  • This professionally decorated Luxury Log Cabin sleeps up to 12. Prefect for all occasions Southern Comfort features 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. A large fully equipped kitchen with plenty of seating and gathering space. What a way to relax after a day in the park by watching a movie on your private 9 foot theater screen or by relaxing in your 101 degree hot tub. Play a game of pool or air hockey in the downstairs game room with jukebox or congregate on the middle level with family in the open kitchen dining and living room. There is a gas grill on the back deck to fire up some steaks! Free Wireless internet is standard with all our cabins!

    Free WIFI, a washer / dryer, iron and ironing board, and paved parking are included for your convenience. All linens and towels are provided as well as a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, soaps and detergents.

    Host requires the guest to sign a rental management agreement prior to allowing access to the unit. The agreement details our cancellation policy, terms and conditions. Must be 21 or older to reserve a cabin and person booking must be staying in the cabin.

    We provide a starter supply of paper products, detergents and soaps and coffee filters. We do not supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash and there are no pantry items, spices, salt & pepper or coffee included - guests should bring these items.

    This cabin is professionally managed by Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals in Gatlinburg, TN. We provide concierge service as well as dispatched maintenance and housekeeping should you need assistance during your stay. Elk Resort staff very responsive with ongoing texts with reminders and directions. The cabin was beautiful and in a nice location. Spacious and enjoyable for the family! Will definitely be back!

Great cabin for a family getaway!

The only recommendations are that the kitchen needs more supplies for cooking/eating and the water temp and pressure in the top floor bathroom needs to be improved. We struggled with getting the shower water warm enough and the low water pressure made it a little tougher to wash our hair.

The cabin was clean and staff were responsive to our needs with good communication before our stay and during. The location is central to all you might want to do from the Gatlinburg strip to white water rafting and ziplining as well as the great Smokey Mountains.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, very private and peaceful, in a densely wooded area, yet close to the busy center of Gatlinburg. The hosts are very accommodating. Easy check in and out, clear instructions. The house itself is a bit outdated, but quite cozy and very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and so is the entertainment room. There is no driveway but a parking spot for 4 small to medium size cars right by the front door; the hot tub fits only like 3 adults. Overall the home is well maintained and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to a large family or a group of friends.

Great Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my grandsons first trip to the mountains (he’s 2). So we wanted somewhere special to stay and it could not have been better. My daughter, son in law, my husband and me stayed at Southern Comfort and it was perfect for us! The cabin has plenty to do if you just want to stay in and enjoy nature but close enough to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. However, if you have an older person with you that has trouble with stairs this is not the cabin for you. The 3 bedrooms together are downstairs from the living area, and the one bedroom is upstairs where the theater and games are. Elk Springs Lodge has beautiful cabins and we loved the area. We had a great time and definitely plan on using them again! ❤️

Southern Comfort Cabin

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was very clean and overall a nice cabin. There is not enough seating in the game room/theater room. There is only 1 couch in that area. We had to bring rocking chairs from outside to have enough seating for all of us. We had a few maintenance issues including the refrigerator leaking water down through the bathroom ceiling on the bottom level, the dryer was broken and we had to go to a laundry mat to dry our clothes that were already washed and the ceiling in the upstairs bedroom leaked when it rained. Maintenance was called for all the above issues and they responded immediately.

I usually stay in Serenity Lodge but some of the people in our group have difficulty walking up stairs so I chose Southern Comfort to make getting in the cabin in easier. It was spacious enough for everyone we had there. Plus, it’s pet friendly and we have a service dog. I’ll definitely consider this cabin again. Dealing with Elk Springs Resort is amazing. I’ve been renting thru them for about 10 years now and always book thru them for a cabin

The other two cabins I saw were equally as nice.Southern Comfort was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was well-stocked and the beds were extremely comfortable. Dan was very helpful with a last minute change due to our need to bring our dog. If we are ever in the area again, we will rent from Elk Springs Resort. I have already recommended it to friends.

As a plumber I would definitely recommend getting new ultra flush toilets because the ones there are old and needs work. I wish that the cabin would have been more handicap friendly. I say that because the bedrooms are etheir upstairs or downstairs and when you have a grown man who can't walk it made it very difficult for him to get to the bed or to take a shower.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin is nice overall. I will say that we were very disappointed in the bed pillows and linens. Under the pillow cases we found dirty, yellow from sweat pillows. One has spots of what appears to be blood stains, this is disgusting and unfortunate. On our second day while in the hot tub, two women pulled up in a Ford Explorer with trash bags on the roof from other cabins, they proceeded to empty them into the outdoor bins for our cabin. We asked that they not because we would have nowhere to put our trash. At first they said that’s what they do and it would be picked up later in the week leaving ours full despite the cabins around us being unoccupied. They changed their mind after we complained to them and removed the bags.
