This cabin has so much to recommend it! It's convenient to the main road but far enough away to be peaceful. It has a wonderful stream nearby that is so soothing. The hot tub is an absolute lifesaver after a strenuous hike in the GSM National Park, and the pool table and indoor and outdoor games provide lots of entertainment options. It turns out I'm no better at Galaga than I was in college, but it's still fun to play! The fire pit was another relaxing way to spend an evening. It is very private - you might be able to hear the neighbors across the creek, but you can't see them. All the little touches, from the bowl sinks to the hewn chairs to the double showers were so thoughtfully put in place. We didn't use the sauna, as it's not really our thing, but I'm sure it would have been great if we were. There are restaurants not too far away - we'd recommend Trish's for breakfast or lunch and you won't want to miss Adventure Moonshine not only for the surprisingly smooth moonshine but also for the food truck outside that had one of the most delicious burgers I've ever eaten (and I've eaten A LOT!). Merinda is the bartender and she'll gladly give you a crash course in moonshine distilling. We were very unimpressed with Crystelle Creek for dinner.The bartender was very nice, but the service was slow and the food uninspiring, to say the least. Finally, the cabin hosts were very accessible and thorough in their instructions and everything we could need was provided. A great stay!
