Stay

Water pipe leaking and entry code did not woke to open house. I reported this and spoke with listing agent 3 times with no result. Cannot access upstairs from downstairs area without going outside. Neighbors next door complained immediately as soon as we arrived about kids being loud. It was ridiculous.

Disappointing

There were ups and downs to our trip here. I'm not a person that typically leaves reviews on anything at all, but others should be aware.I lost the check in info and was advised to reach out to the host who didn't respond until the day after our arrival date. While waiting, I reached out to the service dept who helped me. When we arrived, I tried the code on the downstairs unit and discovered the door was already unlocked. When we went upstairs, the code didn't work. Again, I had to call customer service who informed me that I had to unlock a lock box with a separate code that contained one key for the door and one for the lock on the bicycles. When we tried the keys downstairs, neither worked.My husband used the guest bathroom upstairs and had to clean fecal matter from the seat although it was sealed, stating "sanitized."We kicked our shoes off while settling in and soon discovered our feet were BLACK from the filthy floors. We also discovered a large spot of a sticky substance under the table so we had to mop. There were dead mosquito hawks smashed on the walls downstairs.When we wanted to take a ride on the bikes, we discovered neither key worked for the bike locks. The paddleboat was stuck, requiring three men to maneuver it loose. We had to oil it, but it still never worked properly. Chess pawns were fully of dirty water. Nice idea that didn't work out due to weather.All other games were fun. We did have a nice time, but would not go back. Not worth the money.

Electrical malfunctions, inflexible mgmt, hostile neighbors

The house is nice but there were a lot of little issues. When we got there the electricity was out to half of the upstairs, which included the wifi. We couldn't access the breaker box and had to get someone out to flip it the next day. That and other breakers kept tripping whenever we tried to use an appliance. We could only make coffee downstairs. The neighbors are clearly unhappy with the STR and there were signs facing the house in every direction that said things like "WE CALL THE POLICE" and "QUIET -- WE WORK." I'm sure with all the game stuff it brings in a lot of partiers. The neighbors were perfectly nice once we'd been there a few days and talked to them. The location is in the armpit of the canal so the water was too gross to get in. There's a pump under the house that I guess helps but the neighbors said it also scares away the fish. We weren't able to catch anything there.

Jamaican Waves

This was a lovely place to stay. There was plenty of room for the 6 adults and 5 children and 1 dog from our bunch! The rooms were lovely. We had two kitchens and plenty of outdoor cooking options (grills, etc.). On the premises were kayaks and a paddleboat for us to use. We had a great Father's Day weekend!

Family Fun

Lots to do the beach is super close we were not able to figure out how to work the game consoles and the pac man game didn’t work When I called no one could tell me how to get the game console to work my son wasn’t very happy with that. Overall had a great time

Nice place, terrible neighbors!

The house was perfect! We had 13 fit comfortably with lots of couch space and extra beds available. The hot tub did not work and the neighbors are local residents and will call the cops for any disruption or cars in the street! The house itself was perfect and we enjoyed our weekend!

Spacious home but could use more cleaning

Home was great aside from finding "DNA" covered sheets in one of the rooms. Plenty of things to do and the layout is great for multiple families.

Absolutely wonderful!

This house and location was absolutely amazing! The house perfectly accommodated a kid-free, long weekend getaway with my husband and a few other couples. It was so beautiful and relaxing to sit out on the deck being right on the canal, we didn’t even want to leave the house! The house is also set up to be kid friendly, we would love to book another trip to bring the kiddos back! Five stars all the way around, absolutely recommend this house!

Nice house, poor management

We rented this house during the bike rally Nov 1-4, 2023. Pros: clean, easy check in, games and fishing/kayaking, location. Cons: Had to combine stuff from both kitchens to cook meals for the larger group. The hot tub is small! 4 person max, more comfortable with 2 or maybe 3. For a house that holds so many people that was a big bummer. But the bigger issue was it was broken! The first night it started off warmish (101 degrees) but after less than an hour in it had dropped several degrees and the screen just said EC (error code). I messaged the hosts to report both this AND a broken toilet upstairs that wouldn't fill after flushing due to a sticky valve. They finally sent someone out the following evening pretty late (fri) who said he "fixed" the hot tub. No attempt to fix the toilet we just had to manually pull the valve up in the tank every time we used it. Tried to use the hot tub a few hours later and it was the same. Messaged the repair guy back and he said to just unplug it and plug it back in. Well obviously that didn't work, just like it didn't work when he did it. Messaged management again and they said they would get back to me, which they never did. Messaged them at the time of checkout to request a partial refund as the hot tub was the main reason we selected this house and was told someone woukd get back to me. Messaged them again over 2 WEEKS later - again told someone would get back to me. Here we are a month post checkout with no response and no refund 😕

Fun home for families!

This house was perfect for a large group with mixed ages. Everyone had a great time. There was so much to do at the house, so it was perfect for downtime. The location directly on the canal was nice & the proximity to the beach was east to get to. Everything that we could think to need was provided. Unfortunately our biggest complaint was that the downstairs A/C did not work at all. It got hotter each day & made it very uncomfortable to even be in. Having to walk up & down to cook due to the heat in the downstairs kitchen even while grilling was a pain. There seemed to be a small ant issue in one of the downstairs bedrooms. (The one with the arcade games.) Overall this house was everything it claimed to be, even better than the pictures. We stay in a lot of rental properties & this was our favorite!
