The house is in great location! It’s roomy and the backyard with the deck is so nice!! There was a cat that perched on the back porch whining and acting like it wanted in. I tapped on the window and it ran off.

Overall it was a lovely property in a beautiful location! When we checked in, there was trash left (see photos) throughout the house which wasn’t the nicest. But my friends greatly enjoyed the deck and were overall quite comfortable.

House is in a great location (however I’m not sure that short term rental homes are technically allowed in this neighborhood). Loved the upper deck on the water. House was cool in main areas but the bedrooms were a bit warm and we could only adjust temperature for a few hours at time and then it would increase again (so was up twice in the night bumping it back down to a cool enough temp). Everything was nice and clean. Kitchen is gorgeous and plenty of dishes. Beds are all very comfy!!

Very clean home, lovely environment. Only complaints were the appliances.

Over all it was a lovely experience. The outside hangout area was for sure the highlight, right up on the water with multiple spots to relax. My only issue was some of the appliances, the grill was rusted out at the bottom, so we didn’t attempt using it. Then we found some mold of a cutting board, and the upstairs right bedroom lights were out. Though all things that can be fixed, I understand how hectic renting out a property can be. The hosts gave a solution, and offered sending someone over to address the issues. Great communication, very clean place. Would rent again.

Wonderful stay in Galveston

The place was amazing. Really enjoyed staying at this property with my family. We were here for our Granddaughters gymnastics competition. The property was perfect location, only five minutes away from the gymnastics at convention center. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Gareth and Chastidy.

Great place

Fantastic place, wish we had more time to stay, just a quick fishing trip this go around. The house was conveniently located and maintained very well. Only thing I would suggest is to bring your own pillows if you prefer a firm one, and bug spray if you’re going down by the water. ( I had half the blood sucked out of my body!) Other than that, everything was perfect

Spacious, great location

The house has ample room to accommodate a larger party. We stayed with only 2 adults and 2 kids + our dog. The kids loved having room options! We loved the decks and water location. It’s close to Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, and the beach. Parking is easy. The neighborhood is safe. Recommend for a relaxing getaway.

Beautiful home on the water

The name of this property is 100% correct. It is an oasis. Check-in was easy, the home is beautiful, and everything we needed was available, from comfortable beds to plenty of towels and coffee. The views from the deck are beautiful - I loved having coffee every morning and watching the fish jump. Would definitely book again!

Quiet enclave

Stayed one night. Location suitably convenient for quick access to the seawall and nearby attractions. Property met the needs of our group of 10. Master bed very comfortable, upstairs beds to the left could use better mattress and sheets. The sheets had funny smell, as if they remained in the washing machine too long before being put into a dryer. That's minor, and far as I know, it didn't take away from the enchanted time and memories enjoyably created. My family is pleased with the experience. We didn't have problem with neighbors nor were we problems to the neighbors but be aware, it's a quiet-serene-enclave. I wouldn't suggest acquiring for super high energy/high traffic event.

WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD BEDBUG

Ive stayed in Galveston numerous times in several beach homes. This was the worst experience I've ever had renting a beach home. Upon arriving the lawn wasn't maintained like the pictures 2. Dishwasher had the house smelling like something died, with tons of flies all over the place. 3. Upon inspecting the beds, found a bedbug. 4. No curtains and furniture is in need of cleaning and replaced. 4. Food all in the chairs dining room chair's. Owner is not as welcoming as others that we've rented from at all. This was a nightmare! I had to take at least 1 hr trying to kill all of the flies, this was suppose to be a vacation. Paid for 3 nights and only was there for 2hrs at the most after discovering the BEDBUG. NOW IM HAVING A TIME GETTING MY DEPOSIT AND MY RENTAL FEE BACK.

Nice Overnight Getaway

Our church decided to take our youth girls on an overnight getaway. We went to Schlitterbahn for the day and then stayed at the beach house for the night to have a fun girls night. The house was literally right across the street from Schlitterbahn, it was beautiful, perfect fit for all of us, clean, and smelled amazing. The only small complaint were there were quite a few crawling insect encounters, but it also wasn't totally unexpected because we were staying right on the lake. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking here again in the future!

Perfect location for inside and outside activities!

Very nice home in a quiet lovely neighborhood just across the street from Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn. Convenient location to everything on Galveston Island. The lovely outdoor decks and fire pit made it perfect for our family to enjoy our time there. It was our grandbaby’s first time to fish and he caught several perch and even a catfish right off the dock. Gareth was quick to answer any questions we had and we highly recommend this particular rental.

Great Location

We were in town for a cheer competition at Moody Gardens. This place was perfect, located across the street from Moody Gardens we were able to get back and forth with no issues. We enjoyed our time at the house and the kids were able to some fun outside. The house is very spacious, and we plan to be back next year.

Nice accommodations for spectacular outdoor entertaining

The host was very responsive in communication and we had no trouble accessing the property. The kitchen was very functional and had a nice area to eat and entertain adjoined. The master bedroom has a wonderful view of the deck and water on the back side of the house. The master bedroom also had a really nice bathroom. Overall our stay was nice but there were a few issues with areas that were missed in the cleaning prior to our arrival.
