Our stay was just what we needed. Cleanliness was excellent. Location was super. Did not try spa tub or walk to downtown. We will definitely keep Laurel Inn on our list to stay in the future.

We had a great visit to Gatlinburg. The room was very clean and host was wonderful and timely with information. Since we visited during the winter, we were looking forward to the walking distance to downtown. I'm not sure I would consider this within walking distance with the cold in the wintertime though. It is a pretty good walk and a partial mountain climb to get to the room.

Cable didn't work. Owner's response was for me to check the cables or use the streaming apps on the tv which I couldn't anyway becuse that requires the tv remote which they did not provide. Fireplace was broken. Only one out of 2 burners worked. Pans were so poor i should have brought my own. Door lock broke while I was there. They also make a huge deal about how you have to be out by 10 because they are so busy and have such a strict schedule and the cleaner will be there at 10. They absolutely cannot accommodate a late checkout they say. Well I wondered if that was really true so I came back at 11 and peaked in the window and no one had been there.. big shock. So they easily could have accommodated a late checkout. It seems to me they expect the customer to follow all their rules but don't hold themselves accountable to providing what is promised in the listing. It's like I'm suppsed to follow our contract to the letter but they don't have to. personally I would not rent through this owner again.

They need to call Stanley steamer and give that place a thorough cleaning. It needs it Lose all the towel and napkin folding into desnd and fans and actually scrub top to bottom. Everything leaked tub, toilet even the iron. It could be much better with a few inexpensive upgrades and someone paying attention. And I got like 10 reminders about checking out on time and what was expected of me as the guest but the attention to the guest is completely lost on this rental. Reminded me of a college dorm room. If you expect the guest to remove the sheets might be good for you to actually wash the mattress cover it had a lot of stains and possibly recent bodily fluids. Disgusting discovery after I just slept in the bed for 5 days. Overall it was on the cheaper side but not as clean and cozy as the pictures provided.and then there was an envelope left that requested a tip, the tip is to hire a new cleaning crew.
Hot tub faucet leaks almost a stream. But it did not make any noise so I did not report it.
Fresh bodily fluid stains on the mattress pad they were numberous.
Shower rod do rusty the curtain sticks on it
Floorboards and the vents are full of dust and grime I have many other photos but this was the max limit.

Great place!

We really enjoyed our stay. Property was described accurately. We are a little older so we didn’t walk to the strip. We didn’t want to walk up the incline back. We parked at Anakeesta. I felt everything was great and the condo was very peaceful. Would stay again.

This was a very clean condo. We liked that it was a short walk to downtown stores and restaurants. We'd definitely recommend it to others.

Location was good, easy walk to town. Condo was "more worn" than pictures reveal. Overall clean but had a STRONG fragrance to it- didn't see an air freshener anywhere as I would have removed. Almost gave us a headache. Bathroom is TINY and definitely shows some wear. Could use more towels. Due to condo location in building it was always very dark in living area :( Couch was uncomfortable. Owner was communicative and sent messages appropriately- clear instructions. Was fine for a long weekend but will explore other options next time there.

I wouldnt consider this "walkable". The condo was up a steep incline so walking back was a rough trek. We even attempted the back walkway and was still not much better. Overall the room was clean. Some of the jets in the hot tub were broken and wouldnt stay in place. Shower water pressure wasnt that great. We couldnt figure out how to lock the door for the longest time. Eventually after hitting random buttons, it locked. Had plenty of amenities: microwave, fridge, stove and plenty of plates and cups etc. We didnt use anything but was nice to have just in case. Bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows. Communication was ok. There was flooding and storms so i had emailed beforehand to ensure everything was okay to visit, they kept refering to our room as a "cabin" so I was quite confused on that part.

Week away from Home

Overall, the condo was as advertised. It was well kept and very clean. We felt safe in the surroundings. There was also good communication with the host. The walk to the strip is further than the description depicts, be forewarned. It is longer getting there and uphill getting back. Definitely not for those that are older or with health problems. Other than that, this is an excellent place to stay. We had an awesome time.
