with our host. Gail & Rob were amazing and we couldn’t have asked for more. Will definitely will be back.

This place was hands down so beautiful and cozy. We were a combination of two families totaling 4 adults and 5 kids. This cabin was perfect and the view was incredible and something to remember. We took a 14 1/2 hour drive from Texas to Tennessee and we were not disappointed. The Host (Robert/Gail) were very nice and communicated with us every step of the way. Their response times were also speedy when any questions arose. The cabin was immaculate and the kids loved all of the entertainment especially the theater room, swimming pool and the ping pong conversion table. I have no complaints, only compliments. If you book this property, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Robert/Gail for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home and helping us build lasting Christmas memories that our families will always remember. —Johnsons and Townes Family

Absolutely loved this home! The two game rooms, the swimming pool, the theatre…the VIEWS. The only minor complaint is the pillows may have been too used and need replacement…esp in the adult bedrooms.

My family and I have stayed at many cabins in the area and I must say Sherwood Splashin Retreat was by far our favorite. Location, cleanliness, amnesties and last but not least the communication with our host Gail was the best. We look forward to returning to our favorite cabin for years to come.

We had the most wonderful stay in the mountains with daily sightings of Bears, sometimes twice at this beautiful property. The property was clean, well-furnished and comfortable. We stayed with our 3 children along with a brother and SIL. We all had plenty of room to stretch out with ease of coming together to enjoy family time. The location was great; it was close to the Parkway but felt like a million miles away in this community. The views were beautiful; the pool, hot tub and theater was an added bonus. The kids never wanted to leave the cabin. The community pool was also a crowd favorite. We visited daily and it never felt crowded, but with just enough people to chat with if you wanted to. Our bedrooms were comfy and cozy and the kids adored their bunkroom. The bathrooms were clean and the shower was big and easier to use for maybe an older person. I loved the larger bed-sized bunk for my 3 year old. I didn't worry about him falling out. Gail was easy to communicate with about everything. So glad we stayed here. It was definitely one of the easiest most relaxing and fun trips that we have had. Also, we recommend the Ole Mill and Five Oaks to eat at; they were delicious Also,don't forget your moonshine sampling, so yummy and a perfect beverage to sip on the porch! We also had the kids complete their Junior Ranger badge at The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, a great little adventure if you have kids. We loved our Tennessee adventure!

Perfection!

We had a perfect getaway during our stay in this cabin! It was just what everyone needed to recharge. The views are breath taking. It was the perfect mixture of relaxation, fun and the best way to make memories for us all. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. It was spotless and so cozy. Our host Gail made sure we felt welcome and that she was available for any questions or concerns. On this trip we had my elderly parents who enjoyed their stay tremendously- they had the master suite that was on the first floor where they felt comfortable and safe. Our teenagers had the upstairs with so many bed options and were close to the pool table and gaming system that they used every single day. The swimming pool and hot tub was amazing for us all! The theatre room added excitment to our stay as eveyone was able to pick a movie to make the week complete. We look forward to staying here again as it was the perfect situation for all ages!
