Arrived about 5:30, smoke alarm started beeping at 7-ish. Guy arrives to change out batteries at 9:30. At 12:15 am, smoke alarm started beeping again. Needless to say, we did not get any sleep. Maintenance arrived next morning about 10, changed batteries again. A little over an hour as we were trying to take a nap (from lack of sleep), the smoke alarm beeped again. Maintenance came out again and changed batteries…alarm beeped again within 30 min. Management company’s response, “batteries go bad sometimes, we’ll replace and give you an extra 2 hours at check out”. I told them that it clearly was more than just batteries. Needless to say, they simply unplugged them. No compensation for no sleep the first night. Description and pictures show 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. They forget to mention that both bedrooms are downstairs and share a bath. The other full bath is on the main floor. Also, there is a fridge/freezer, but NO ice maker. So make sure to stop and get a bag of ice. The cabin needs a lot of TLC. If you have a small family and will always be “on the go”, then it probably would be fine. Otherwise, fine something else.
