House was very clean and comfortable. It was a short drive to the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. We enjoyed seeing the bison that live on the property. We also saw elk around the property each morning.

The home was very comfortable, clean and had all the amenities that we needed. All of the beds were very comfortable. The host was very friendly and responsive. We loved all of the history of the family. The four baby bobcats playing in drive one evening was an added bonus. We loved exploring the park each day and seeing all of the wildlife. Great place to stay! Would highly recommend the Slip and Slide Ranch.

Most perfect lodging for Yellowstone. From the first email I sent with a ton of questions Susan responded immediately to it and all the follow up. Always completely through in her responses. It is great when you are dealing directly with an owner that lives almost next to property. the property was spotless and incredible views. Kitchen the best we've ever had in rental, everything was there you could possible need. So much room inside and outside. the views in the pictures do not do it justice, seeing the sun rise up on the mountains in the morning was stunning. You are 5 minutes away from yellowstone spring (closed on Mondays) and 15 minutes thru the north entrance gate. Plus you have Susan's son across the driveway who was wonderful to tell us highlights of the area and let us pet his dog Sweetie when we started missing our dogs in Oklahoma. the front porch and back deck are great to sit out, so peaceful. Bear spray is provided along with the best washer and dryer! Living room was so relaxing and everything in rental is top notch plus interesting history of the family's legacy. Can't imagine how our experience could have been any better. Only 5 miles from town of Gardnier, drive from Bozeman airport was so easy, about an hour and gorgeous drive in the mountains.Yellowstone river right across the street from property. Great to look out and see incredible barn and herd of buffalo! we hope to return very soon, thanks for sharing your hospitality and property with us.

What a great place to stay! Definitely coming back here again! The accommodations were clean, well equipped, and tastefully decorated. That is not the best part! The location is fantastic. It is located just a short drive from Gardiner and used to be a working ranch. Really added to the sense that you are "away from it all". Enjoyed talking with one of the owners Chuck and used his recommendations to find a place to spot Grizzly bears from a distance. His history of the ranch was interesting. It was easy to tour Yellowstone park from this location.

The barnhouse was a perfect “home away from home” for our trip to Yellowstone. It was conveniently located for Yellowstone and it was easily one of the best stocked VRBO rentals I have stayed in. Family is near the property and they gave us guidance on the area but never interfered with our plans. If you are think about staying around the north entrance to Yellowstone or just staying in Gardiner area, look no further, select this property for your stay. Livingston is also a nicely town to visit. Also, check out the bakery and bbq in Emigrant.

Absolutely incredible place to stay. Stunning property. My kids loved seeing - and getting to pet - the horses. Sitting on the back deck at night gave amazing views of the stars. One of the owners made a foolproof recommendation for seeing grizzlies which was much appreciated. The house has everything you could possibly need - from a fully stocked kitchen to toiletries and laundry soap. The owner was super easy to communicate with throughout our whole stay. Quick 10-15 minute drive into Gardiner. If we ever make it back this way, we would consider ourselves lucky if we could stay here again. Can’t say enough good things. Would highly recommend.

Awesome Place

We absolutely loved our stay at the Slip n Slide ranch! We visited Yellowstone during the day and enjoyed our time at the ranch when returning. The bison and horses were a trip highlight! Our host was more than accommodating and quick to respond if we had a question. The house is spacious and clean. We would highly recommend a stay at the ranch!

Perfect Getaway Just Minutes from Yellowstone

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home! It was exactly as described, cozy, welcoming, and perfect for our family of five adults. The location was serene and peaceful, with breathtaking views in every direction. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the front and back porches and even had elk wander through the yard one evening—truly unforgettable.The home was spotless and incredibly well stocked with everything we could possibly need. Beds were comfortable, and every room felt thoughtfully prepared. Check-in and check-out were simple and smooth.Susan was responsive and easy to communicate with, and her son Chuck was so friendly and offered great suggestions for local spots to check out.The home is in a great location, just a very short drive to Yellowstone’s North Entrance, but felt like a world away in all the best ways. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, nature, and convenience.

What an amazing place! Our family of 5 loved the Barnhouse at Slip & Slide Ranch! It was the perfect retreat after some long days exploring nearby Yellowstone National Park. We loved the breathtaking views, comfortable quarters and that it was stocked with everything you need! After a long day of family time together it was nice to go our separate ways and enjoy the indoor and outdoor spaces on our own. The owners are very kind and reachable for any need. This is hands down one our top family's places we have stayed! We hope to come back again some day!

The property was wonderful. We stayed 2 nights. 3 adults and 3 kids. We had plenty of room and it was very comfortable. We stayed at 4 different properties on our trip and this was the best. The kids liked petting the horses and playing games. We fixed a couple of meals and everything we needed was available.
