If I could give less than 1 star I would. 1. AC upon arrival was not working. It was 82 in the house. Owner said previous renters set it too low. A tech came out and said it wasn’t properly maintained. 2. The house was filthy, dirty floors, countertops, bathrooms and more. Mouse feces, dead and live bugs, stains on the bedding and soiled mattress, garbage in wastebasket, hair in the shower and floor, just plain gross. 3. Damage and safety concerns too. Broken railings on balconies, which is crazy, because there was a high chair in there from the previous renter. Along with broken blinds, holes in walls from door handle, ect… 4. Other than getting the AC fixed, which she is slightly trying to pin on me, she is unwilling to work with me on making this right. My family and I work hard for our money and want to enjoy a nice vacation. This place ruined that. Other than seeing some bears and scenery, the trip was overwhelming stressful, definitely not relaxing and down right gross! If I could’ve gotten a refund and went somewhere else, we would’ve. But again, the owner is unwilling to make any concessions or make it right. I’ve contacted Vrbo to hopefully handle this.
Mattress, we found that when stripping the bed upon leaving
Light with half inch of dust inside it and dead bugs, above dining table. The house was full of this.
Below is about an 40-50’ drop
All the rags we used to clean upon arrival, 8pm. Cleaned until 2am.

The overall experience with this unit was just OK. The house was nice and had good views. The check in process was simple and direct. However it is hard to look past the cleanliness of the unit. The outside decks were absolutely covered in spider webs. Also there were tons of stink bugs throughout the unit especially in the upstairs window. There was either a roll of unused carpet or an extremely large rug on the stairs to the top floor which could have been dangerous if someone needed to walk down at night. Overall this place has extreme potential to be a nice little mountain cabin but it needs some serious work on the cleanliness to be more than Ok.

The first two days were spent in a cabin with no air conditioning. We spent three days without a tv for our daughter. The wifi and air conditioning were promised. Finally got air and wifi after three days. Was very inconvenient for our entire family. The owners offered me a third of what it cost for the entire week if we left at the first of the week. I wouldn't rent from these folks again.

The property was great and the perfect size for our 4 adults and 4 kids. Lots of bear sightings, great location, and clean. The road to the house is a typical mountain road, so we had some issues when it rained and our minivan struggled with the one hill, but otherwise, everything was great.

There was plenty of room for the 10 of us; hot tub was good and the pool privilege was good for the kids. Nice location. However, customer service was terribly lacking.When arrived it had just rained and upon entering, two grandkids slipped in the tile foyer because there was no rug by the entrance. We were told there must be one somewhere, maybe on the patio. (?) Did anyone do a precheck before we came?. We found it after we all slipped around moving in.The topper was the refrigerator. There were instructions On how to set it, load it, but it never- NEVER- worked for five days. Why would you have to wait for a fridge to cool down? When we reached out for help, we got no response. The responses we would finally get made it sound like we were the problem as renters. Poor customer service.

We had a lovely stay. The location was great and home just as listed. Our internet went in and out a few times but other than that everything was great. Oh and if you want to see bear you will. My puppy and I were surprised by them while having coffee though they never came toward us as we walked inside

The house had more than enough space, it is pet friendly however there is really nowhere to let them use the bathroom aside from a small patch of grass across the street. We did experience an excessive amount of bugs in the house during our stay, there were two Instances sitting on the couch where there were spiders crawling on the throw blankets and downstairs specifically had an excess of centipedes that seemed to have multiplied overnight along with other bugs/spiders. Cleanliness was not great, seemed like a very rushed job before our arrival and a lot of things were missed. I did let the host know and she said she would schedule a deep clean after our stay.

Beautiful home but difficult to get to

Wonderful home nicely decorated with beautiful views from decks on three levels. As the description warned, we did have a bear get into our car overnight and chewed up some gum but no further damage. I was surprised, though, at the irresponsibly steep roads leading up to the home. Our friends had a van that barely made it, so we had to shuttle them up and down the mountain. Also, we were sure to be home by sunset as the roads are narrow and unmarked with no shoulder. We saw two cars that had run off the road into the deep ditch that had to be towed out.

Great Family Cabin in the Gatlinburg area!

Our family of 9 stayed here over New Years stayed here over New Years! We had a wonderful time! There were a few things in need of small repairs and replacing but nothing major! We were able to bring our small dog too! The beds were comfy, great location that is close to ski slopes, and the hot tub was super nice! Would definitely recommend this to others!

Short Pre- Christmas Getaway

The home was very lovely, and we had a great stay. I went with my 81-year-old mother to show her the Smoky Mountains and the surrounding area. The house was great, but some minor repairs were needed; however, nothing prevented the house's functionality. A couple of lamps didn't work, likely due to blown bulbs. The location was ideal for getting into Gatlinburg. The neighborhood was quiet, the house had adequate parking, and it was a great place to make as a base camp and unwind in the hot tub after a day of sightseeing. I would recommend it and stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here as we hoped to see bears and we ended up seeing them each day! We forgot to lock our car doors one afternoon and a bear got in but it was all good! House had lots of room for 9 of us. The house was clean when we arrived however we noticed a stale smell in the family room, not sure if it was pet urine? But no one wanted to sit on the furniture. Deck is nice, enjoyed the hot tub and beats visiting in the “backyard”.
