The cabin was amazing- spacious, clean and well equipped. Our grandchildren had a great time in the game room. The location was convenient to the national park and Gatlinburg. We had a great family get together. The host's communication was proactive and responses were very quick.

Amazing!

I can't say enough about our time at this property. The home was exactly how it is portrayed in the pictures and more. This is the first time in over 10 years of vacation rentals where I have found the home SPOTLESS. We were able to settle right in and enjoy ourselves from the minute we arrived. Chris provided us with detailed information prior to our stay and remained in contact during our vacation. The home is well appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and easy to navigate. And the scenery was breathtaking! Our family of 11 had plenty of space and thoroughly enjoyed our vacation.

Great trip! House was perfect for a big family. Lots to do inside the house. Great location 5mins from Gatlinburg. Hiked everyday and visited downtown every night. Plus the local high school had a great track for running!

For a family of 14, this place was perfect in every way! The location is close enough to the downtown strip, but when you are at the house, you have your views and peace. There is so much to do at the house! There were plenty of bear sightings for us from our cabin whether in the driveway, or a grassy spot we could see from our balcony in the distance. It was so cool! The owners were quick to respond if we had questions. Thank you for allowing us to create beautiful memories in a beautiful place!

Beautiful home, perfect location

If you are looking for a beautiful oasis to recoup in after hiking, shopping, or rafting this is it! Close enough to the fun of downtown Gatlinburg the trails of the Great Smokies but tucked away on a mountain with views for days!We had 10 people - ranging in age from 6- 80 and EVERYONE loved it! We had one rainy day that was saved by all the amenities found in this house, from an awesome game room, to a relaxing theatre or covered porch where we could watch the bears go by- we all enjoyed our time there. It was super clean, the kitchen is fully stocked w anything you could possibly need, beds comfy and tons of extra pillows/blankets and owners responsive if you should need anything. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Amazing Cabin, crazy roads

We loved our time in this cabin. We had a family of 8 including 2 elderly and 2 teenagers, and EVERYONE loved our time here. There were plenty of quiet places and then plenty of fun spaces. We had a visit from the neighborly bear, who was kind enough to pose for pictures. We were able to drive into town with ease. It's SUPER convenient to the grocery store. And wow, so clean. I was very impressed with what a great job the cleaners did. This cabin more than exceeded our expectations. The only downside was the drive from town to the cabin. This is not for the faint of heart. Nothing to do with the cabin, just really steep drop offs due to super skinny roads.

Amazing Place, Amazing Owners

Our group had nothing to complain about. This place was special for our group! Bears daily and at night! Very close to downtown Gatlinburg and a short drive to the National Park! Owner was awesome to talk with. Will definitely look at going back to this place soon.

One of the best places I've stayed in.

This place is wonderful. It is very spacious and located just up 321 so very close to town. It has just about any cooking utensils and pots you would want. Game room downstairs has pacman, skeeball, theatre room, air hockey, pool table and a few others. The kids loved the theatre room. I would very highly recommend this place for a large family vacation.

Loved Roaring Fork Lodge Gatlinburg

We had a fairly large group of 16. The house was spacious enough for all. We enjoyed the games, indoor and outdoor dining, beautiful mountain views from the deck. I did communicate with the owner during our stay and he was helpful and very easy to contact.

Awesome cabin

We really enjoyed the cabin with our family. It was very spacious and clean and had activities for everyone. The location was great and we saw bears everyday. The check in process was very easy as well. The theater and game room was a hit with both the kids and the adults. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone.

Family Vacation

Roaring Fork Lodge was about 1 mile from downtown Gatlinburg so the location was great. There were 15 in our group and sleeping space worked well for our group. Bathrooms worked but only three full bathrooms and 3 half baths. In the lower level there were three bedrooms and only one full bathroom, so some sharing. The bottom level had a bunk room but no bathroom. The kitchen was well-stocked except for silverware. There were only 9 forks and 3 or 4 spoons and similar number of knives. We ended up buying plastic ware. The grill was advertised as a working grill but needed to be cleaned and seasoned. These concerns aside, the house was roomy and spacious. The game room and media room were great for the kids. The decks were wonderful for sitting and gathering. The biggest concern was also the biggest treat….bears. We saw many bear every day, up close and personal. One came up to the front door. Others came up on the decks, one tried to open the latch on the door, which fortunately was locked. One napped on the yard. Others walked by the fire pit. As fun as it was to see these bears, we had to be aware when we were outside or on the decks. It was obvious that past renters had fed them, which is dangerous for people and bears. The owner, Chris, was easy to reach and addressed any concerns we had. His communiques were thorough and very informative. I’d gladly rent from him again but might choose a house that had a better bedroom to bathroom ratio.

Perfect for all ages

Had a fantastic week at Roaring Fork. The house was perfect for our group of 15 family members ranging in ages from 4 to 70+. The basement with game room and movie theater was a huge hit for everyone. The place was very clean and house instructions were clear and helpful. Would definitely recommend this rental. We will be thinking of our mornings and evenings spent on the covered deck with amazing views for a long time.

Something for everyone! 22 Bear visits!

We were a family group of 16 people, aging from 67 down to 2 years old. ( 8 adults, 1-teen, and 7 kids between 2-9 years old. ) Roaring Fork Lodge far exceeded our expectations. 1. Communication directly with owners was great before, during, and after our stay. Chris was quick to respond and very easy to work with. We had a couple of minor things we needed to contact Chris about. Quick and easy resolutions. 2. Clean and adequately stocked. We brought extra things such as paper towels, hand soap, bath soap, etc. The instructions are very clear on what is supplied and what you need to bring. 3. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the amenities of the cabin. Lots of big spaces for gathering and small nooks to read or just enjoy the scenery. 4. We were visited 22 times by bears!!! This was the highlight of our trip. The last day was “everyone do your favorite thing” day. The majority just wanted to stay and enjoy the cabin. That says it all! The few that ventured out were jealous because that day was our best bear visit day! 5. We also enjoyed: Anakeesta, Chimney Tops Picnic area with gorgeous stream, Cataract Falls, Apple Barn, Pigeon Forge Snow, The Titanic Museum, Dollywood, and walking downtown. 6. This cabin gave the feel of being high on the mountain. However, it was close to town, store, National Park, and Pigeon Forge! We would definitely stay in this cabin again! We made lasting family memories here. Enjoy your stay!!

Beautiful cabin

This was a family vacation with our 4 adult children and their boyfriend/girlfriends, and it was a great vacation. The cabin was very clean and well maintained, and loved the location. Even saw black bear on and around the property each day of our trip (they didn’t bother us at all). Overall was a great place to stay and we will be using the cabin again for our next family trip to Gatlinburg.
