The host communicated really well. There are so many things that we enjoyed and appreciated. Lots of snacks and beverages available, the hot tub was perfect, and the fire pit was enjoyed by all. Thank you for the best experience we have had with a home away from home.

My family, brother and sisters family stayed here for my mother’s funeral service! It was exactly what we needed. All of us together to celebrate my beautiful mother’s life! This place was absolutely perfect for us! Plenty of room and a great outdoor space for us just to spend together as a family! The place was nice and spacious and quiet! Highly recommend for family gatherings.

This house had it all.

Cozy house with plenty of space and bathrooms. It rained most of the time but we had plenty of room to not be in top of eachother. Great county vibe with all the amenities you could ask for. Popcorn and coffee was well stocked. We will be back during the summer.

Moms 80th birthday party

Highly recommend this property. We flew in from the state of Washington to host my mom’s 80th birthday party. We had approximately 30 family members out for the day ranging from 6 months of age to of course 80. There was something to do for everyone here. The owner stocked the place up with everything you could think of. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place

We enjoyed the house and pool very much. We stay in VRBO houses a lot and this was by far the best as far as what is provided. Bottled water, popcorn, pop tarts, granola bars and ramen noodles. The coffe bar was also amazing! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook! We enjoyed the pool and will definitely be back.

Family Time

My sisters family traveled with mine (all adult children) to stay for the second year in a row. We visited the Waco water park one day and loved the house so much that we added an extra day this year to just enjoy the house! This house is better stocked than any out house I have stayed in. We are already making plans for next year.

Slice of Heaven on Texas soil

This place is full of love and you can feel it from the moment you step foot on the front porch. This rustic charm was great for a team of missionaries serving those in chains. We had team builders and unplugged and rested and it all felt so great and peaceful. The beds here were truly so comfortable according to everyone that stayed, not just me. The rustic touches all over the property just make this perfect. I love the hot tub and the pool, we didn't use the gym much but the equipment in there looked decent. The bridge was beautiful and we loved how it lead to the fire pit. Suggestions would be more front porch rocking chairs as well as several more on the back porch. But that is about it, everything else is just about perfect. Could there be more modern upgrades added over time? Sure. But I think it would take away from its natural beauty and Texas charm. We can't wait to go back again and again and again. We loved it so much our lead pastors are planning a family stay soon as well.

Feels like home

From the moment we walked in it felt like home. So comfortable and with lots of extras we didn't expect. They had water and snacks of all kind.... and I have to say the best stocked coffee bar of all the places we've stayed at! The pool was the hit for the little girls. But most of all was the stillness and quiet... Thanks for giving us a home away from experience!

Great family getaway

This property was very welcoming. Everything one could need and more was provided including coffee and snacks. The pool was clean and refreshing. Hot tub was a hit. Spent quality time enjoying family. Appreciated that all the information we needed was easy to understand and displayed prominantly. Would definitely go again!

Relaxing until the Scorpion Stings

My husband and our 2 daughters went for a weekend getaway. The place was a bit dusty in a few of the rooms, appeared to be some paint on the wood floors in one of the rooms, and nothing special on the inside. It had everything we needed though, so didn’t matter to us because most of our time was going to be spent outside. The kitchen was fully stocked with bottled waters, ramen, granola bars, coffee and popcorn which was nice. There were chickens, ducks, cats, etc roaming around the property which was nice. The kids really enjoyed that. We all had a great time, and then my first daughter was stung by a scorpion. She was swimming and the scorpion blended in with the rock edge and as she was getting out she put her hand down on it. Her mouth turned numb and tingly and it was scary for a while. Apparently this is a “normal” reaction as I was told by the hospital and poison control (we didn’t know as none of us had ever been stung before). 2 hours later, my other other daughter was trying to close the mosquito net that surrounds the exterior of the hot tub and it was like a horror movie. The scorpions started falling out from the netting. So, overall was very relaxing minus the scorpions. It actually rained the first night while we were there so the 2nd day we woke up to the beautiful creek sounds as the waterfall was going. I would suggest spraying the pool and hot tub areas for scorpions!

Incredibly Relaxing

My wife and I were looking for a place where we could relax in the middle of nowhere. This was perfect. We were able to have enough space where we were together yet apart. We can’t wait to come back with the kids next time. Perfect for a family.

Great Country Home for Group

We had a great time here. The hot tub and fire pit were fabulous with lovely details—snacks, battery lamps, coffee, hot chocolate etc. that made our trip so fun. Just a few suggestions: having wine glasses would be very nice Paper/styrofoam hot beverage cups for the fire pit or coffee for the road Towels for the hot tub that are beach towel sized
