I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to check in early by 4 hours. They also allowed for us to add an extra dog to the stay for an additional pet deposit of $50.
Unfortunately the property had a lot of issues with it. Beginning with the trash outside the property, there was a red hat and beer cans left outside the gate. When entering there were several broken items, such as a folding chair, a water gun, and other “beach things” that weren’t usable, but likely left behind by other guests and never disposed of.
The inside has several issues as well. The floor was uneven in several places, foundation issues surely. There were not enough towels for each person, nor a washer and dryer to clean the used ones.
The kitchen had sugar ants everywhere you can think of. Around the sink, around the oven top, even where some of the cooking ware was stored. The dish washer had broken metal, which created rust and sharp edges on the top and bottom racks. The fact that I had to constantly kill ants while cooking was just disgusting. We were forced to mainly eat out during our stay.
Lastly, the listing stated there was a number for the community pool where tickets could be purchased ahead of time. I made several attempts to call the office, with no return calls. We arrived Friday, and were told that the office is closed on Saturday which was when the response came from listing manager. So we were unable to use the pool, which was mainly the reason we picked the listing.
