I am giving a 2 star review because we were falsely ACCUSED and CHARGED for missing pillows/cases. To clarify, the 'missing pillow' charge was relatively small compared to the warped blind charge that we agreed to pay. However, it is a matter of principle to be accused of stealing when we did not take anything from the property. We tried to work this out with the host, Zach, through multiple communications and he was totally unwilling to consider that we did not remove items from his property. Future guests please, do a comprensive inventory upon arrival and take photos of EVERYTHING on the property. You may not know what 'missing item charges' could be applied after your stay.
1) The upstairs bunkroom contained 4 pillows (2 decorative, 2 sleeping pillows) the bottom bunk sleeping pillow did not have a pillow case. No big deal, we brought our own pillows. I did not see a need to bother the host regarding a missing pillow case. At the end of our stay we were falsely accused and charged for missing pillows and that missing pillow case. We absolutely did not take any pillows or cases. We told this to the host, Zach, and he did not believe us! I wish I had a photo of the room and the missing pillow case to 'prove' it was their miss. Who steals pillows in a pandemic anyways? If you do stay with this host, take pictures of EVERYTHING!!!
2) There are no curtains and the blinds can warp from the heat of the sun. My baby takes an afternoon nap and to help block out the sunlight, I put two pillows up against the blinds, above his pack n play. I put them up at 2:00pm and took them down at 7:00pm. When I took them down the faux wood blinds were warped on the bottom where I had placed the pillows. I honestly thought the blinds were wood and not plastic. The sun was so bright that afternoon and with the blinds up against the window, being insulated by the pillows, the sun warped the plastic blinds. I immediately notified the VRBO host. The vrbo host also charged us for blinds. Which we were in agreement to pay because I unintentially warped them.
3) The downstairs bathroom shower is very slippery. So be careful.
Positives: the property was close to downtown, it was nice that all the light switches were labeled and the view was beautiful.
