The host tried! Communication was good. The place was pretty gross. When we walked in there was a smell. Musty like. So we opened the windows thinking maybe it had just been enclosed for a while. As we started looking around, and especially in the bathroom, there is mold on the ceiling and the ceiling fan had at least a quarter inch of dust. I do have pictures and wish I could show them. Then we get to the bedrooms, the ceiling fan had an inch of dust on it, the pillows did not have coverings, and one of the bedspreads on the two king beds had a stain. I requested new pillows, pillow, coverings, and different blankets. They showed up with pillow coverings and new bedspreads. No pillows. The pillows were so gross that they looked like they just came out of the Goodwill bin outback. After sharing that we did not get the pillows, I again reached out and they told me that they would allow me to cancel my last two days and give me all my money back. We were just there from another state for four days. The last thing I wanted to do was look for another place to stay. As you know, it’s cheaper the longer you stay because you’re not paying for a cleaning person. I have many pictures, including the mold in the bathroom. This is actually the only VRBO I’ve ever stayed at that was terrible. I think it was a new listing because that’s what it said, so maybe they will take this and fix up the place. I do worry that the mold may be toxic. We had the windows open the entire time
