This is an amazing place to stay, offering a range of thoughtful amenities and fun décor that truly help guests connect with the Smoky Mountains. It is conveniently close to downtown, yet high enough to offer fabulous views. The hosts were also very proactive and responsive in their communication.

Great location. Close enough to Gatlingburg but far enough away to get away. Very cozy cabin with a nice view. Hot tub was clean and felt great after hiking all day. Host's were great with communicstion and very accesible. Was nice to have an EV charger to keep the car charged and ready for the drive home.

Located only a few minutes from the heart of Gatlinburg and many beautiful hiking trails. Property manager is excellent with providing adequate information about the rental. Beautiful small cabin with enough room to fit the four of us. The free tickets to many events are a nice touch as well. There were board games and video games available. We loved the hot tub, it was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. Decent views, but the trees are pretty tall and block it a bit. If you stay for more than 5 days or so be prepared to bring your own TP! There was only 1 roll in each bathroom and none to be found anywhere in the cabin. Biggest negative for us was the carpets felt really dirty, they could use a good cleaning. Overall it was a great place to stay, good location, great property managers, cute cabin in a nice area.

Pros: great view, closeness to gatlingburg, EV charger , cleanliness, communication.The property is beautiful, clean and well maintained and offers a great view from the patio. The Jaccuzzi was clean and functional as well.The owner - Jamie Thatcher promplty replied back to any questions that we had and was very accomodating.The EV charger was a blessing in a city with no supercharger. The nearest superhcarger is in pigeon forge 40 min away.Cons: The cabin driveway is long and steep.. and I mean really steep to the point where my spouse was afarid of driving up the driveway lol

If you want to see bears, this is one to stay at :)

House was cozy, clean and close. The drive up is definitely steep! Especially when you pull up and a mama bear and her cubs are chilling in the drive and taking their time walking up the drive haha. Had everything we needed. Enjoyed whitewater rafting , downtown with shopping and aquarium, forging our own knives, Anakeesta. Lots to do. Thanks!

Amazing!!!!

We had an amazing stay, the cabin is so cute! Beautifully decorated, has everything you need in every room. The decks are very nice. Loved everything about the cabin! I will not lie, the driveway is very steep! Saw bears every day we were there. They even tried to get into my car. We will definitely stay here again!

Fun family trip

Overall, the trip was great. Checkout at 10 is not ideal, and when I inquired if we could have 1 extra hour to pack up, the person I spoke to was pretty snippy when they declined the request. The downstairs door had lots of difficulty unlocking and locking so we had to use the door upstairs. That wasn’t bad except unloading the bags up the stairs with all the snow. Overall, everything was as expected and the space had a great view and was a cozy place to snuggle at the end of the day. There were not a lot of extra blankets though which wasn’t pleasant with the cold weather.

Our family really enjoyed the cabin. It was quiet and peaceful. Fairly easy to get in and out. Far enough away from the busy downtown area but close enough to get anywhere fairly quickly

Nice Place!

We overall enjoyed our stay at the Distiller's Den during our spring break trip! It was our first time in Gatlinburg, and this house up in the hills made it much more memorable than staying at the hotels/condos on the main road. We were lucky to see a bear literally minutes after we got there! We were able to safely view him from the balcony and get some great pictures! The view is wonderful. The balconies face west so the sunsets were gorgeous over the mountains.A few things to be aware of and things that could improve:-The surrounding roads and driveway are very steep, so be prepared for that, and make sure you put your parking brake on!-A "starter kit" of bathroom and kitchen soaps are available, but you'll need to buy more if staying awhile-Only one trash bag was available and two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom. It was enough for our stay but be aware if you're staying longer-Basic cooking and eating supplies in the kitchen were nice. No spices or ingredients are provided-Satellite tv is provided-The towels seemed older (not very soft) and could be refreshed-The sinks were high in the bathrooms and it would have been nice to have a step stool available for our smaller childWhile we were there, the microwave stopped working. I sent a maintenance request through the app, and they contacted me right away. A person came out while we were gone and gave a temporary microwave to use. We appreciated the quick response and help! :)

High over Gatlinburg

We were surprised we were up so high but had great views of the valley and mountains around.The Den was roomy enough for us and was pretty well equipped in the kitchen. The walk in showers needs some attention to mold build up on the floor & lower walls.A great upper deck and enjoyed a couple meals out there and game time!People will enjoy this!

Do Not Rent this Cabin

We were not pleased with this cabin. We were charged (without being contacted) a large amount for a damaged hot tub cover that was completely fine and secure when we checked out. The management would not hear our side of the story or even acknowledge that we left during a high wind advisory and tornado warnings. The beds slept awful. Only a few towels for a 4 day stay. It was super hot in the cabin when we arrived and took a while to cool down. The hot tub was cold when we arrived so we lost a whole day of using it since we had to wait for it to get hot. A bear’s den was literally 150 feet from the cabin. Very displeased with the management of this cabin and customer service.
