Have fun with the whole family at this stylish place. Welcome in to the "Welcome Inn" at the Maravilla - top floor condo with gorgeous views to the gulf of Mexico from the minute you step inside. The condo is stylish and comfy, ready for you to enjoy your Galveston Getaway! The king bed (fit for a king, a queen, or both!) in the bedroom, true twin bunks in the hallway alcove and a large, top of the line queen sleeper sofa in the living room - comfortable for both seating and sleeping up to 2 guests - inviting up to 6 guests to enjoy this lovely top-floor condo with amazing views of the gulf of Mexico.
Everything you can think of has been thought of by the owners of the "Welcome Inn"! From the comfiest of furniture, to the kitchen completely furnished with not only full-sized appliances but also dishes, cookware, countertop appliances, and both regular and keurig coffee makers. The decor is "just enough" - not over the top - so when you're taking selfies the decorations won't compete with your outfit! One of the rare finds that has a washer/dryer in the condo - so you can pack light or stay longer!
With regard to dogs - we ask that no dogs be permitted on the furniture, ever. We may ask you for a picture of your canine companion. Only one small dog, 50# or smaller, may be in this condo, and requires approval in advance. No animal or breed identified as dangerous or vicious including pit bulls, rottweilers, German shepherds, chows or Dobermans or any mutt that contains the blood line of any of these breeds. This is an insurance regulation. Dogs only - sorry - no cats, birds, snakes, pelicans, elephants, giraffes or monkeys (or anything else).
The Maravilla charges a resort/amenity/parking fee of $10 per vehicle per day to a maximum of $70/vehicle/month. This is paid to their office upon arrival - not to the owner of the condo or to My Galveston Getaway. Upon payment the office staff will provide you with wristbands that identify you as a registered guest at the property, a parking permit to display in your vehicle(s), and codes to access the property's amenities (pools, hot tub, fitness room).
Check in time is 4:00 p.m. at all properties we manage to afford the cleaners and the inspectors time to get the place ready for you, and check out time is 11:00 a.m. so that they can prepare it for the next guests as well. The pools (3 at the complex, one heated in the off-season), hot tub, fitness center, etc. - are managed by the complex, not us - so from time to time they may be closed for service, cleaning, maintenance and we are sorry but we can't speed up their repairs or completion.
Please note that while this condo/complex are gulf front - it's not beach-front. The nearest sandy beach is roughly half a mile away. An easy walk if you're up for it and not toting a bunch of toys and kiddos - but there is also parking near/on the beaches of Galveston to make things easy.
There are showers by the pools - if you don't mind - please rinse the sand off before coming back in the condo, you'll be glad you did!
We will email you check in information 24-48 hours ahead of your arrival. We are a phone call or email away, but in general we allow our guests to just enjoy their vacation!
My Galveston Getaway provides starter supplies of toiletries, paper products, dish cleaning options and coffee to get our guests started and situated before making their shopping lists and determining which shopping option works best for their group. These supplies are not intended to last your entire group the duration of your stay - but to get started!
We also provide one bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth for each guest that the unit sleeps, along with 2 dish towels. Should you wish to have additional housekeeping services during your stay or to have linen swaps during your stay, these can be arranged with advance notice upon request at an additional cost.
There is currently construction going on in one building of the complex. This does not affect the condo you are reserving from us or any of the amities of the complex.
Galveston is a barrier island in Texas located on the Gulf of Mexico. From time to time we have unexpected rain, thunderstorms, and sometimes we do have tropical storms and hurricanes. From time to time there may be brief interruptions in electricity and WiFi services due to weather. You should consider purchasing trip interruption or cancelation protection through the platforms or another source. We are unable to guarantee sunny days, mosquito free nights and perfect weather, nor do we refund for these possibilities. We issue refunds in the event of mandatory evacuations issued by a governmental agency, or for the property being unavailable due to damages and extended power outages. Trip cancelation and interruption coverage is available through most booking platforms as well as through private vendors found on the world wide web should you wish to purchase such a policy.
After making your reservation you will receive a link to complete our renters agreement. The only information we request differently than the booking platforms (VRBO/AirBnB) is your personal email address, the names and ages of each person who will be in the property during your stay, and your driver’s license information as well as an emergency contact should we need to reach someone on your behalf. Thank you for completing this in a timely manner so that we may send you the check-in instructions for the property you have reserved.
For all reservations made directly through our website and through VRBO, there is a $300 security deposit “hold” required. You certainly can purchase trip cancellation/interruption coverage through those platforms as well if you so desire, this is a damage “deposit” hold. This is released once our housekeepers advise that the property has been left in the condition received with no damages occurring during your stay. This is not a charge, but a hold on the credit card on file with which the reservation is made. My Galveston Getaway cancellation policy: If your cancelation is received more than 30 days before your scheduled arrival date, there is a $100 cancelation fee, the remainder is refundable. If your reservation is cancelled 14-30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date there is a $100 cancelation fee, 50% of the remainder is refundable. If your cancelation is made between arrival and 13 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, there will be no refund issued.

Great location.
Great locations stayed for three nights with my family five of us. We love the community. They were awesome to let us extend our stay by one more night.

Galveston Condo
The property and pool were great. The condo was clean and was large enough for our family of 4. Communication via the VRBO app was very slow but when contacted over the phone the property manager was helpful and fast. Check was easy. Parking pass QR code didn’t work on my phone so that was a bit confusing. Construction was still going on but did not affect us in any way. Overall it was a good stay.

Across the street from beach
The apartment and pool area was very clean and smelled nice. View of the beach was also good. Overall pleasant place to stay. If you are not picky, and you are ok with walking across s the street, it does the job. Only thing is that the front part of the complex seems to have been damaged a long time ago and does not look like they are working on it at all. So curve appeal (front of f complex) is not good at all. So I gave it four stars because the rest of the place is ok, and like I said apartment was clean and very pleasant.

AMZING Location
Pros:
This is a top level condo with a great view of the ocean off the balcony. The elevator is very close by, but we were not disturbed by any noise.
Easy walk to the beach!
Redone interior with neutral colors, plenty of towels, nice TVs, kitchen well stocked.
The pools onsite were phenomenal.
Cons:
King size bed was unbearably hard. We called for a mattress topper, and we were told they didn't have anything to offer. We wound up using the twin mattresses from the hall bunks on top of the king mattress to add some cushion.
The building is being redone on the exterior, and it is desperately needed. Many, many areas of wear on the building.
There was a roach in the kitchen our last night crawling out of the kitchen sink. Just gross.
We asked about the ice maker and were told they're always disconnected so there would not be any ice.
The interior was odd when we got there. Like the side chair was randomly sitting in the middle of the living room. The coffee tables were pulled apart and slid across the floor. And a barstool was pulled out. It just gave the feel that someone had just been sitting in there and not that it had just been cleaned.
Be sure to bring your own laundry necessities.
Despite the Keurig in the pictures, the starter pack came with coffee for a coffee pot. So we had to buy k cups. Not a big deal, but we had planned not to have to do that night one, since it was described as being provided.
There are no beach items in the unit at all.

BUYER BEWARE IT IS NOT LIKE THE PICTURES IN THE AD!
The photos were strategically taken to hide the imperfections which really shows that they were hiding something.
The front building WOW! It looks two heartbeats from being condemned and is an eyesore. I discovered that it has been like this since last year!!!
The elevator #1 adjacent to our unit is out. And has been for three months. Our paperwork indicated it was working. They didn’t have a time frame on its repair. We are both over 75 and on Wednesday had to use the elevator #3 at the complete opposite end on the complex because #2 was being repaired.
Check-in the management person was on the phone the entire time, he handed me an instruction sheet and told me to read it. Done.
Now for the interior. The bathroom sink faucet is misaligned and loose you can turn it sideways. The AC duct work looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. The ceiling has two spots where it had been leaking. Fridge is rusty. Ice maker inoperable. It takes about 5 minutes to get hot water. It is so bright in the bedroom at night we had to rig something to shut out the light. There is no chest-of-drawers in the unit to store your folded clothes. The vent in the bathroom is covered in dust.
the description that was provided in the listing was a misrepresentation of the actual condition of the property. Buyer beware doesn’t apply, since I couldn’t do my due diligence and inspect the unit in advance.
Had I known about these issues I would NEVER have rented here. And never will again!!
