Great venue for a family camp

The venue was great to let kids play in the gym and game room (which they loved) while also providing a very comfortable place for adults to talk and a kitchen to make it easy to feed everyone.

So many compliments about the retreat from family members. We had a group of just under 50 people and there were so many things to do that every age group from toddler to senior was impressed.

Perfect for our Student Leadership Retreat

We brought 28 high school students to River Canyon for a leadership retreat. This venue was perfect for our needs. The meeting room was perfect for our learning sessions and speaker, and there were lots of activities to keep the students busy during free time. The hosts were available and helpful. We will book with them again next year if it works out.

Property fits all our needs

This place handles a group well without a lot of fuss. We have been here winter and summer and it's always fun with lots to do. It is a little confusing about the bedding if its furnished or not. I wish they would furnish bedding for everything or nothing. The gym entertains all ages and is a big plus, especially in cold weather. Hope to return someday.

Great Place for Work Retreat

We loved this venue for our work retreat. There were plenty of spaces for folks to gather. We had people of many ages and abilities and found it easy to navigate the property. We could have easily spent a few more days exploring all that the grounds and nearby surroundings have to offer!

Fantastic Family Reunion

The property was close to many excursions and has so many amenities that we (64 of us- ages 2-86) NEVER lacked for things to do. Greg and Sheryl were the best hosts in explaining the functions of the camp and helping us have all we needed for a great time. The kitchen was stocked well. If there was an issue - I’d say the knives need sharpening or need to be replaced. Great place. Clean! Reasonably priced. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

The Facility was very accommodating. The hosts Greg and Cheryl were amazing to deal with. Very friendly.

We have never been to a place that met our needs like the River Canyon Retreat. The sleeping arrangement fit very well for what we had to deal with. Easy check and check out. Plenty of activities for the kids and adults to participate in. Local activities helped as well. This facility is very well equipped to fit the needs of most family or group gatherings. The kitchen was very easy to use and was well equipped with the pots and pans for our variety of cooking needs,

Great spot for a big group

We had a wonderful stay with our group of 55, extended family ages 0-75. The kitchen area was great to cook in, the dining area fit everyone easily, the rooms were nice, the bathrooms updated and clean, and the gym and the pool were so fun for all the kids. Thanks for providing a place we could comfortably be together!

We had a great time at River Canyon!

We used River Canyon to host our high school church retreat and had a wonderful time! The students loved the different amenities such as the gym, game room, and hot tub! There was plenty of space for us and the staff was very communicable and cooperative with us! Will definitely look to stay here again!

We had a fantastic time at a great location and facility!!!!!!!!

Our family, about 75 of us, had a great and wonderful time at the River Canyon Retreat! The facility was excellent! It has soooo many things to do onsite! A shooting range was about 5 minutes away and was free! A golf course was about 15 minutes away and was quite nice! We took advantage of almost all of the facilities amenities. Greg and Cheryl were very helpful and kind. It didn't bother them that we asked for help from them a few times. They were extremely pleasant and helpful. We would stay at the RCR again! Thank you so much!

Family Christmas

Our second time at River Canyon and we couldn’t be more pleased. Our young children love the bouncy house and slide. Older members enjoyed shooting baskets and the game room. The kitchen and dining area perfect for our large family meals.

Unforgettable Memories

This is an extraordinary venue and the care and love that goes into it is seen at every level! Hospitality and the ease of just being there and forgetting about life for awhile! What a beautiful place! This resort have everything you would want in retreat or reunion venue and is great for families and corporate team-building You need to have your next event here at the River Canyon Resort!

Youth Winter Camp

Incredible Winter Camp Experience! We had an amazing time at River Canyon Retreat for our winter camp! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with snow-covered landscapes that made for a perfect winter retreat. The accommodations were top-notch—comfortable, clean, and well-equipped for our group. The staff was welcoming and made sure everything ran smoothly. From the beautiful surroundings to the cozy atmosphere, it was the ideal place to connect, grow, and enjoy the season. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and look forward to coming back! Highly recommend for any group looking for a peaceful and inspiring retreat.

The best place for women's retreats!

I have been so impressed (and thankful) for the River Canyon Retreat Center. The staff is wonderful and has always been accommodating to our needs. Everything was clean and ready for us to come right in and begin our weekend! Cheryl worked with our caterer to ensure he could get on property and prep for our first meal. I would highly recommend this location for any function you have planned. Just a few minutes away from downtown Crouch--a special little town!

Fits our family

We had 74 people (ranging from 6 months to 79 years old) at RCR for our family reunion and we all fit! After 5 nights we could have all stayed longer. The gym is amazing and used every minute of the day. The kitchen can actually support cooking for a large crowd. It's amazing to find a place so user friendly, in a beautiful location with the nicest onsite property managers ever! I do believe having some kind of cancelation policy would be a good idea and a good business move. I can't think of another rental property that doesn't have one in place. But all in all, we have loved all 3 of our stays at RCR!

A Fun and Hospitable Retreat Center!

The men from our church had a wonderful retreat here. The facilities are great and we found everything very clean and tidy on our arrival. The onsite amenities are fantastic and a lot of fun. Though you could have a great time staying onsite, Garden Valley also has a lot to off for a great time. Greg and Cheryl were very kind, hospitable, and communicative and available for help at any time! We look forward to hosting our retreats here again in the future!

Fun for All

We were very comfortable in the home with plenty of room for all. The kitchen made cooking together a fun time with everything you could possible want. We've been here several times and never been disappointed. The gym gives kids their own space with all the activities to keep them entertained. This was a great time for us all.

Our family had the best time ever

We had our family reunion at River Canyon, about 75 of us of all ages for 4 nights. The a facility provided a place to play, visit cook and eat. The physical arrangements for sleeping met our needs vary well. The property is well maintained . There are a variety of fun things to do off property as well.

Summer Camp Wedding

We hosted our wedding at RCR for about 60 guests. Some stayed on site, some opted for hotels nearby. Regardless, everyone had a fantastic time. During the day we had our ceremony, guests played bags, fished in the pond, took walks around the property. For our reception we held it in the gym. Our DJ found the stage to be perfect for his set up and the gym floor doubled as our dance floor. Come night time guests hopped in the hot tub and chatted by the picnic tables. It was everything we could have hoped for. I would recommend RCR to anyone and everyone looking for a nice get away with friends and family!

Family Reunion

We had our family reunion this year at River Canyon Retreat, and it was fantastic! We loved that there was space for all 81 of us to be together on the same property. We enjoyed the rock climbing wall, bounce houses, hot tub, swimming pool, fishing pond, game room, and playing volleyball/basketball games. The walk-in refrigerator, kitchen, and dining facilities were great for helping to prepare and serve meals to our group. Everyone had an amazing time, and memories were created that we will always cherish. Thank you, River Canyon Retreat!

Great Facility!

We had our company retreat at River Canyon, and what I can say is this facility exceeded our expectations. Cheryl and Greg were awesome to work with, they were right there if we had questions. We had 20 people and they all had a great time, and let's not forget about the elk herd and wild turkeys that came up on the property while we were there! Just beautiful! Thank you again, and you just may see us again next year!

Incredible facility…incredible service

The Silletti was perfect for a family reunion of over 100 people. There are fun things for all ages. The gym was a huge attraction that kept bringing kids and adults. Happy and having lots of fun. We had one issue with the DVD player, and they went beyond the call of duty to get it working for us. All smiles in our group.

Amazing Venue for Group Retreats

We had a group retreat for about 40 adults and RCR provided a perfect setting. The beds were comfy, everything was really clean, and there was plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable. We really enjoyed having a kitchen, lounge, and the gym and the dining area was the perfect size. Lots of great space for our meeting and for recreation. The hosts are very thoughtful and we appreciated the extras like sports equipment, kitchen equipment, games, and that they made cleaning supplies available to guests. The view of the mountains is incredible and we loved watching the elk move around the area throughout the day.

All we hoped for and more!

River Canyon Retreat is a hidden gem... right in plain sight. It's a wonderful venue in a delightful setting and a very reasonable / enjoyable drive from the Boise valley... what's not to love? Greg & Cheryl are just as welcoming and helpful as all the other reviews said they would be! :-) Our gathering had a number of special needs and they did everything humanly possible to make our time a success. Their heart for hospitality shows in every communication and detail. Thanks River Canyon Retreat for being the answer to our prayers for a great retreat venue!
