Great place, great hosts

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It's a bit out of the way and quiet, and right in the heart of wine country. The view off the deck across the valley is beautiful.

Great home with the bonus of a great location.

We loved the house and the location on the vineyard. Beautiful views from the deck plus the bonus of great wine!! It's a very comfortable home and the host is very welcoming. The location was great as we explored the Willamette Valley area. Lots to see and do.....

Spacious and clean home with a beautiful view!

This home was lovely and clean. The ample deck and big windows showcase the beautiful view. The home is very spacious with large bedrooms and two living areas. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which worked really nicely for us!

Dream home in the wine country

My husband an I spend three lovely days in this beautiful home on top of the hill. The house is new, spacious, and modern. Our favorite was the large terrace where we enjoyed our coffee in the morning and marveled at the sunset with a glass of wine in the evening. Very quiet and peaceful area. Larry, the owner, is the most gracious host. He welcomed us with information on the area , tips on what to see and do, and was prompt to answer any questions we had during our stay. Thank you Larry and Cathy for sharing your stunning home with us! Johanna and Mathias

Great house with a beautiful view

The house was lovely. Three couples in my extended family used it for a quiet week away. The house was clean and the view outside the back deck was great. Some of the window coverings were a bit unwieldy, and we couldn't figure out how to operate the space age microwave for the life of us, but aside from that the house had everything we could ask for. The road leading up to the house was gravel and a bit slippery, so just use caution. The owners were very responsive when we reached out with a question.

Nice home. Slow internet. Metallic water.

Internet is incredibly slow <4 mb with <400k upload speed. Water smells and has high concentration of iron and whatever else is below the ground. We have photos of a stained new washing machine, yellow tinged water and stained sinks.

Wine trip

The house provided us everything we needed for an enjoyable wine adventure with a beautiful view, fine comfort, and a good location. We were quite happy.

Great place, short drive out of the city

Perfect location

We are five friends who take wine tour vacations together. We've been to Napa and the Central Coast, and we have been trying to get to Oregon for several seasons. The pandemic delayed our trip for another year but we finally made it! This property is gorgeous, built on the side of a hill overlooking farms and vineyards. The home was so comfortable for the five of us. We especially appreciated the huge, west-facing deck where we enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and beautiful sunsets almost every afternoon. We took turns cooking gourmet meals, and the fully-stocked kitchen had everything we needed. The appliances were brand-new and worked perfectly. The water on the property contains a lot of minerals so we suggest bringing a few jugs of water for drinking. The bedrooms were quiet and private, and the beds were very comfortable, with plenty of extra blankets if needed. That deck mentioned earlier was also a favorite place to enjoy morning coffee while watching the fog lift and the sunrise light up the hills across the valley. The owners live on another property up the road and were very responsive to every question and request. We ordered a couple of bottles of their wine (made from the grapes on the property!), which they delivered promptly. We especially enjoyed their Pinot Noir and the "Bubbly." They were very helpful in pointing us to local wineries, vineyards and tasting rooms that we may not have found otherwise. (Because of the pandemic, most were open by appointment only.) This is a beautiful, well-maintained property - definitely recommended!

Peaceful retreat

Out in the country, but close to everything. The house is amazing! We visited our favorite winery, cooked Christmas dinner in the wonderful kitchen and had some very special family time. We got to meet the owner and were able to purchase some of his wine from the vineyard surrounding the house. We will be returning some day!

Very good with potential to be great

This is a beautiful home with a view of the vineyard below. Sunsets are not to be missed. The owners live just up the hill and were welcoming and inviting hosts. The house is modern in design and layout and quite functional overall. Everything was clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked with essentials for cooking, cleaning, etc. There is a nice laundry room right off of the kitchen as well. In addition, the home's location is excellent for getting around the greater Willamette Valley. While this house is very good, with a few tweaks, it could be spectacular. Those tweaks might include: Addressing the well water problem, if possible. The water was rancid in taste and smell. We went with bottled water for everything but bathing after a few days. Each bedroom should have 2 nightstands (versus one or none now) and the two larger bedrooms could use a chair, versus a bed only. Put a regular shower head in the upstairs MBR (the current wand is weak and ineffective), throw a little artwork on the walls throughout the home, up your towel game (too many were old, thin, and stained) and you've got a home that would be hard to beat. Having said that, we enjoyed our stay and offer these suggestions as a way to improve what is already a very good vacation home experience.

Lovely Home & Beautiful View

This property was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it for a nice place to stay in Oregon wine country with a beautiful view of the mountains, orchards and vineyards. The only slight hiccup was check-in. The information sent in the email was not the correct information for the lock-box, we needed to call the owners. They were very nice and quick to respond. :)

Loved our stay. Beautiful new home. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. We cooked in each night, so might have been nice to have a few more platters, bowls, and serving items.... but other than that... the place is fantastic. Owner was more than helpful. We will be back!

The house is just like it looks in the pictures. It's gorgeous inside and an amazing view from the deck! We could have spent the entire day sitting on the deck overlooking the vineyard. Larry was extremely gracious and there for anything we needed.

Gaston Chic House Sept 2019

This house was very well thought out. It has a great layout. Open concept between the beautiful kitchen to living area. The deck can be accessed from both rooms. A good place to enjoy your coffee in the morning or a bottle of wine later in the day. There's an office space that can be closed off. The island in the kitchen was where we congregated in the morning with plenty of room for preparing some delicious meals that were made. Great views from all windows. The beds were very comfortable. This house overlooks the vineyard and valley - watch the clouds come and go. Plenty of seating. We all loved the house and wanted to stay longer. Location was great. Larry thank you for sharing your home with us. We hope to revisit Oregon again.
