We have stayed at several VRBO's and have been mostly pleased. This place is in a great location for seclusion. The check in at the rental office was simple with lots of free advice from the realtor. One was DO NOT take your boat or trailer to the house. It is a one lane road, very narrow and no place to turn a trailer around! They provide trailer parking at the rental office after dropping your boat in the water. Some what of a hassle, but no big deal. Check out the photo of the 'winter scene' which shows a view from the deck to the boat dock. GREAT boat dock slip but not an easy walk. If you are 'older', physically handicapped in any way, or not in fairly good shape, this is a very tough walk back up to the house with loose rocks and gravel and a STEEP incline, especially hauling coolers! You can tell the owner uses a 4-wheeler to make this journey and I can understand not leaving it for renters to use, but this should be clearly explained in the description. The upstairs kitchen is the most overstocked utensil kitchen I have ever seen. Drawers and cabinets are crammed full so no room to put your own items. We also have never seen so many family photos in a VRBO house before...kinda odd. Upon our arrival on Tuesday, we found the door knob/lock to patio broken and hot tub not working. We called the realtor and the owner finally arrived on Friday to fix them. Not too pleased with that. We are boaters and spent a lot of time on the water. If you have never been to Beaver Lake before, it is amazing. Clearest water aside from the ocean we have ever boated! We will definitely be back to Beaver Lake but we will find a more convenient location to stay next time.
