The cabin was clean for the most part, but there were a few things that definitely need attention. The shower had some mold in it and there were dead bugs on the floor when we arrived. The shower head situation needs to be addressed as soon as possible. If you do not use the rain head (which is also in rough shape), you will have the worst shower of your life. Unfortunately, I would rank it as the worst shower I have ever had at a rental. The hot tub also did not work correctly. The jets would not turn on at all. It did heat to 100 degrees, so we used it more like a bath tub.The beds were very firm and not very comfortable. There also were no basic cooking items like salt or pepper, and there was no spatula. We ended up using a grill spatula to make pancakes.On the positive side, the location was great. The drive up to the cabin is steep, so I would be hesitant to visit during the winter because it could be dangerous with ice. But it was very close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, which we loved. The cabin was clean overall and it worked fine for a weekend stay. I am not sure it would have everything needed for a longer trip, but it met the basics for a short visit!
