Soccer stay

When we arrived the procedure for getting in and out of home was absolutely amazing. The home was clean updated and all the amenities we needed for our stay. The drive from where our tournament was located was from west to the complete opposite end of the island. But it was a beautiful drive early in the morning and not more than 30 minutes. The walk to the beach from the house was only about 3 minutes and was not as crowded. The Blue Crulew was perfect. Will stay again when we return.

A perfect little getaway

Pros: Check in was a breeze and the property is exactly as pictured! A very cute place to stay with a short walk to the beach. However if you'd rather drive, there's limited parking in the grass by the beach entrance. The outdoor shower was a life saver! It has a handheld shower head so it was really convenient. Not specified on the listing is the fact that the small bed has a trundle mattress in it so there's actually 4 beds total and there were plenty of linens for us to use. The kitchen is stocked with basic cookware, toaster, plates, mugs, Keurig and regular coffee pot. It was perfect for our brief beach escape! Cons: We noticed a beach wagon and boogy boards in the lower level storage but it was not accessible. I messaged the host asking if that was supposed to be available to us but they never responded. The floor was gritty and there were 4 dead/dieing roaches so it didn't feel very clean at first. I know it's a "beach" house so sand should be expected, but it really seemed like the floor wasn't swept. I appreciated that the roaches weren't actively running around so at least they have good pest control addressing the issue. There were no instructions for checking out so that made me nervous. Some homes specify "Enjoy your vacation, there's no check out instructions". I think having something like that would put others minds at ease.

It’s just ok but far from wonderful.

The inside of the property is clean and reasonably well furnished. No complaints about the quality of appointments or supplies. It should be noted that the outside of the home isn’t well maintained. The grass driveway has weeds almost 2 feet tall and mounds of ants everywhere. Watch where you step. This also leads to mosquito problems. They are bad and then make it inside. It’s likely partly attributable to the area, but they are definitely worse due to the unkempt nature of the yard. The maintenance company doesn’t respond to early check in requests and the check out time is 10am. Yes that’s advertised but notably earlier than any hotel or many other properties. Be ready to hit the road early. It wasn’t a horrible experience but not the kid. Of property where you’ll be saying “I’ll stay there again.”

Cute house in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach.

House was cute and perfect size for our small group. House advertises Queen beds but they are Double/Full size beds. They were comfortable but smaller than advertised. Sheets and bathrooms were clean but refrigerator drawers need cleaned and stove top definitely has not been cleaned well for a while. Also, large burners do not sit flat. I think the pans are the wrong size so you have to cook on a slant. We found a dirty diaper under the bedroom ottoman and trash under bed so it’s obvious they are doing the bare minimum cleaning between quests. None of it ruined our trip but the smaller beds might be an issue for some people and the dirty stove made everything in the kitchen feel dirty to me. I emailed this info along with a question and they answered my question but didn’t address these issues at all. AC is always a concern of mine when renting, but no worries here. AC works great.
