The host company was extremely responsive especially when I needed them by phone; They were accessible and empathetic and very kind. Additionally the houses' amenities were as described and great to have on our weekend stay. We didn't go to the beach as we were there for some girl time, but loved to have had access to a beautiful pool. Each bedroom was gorgeous and comfortable. The house is truly an oasis right outside the city.

Big space with problems

The space is as big as advertised with a decent pool. Floors are pretty uneven but I would assume the wood has seen lots of moisture over the years. The property manager was pretty responseful to most problems except one that would probably freak most people out. I had to kill several roaches throughout the stay so there is a pest problem. I believe there is a rodent problem too. After waking up to cook breakfast on day 4/5 days we discovered 3 brand new bags of bread which had been sealed had been chewed through with small holes so we had to throw all of them away and buy new bread to cook with. We kept the place clean. Cleaning all dishes by hand and sweeping up every day. Which was another huge inconvenience which was not taken care of. We had a group of 18 people and the dishwasher was broken. They sent someone to fix it but the part needed never made it there. I asked for something in return for both of those huge inconveniences and there was nothing in response.

The place was nice inside and outside. No smells in the house and no plug-in to mask odor. The neighborhood was quiet. The AC worked great and the kitchen equipped okay. The decor nice and no complaints about the beds to me. There are as ample room for the family. Easily can fit the max. The pool and game room a plus. More towels could have been provided. Only one towel a person provided. More blankets could be provided. Only the sheet and quilt on the beds provided. The floor inside was dirty. After getting our 9 month old out of her walker, her footies were very dirty. The floors are uneven with one area very soft. The mop left behind was so dirty and brown we didn’t touch it. Upstairs you could see mold in the shower and the hard water buildup. The sectional could use a deep cleaning or replacing. The vents on the ceiling were very dirty. The lawn people came before checkout. The BBQ pit dirty. Overall the place was fun for us. For the price and amenities in the house I’m not sure if I would stay again.

Senior Class trip

The house was exactly as advertised. Plenty of room for our party of 19. The only thing that was bothersome, was the house echoed and was kinda noisy with a bunch of teenagers. But it was nice and clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Overnight Stay

We had a short stay in the house prior to our cruise. Overall, we were pleased. The house was clean, we had plenty of towels and it worked for our group. The only negative is that it's an old house and Galveston was going through a cold spell which made it difficult for the furnace to keep up.

Pre-cruise visit

The home is very large and can comfortably sleep 22. There were many nice upgrades which made the home feel high-end. The floor in the living room needs some repair but everything else was in good condition. We would definitely stay here again.

Not what it seems

Me and 15 of my family and feiwnds stayed before a cruise and as the night went on the stay got worse. Its beautiful and spacious, but eits an older home with weak floors. Holes in the floor were covered with rugs. We noticed after dinner roaches come out of nowhere. We cleaned the kirchen swept and wiped down the counters. My fiance woke up in the middle of rhe night and found rat droppings on the counter after we cleaned up after our meal. I shared this with thr owner and all i got ead an email thst said they would look into it.

Perfection!

The house is in a great location, walkable every where! Huge rooms, great kitchen and outdoor area. Ten of us had a great stay! Fun game room and pool for all to enjoy! Great host!

Place was very roomy and accomated everyone in our group perfect. We had extra visitors like roaches and a huge RAT (not a mouse). Not too mention while taking a shower damn hot water would cut off and had too finish with cold water in all the showers. Floors were uneven and broken, someone easly could break an ankle.

Beautiful house but not clean

The house looked beautiful however the floors had not been vacuumed and the bedding had stains on it. The ceiling fans in the 2 bedrooms had not been cleaned in a very long time so couldn’t be used. When we sent pictures there was no action on the part of the management company. Seeing as the house is no longer on VRBO our guess is that they just don’t care anymore
