My family has been coming to Gatlinburg for many years and we have stayed many different places. This was my favorite. Everything was just as it looked in the pictures, if not better. It is my favorite cabin I have stayed in. It is fully stocked with everything you need and Robert was always quick to answer any question I had. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

Wow, what an amazing stay. The house was absolutely gorgeous, the pictures definitely do not do the view justice. My three kids had a blast in the kids/play room and loved all the cute decor. The hot tub overlooking the mountains was so wonderful, and just having coffee on the deck in the morning was so lovely. Everything was so homey and comfortable and is very convenient to the national park and Gatlinburg. The owners obviously put so much effort into making the place a home, and we will absolutely stay here again!

We've stayed in Gatlinburg many times, and this is by far our favorite house! Every detail of the place is well thought out - you really feel cared for. The house itself is fantastic. The view is gorgeous from both the decks and inside the house. The kitchen is well set up for cooking. Internet is solid for working remotely. Location is great for getting into the city and the park. Spotlessly clean. Book with confidence!

Our family absolutely LOVED this home and the view was incredible! The owners did such a great job with the decor, and the home was so clean and welcoming. We saw a mother bear and her cubs two days in a row from the deck, which made our stay even more memorable. We will definitely stay here again, and have already recommended it to our family and friends. Thank you JR and Donna, for a wonderful stay!!

Great views & comfortable cabin

We loved staying at this cabin. The views are spectacular and the owners have thought of the smallest of details more than any other place I’ve been to. The cabin is beautiful, clean and decorated nicely. They left the Christmas decorations up for us when I asked and there were little extras like the snack basket, weather station, tons of games & activities, Xbox, too many extra thoughtful things to list. The only suggestions I have are the barn door to the primary bathroom didn’t leave much privacy & the blinds with slats whether you face them up or down I felt like someone could see through the gaps if they wanted to but that’s me being paranoid! Overall you can’t beat this cabin & we will be back for sure! Thanks

Good stay until we were evicted without warning! They are watching you!

We rented this home for a family vacation. My wife and our 3 young kids stayed at this location and my 2 sisters and their families were staying in houses nearby (walking distance if you like walking w/ bears). Each night a family would host dinner instead of going out to eat (we've been doing this for almost 15 years in various rental properties). The final night was our night and everyone brought leftovers so nothing went to waste. We had just finished dinner, and the kids were playing UNO when the police arrived. They informed me that we were in violation and the owner wanted us evicted immediately. The owner had been monitoring the house via a camera (which they state they will not do in their listing). I pleaded with the police that we had young children and it was a wholesome and respectful small gathering. They called the owner and I could hear her yell "get them the hell out!" over the phone. The owner is based in Florida and will be watching you. I had been in contact with the local host/manager during the week via text as I had questions on how a few things worked. So there was no reason this needed to be escalated to an eviction.

Incredible views with so much to do close by.

Our stay was amazing. The home was 10 out of 10 and our family could not have been happier. The views were incredible. The interior is very nice and has great cabin vibes. The location is close to restaurants, shops, attractions, and Great Smoky Mountain National Park, but was still quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Stay

This was the cleanest and most well-equipped rental home we've ever stayed in. So many thoughtful details went into this home. The kids loved the hot tub and the games. The view was amazing. We loved sitting out on the deck and saw a mama bear with two cubs. We would definitely recommend this cabin to our friends and family and would love to come back some day.

Absolutely Stunning Place!

This is a home I would buy!! The hosts were superb with a delicious welcome basket and all amenities included to the make the stay even more enjoyable!! The view is so amazing, we couldn't get enough of it! Wanted to stay longer!!! To top it off... We saw Mamma Bear and her Cubs walk right across the house!!! I would book this place over and over!!

This cabin was exactly what we needed! JR & Donna provided everything, and even the extras! Plenty of firewood, paper towels, T.P., Laundry Soap, Q-Tips, blow dryer, curling iron, straightener, etc.! The cabin was absolutely beautiful, the Christmas Tree and decorations both inside and out made our Christmas so enjoyable. The view each morning was breathtaking and seeing the Ober Gatlinburg Tram lit up was an extra treat! We would definitely recommend staying here and we will definitely be coming back! Denise & Dave

Lovely Cabin

Smoky Mountain Memories is the perfect cabin for a family or a few friends. It was clean, everything looks new and nicely appointed. We saw a mama bear and her cubs walking down our street 2 nights in a row. So neat! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Amazing views with every amenity

First the chalet is amazing inside and out. Decor is perfect, impeccable cleanliness, so many things on hand to make stay perfect. Many VRBOs have several amenities but this felt like home. Didn't think to bring a backpack but there was one on hand to use. Hairdryer, curling irons... heating pad 😍. The view from the decks had to be the best on the hill. I know there were neighbors but I couldn't see them as the trees (with leaves on) perfectly block the neighbors but not the view. Gas fireplaces so cozy on chilly nights. Outside fireplace was also amazing with views of mountains and fireplace in one setting.. Best VRBO experience. Ski Mountain Pizza delivers there and is also amazing!
