This may sound a bit exaggerated, but I assure you it isn't. We have been to Tuscany on a few occasions, but this apartment was the most beautiful, tranquil and well-equipped property that we have stayed in. The apartment is very comfortable and relaxing, spacious and airy, a functioning kitchen (which isn't always the case in rental properties) well-tended, colourful gardens, a lovely pool and wonderful views. Mike's advice to stock up enroute at the Conad supermarket is worth following, so that you don't have to drive to Gambassi Carrefour too often (although it is a friendly store). There are restaurants of various levels in the area, and we ate well at all those we visited. We stayed for two weeks, and I wish it had been three.

My wife and I were on a three week trip of Italy, wanting to stay in the Tuscany area for one week. Most hotels and B&B do not have bath tubs or clothes washing facilities. Although this unit was not in the location I desired, the advertisement indicated an electric washer/dryer and a tub. ( My wife prefers to bath rather than shower) Upon arrival I contacted the property owner and asked the location pf the electric dryer............he indicated that there was a drying rack located outside. I asked about the electric dryer and did not receive an answer. OK, that evening I attempted to draw a bath for my wife. I looked for the taps and tub spout, not located anywhere. I contacted the owner again, his response ( I prefer to shower in the morning using the hand held shower) That might work for him but it was not what I expected. Using the hand held shower head takes about two hours to draw a bath. If one is considering renting this property, one should be aware that there is a 2 1/2 KM road (gravel) into the property that is not well kept. One should have a truck or SUV to travel this road. The owner does live on site and this property is poorly maintained.

Quiet spot with wonderful views in the countryside.

Lovely, quiet spot to stay. Enjoyed the pool and wonderful views. Great communication and quick responses from our host. Excellent information provided prior to our arrival and as well once we arrived. Air conditioning in the bedrooms made sleeping easy in the hot heat while there. Very clean, comfortable furniture and beds and the kitchen is very well stocked. If you want to get out of the big cities and stay in Tuscany this is an excellent base and the travel out to the various towns are easy drives. Highly recommend.

In the middle of het Toscane landschap een zeer relaxte vakantie gehad. Het is zeer rustig en afgelegen, op het platteland waar het heet was. Om naar de supermarkten en stadjes te gaan is het een half uur rijden ( waarvan 7 minuten over een grindpad) prima voorzieningen, lekker zwembad en privé gedeelte met tuin.

Tranquility at its finest

This property is absolutely stunning and peaceful. My wife and I booked for our anniversary and it was exactly what we were looking for. A quiet, peaceful Tuscan countryside retreat. Heart of Tuscany

Centrally located between Siena, Pisa, Florence and the Mediterranean Sea. Nearby is the beautiful San Gimignano. Great view from the house to Volterra over the hills of Tuscany. Very quiet place to relax with fantastic shared swimming pool. Correspondence with the owner Mike was nice and uncomplicated. We can highly recommend this place.

Toskana wie man sie sich erträumt

Die Ferienwohnung war mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt, um sich rundum wohlzufühlen. Der Pool ist groß genug um darin zu schwimmen. Die Aussicht auf Volterra und das Hügelland ist bei jedem Wetter wunderbar. Die Zufahrt über einen Schotterweg ist mit jedem normalen Auto möglich. Wir haben den Urlaub dort sehr genossen.

Fantastic!

If you are looking for a place in the stunning Tuscan countryside, this fits the bill nicely! A car is required and you have to travel about 3kms down a gravel road but once you are there, it is outstanding! The peace, the quiet, the beautiful rolling hills. Mike is an excellent host, is responsive and provides all the information you need to have a fantastic visit. The apartment is on the second floor so there are 17 steps to navigate but the views are incredible. Two nicely sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, decent internet and laundry. What more could you ask for? We loved it.

Rural Bliss

After 2 days in Florence, in the middle of an intense heatwave, it was a relief to arrive at this lovely Italian home in the countryside. With stone walls, large windows and air conditioning, it was a comfortable retreat after a morning excursion. Within half an hour of Volterra (stunning) and San Gimignano (try the pink grapefruit and champagne world championship-winning ice cream!) we may have felt we were living in the middle of nowhere but there is so much to see and do within a short driving distance. The cottage itself has almost everything you need (except the advertised dishwasher) but the gorgeous view from the kitchen window almost erases this as you wash up. Parking outside the complex is plentiful and access to Netflix useful when the mosquitoes arrive in the dark of a Summer's evening. We made daily use of the pool and even there the cottage owns the most comfortable of loungers. The information Mike sends and speedy response to questions made it all very easy for us. He even recommended a supermarket then gave us precise driving instructions from it. The cottage was very clean on arrival although the oven would benefit from some attention.. (I find that in every holiday rental). Thank you Mike-we have so many happy memories to treasure

Sehr entspannter Urlaub in Gambassi Terme

Das Appartment von Mike auf der Podere Collinella ist sehr nett eingerichtet und eine echte Wohlfühl-Location für einen Toskana-Urlaub. Es liegt inmitten einer traumhaften typisch toskanischen Landschaft sehr ruhig und abgeschieden. Vorteil dabei: Traumhaftes 360 Grad-Panorama, und durch die Lage auf der Hügelkuppe abends/nachts kühlende Winde die es zumindest uns Mitte Juni auch bei hohen Tagestemperaturen ermöglichten, ohne die (in beiden Schlafzimmern vorhandene) Klimaanlage zu schlafen. Ein Auto ist aber unabdingbar und Einkaufslisten, sollten gut überlegt sein, da die Fahrt über die 3 km gravel road / unbefestigte Straße runter zur Landstraße nichts ist, was man nur wegen ein paar vergessenen Eiern nochmal machen will. Dafür hat man eine sehr ruhige Lage und ist trotzdem schnell in Montaione, Volterra und San Gimignano. Auch Siena und Florenz sind gut zu erreichen (je ca 1h Fahrt). Das Anwesen ist äußerst gepflegt und liebevoll angelegt. Der Pool ist schön groß und somit auch ausreichend, wenn mehrere Familien dort baden (Die Anlage hat 8 Appartments). Das Appartment ist sehr gemütlich und ländlich/stilvoll eingerichtet und die Küche bietet alles, was man zum Kochen und Essen braucht. Kaffeekapseln, Öl, Essig, Salz, Pfeffer und einige andere Gewürze sind vor Ort und können benutzt werden, wenn man entsprechend eben auch etwas da lässt.... Zudem gibt es am ersten Tag ein Welcome Pack, was zumindest ein erstes Frühstück ohne vorherigen Einkauf ermöglicht. Der Supermarkt in Montaione (10 km) hat auch Sonntag vormittags geöffnet, so dass man sich bei langer Anfahrt an einem Samstag keinen Stress machen muss, noch Wochenendvorräte zu kaufen oder mitzubringen. Gutes Wifi und TV mit Netflix und Amazon prime sorgen dafür, dass auch Teenager sich nicht zu einsam/abgeschnitten fühlen.... Wir haben den Sitzplatz mit der Aussicht und Grill sehr genossen. Mike hat eine umfassende Beschreibung bezüglich der Wohnung und auch viele Tipps zur Umgebung (Restaurantempfehlungen etc). Rundum eine tolle Ferienunterkunft für eine Familie oder zwei Paare - was durch die getrennten Schlafzimmer mit separaten Bädern auch gut funktioniert. Tipp für die Anfahrt: unbedingt nach Mikes Beschreibung fahren - nicht nach Auto-Navi, welches die Adresse in der Regel nicht kennt. Wenn man dann den Abzweig von der Landstraße zur Anlage als Wegpunkt einmal speichert, ist es ab da spielend einfach.... Bei Fragen ist Mike auch sehr gut zu erreichen.

Peaceful well equipped apartment.

Excellent apartment in remote, quiet countryside. Mike has thought of most things and the directions and information were very complete and helpful. We weren’t able to use the pool because the weather didn’t cooperate but it looked lovely. The only thing I would change is to improve the window screens because some don’t have screens, and we like to have windows open and he said that is on his list. All and all as very nice stay.

Beautiful, quiet, rural location. Well kept & equipped accommodation. Nice pool. Great to explore places such as San Gimignano & Volterra. Mike, the owner, is very friendly, communicative & helpful. Cons for us as a young family: a little bit isolated, the pool being a uniform depth wasn’t ideal for really little ones. I think it’s best suited for older couples & families. Overall, very satisfied.

Superbe endroit au cœur de la campagne toscane

Petit appartement avec charme ! Très bien équipé et avec une terrasse en contre-bas superbe. Piscine très bien entretenue et propreté générale impeccable. Idéal pour 4 personnes (nous étions 5) car seules deux chambres sont climatisées. Petit bémol, il y a un lave-linge mais un lave-vaisselle serait plus utile. Je recommande cet endroit et Mike le propriétaire est à notre écoute. Un grand merci
