We spent Christmas there with family. The house was very nice as pictured. It accommodated everyone very well. The beach access is right there which made walking on the beach a breeze. Most restaurants and stores are about 20 mins down the strip. The house is more secluded just others beach houses around. The house could have used more cleaning supplies and rugs. Additionally you will need to bring your own beach things if you don’t want to rent from the house. We were able to get groceries via insta cart but I don’t think many food places deliver out there. Communicating with the house was very simple check in and check out was also not an issue. Overall it was a great Christmas experience

Me and my coworkers have a wonderful time in spite of the fog we still made the best of our stay. Very roomy, nice area and wonderful sounds of the ocean

Pros: Great location, close to nice beach, size of house, well-equipped kitchenCons: NOT CLEAN! I don't think the floors have been mopped in months, maybe years. Sticky and left our feet black. A lot of wood furniture was sticky. We had to wash any kitchen item (dishes, plates, pots, etc) before using. So much had food stuck on them and were greasy. There was so much dust and grime on everything. The intake for the HVAC was covered in dust.Only 2 showers - while 3 bathrooms, only 2 showers. One bathroom has only a tub. The photo in the property details was deceiving as it had a shower curtain around the tub so you couldn't tell it was a tub only. 10 of us trying to use the one shower upstairs was difficult. The bedroom at end of top floor was like a cave. The storm shutter was closed, the switch to open it didn't work. When I messaged the host about this their response was sorry, it is broken. All the black shutters in the hallway on top floor were also shut leaving almost no natural light in that area.

When we arrived it was all dirty and a terrible wet smell, the refrigerator does not cool and the dishwasher does not work, when the cleaning people arrived I told them to change the blankets and they told me that they could not do it that they only change sheets and that the blankets are washed every 2 or 3stays. the house is to old and is really sticky everywhere.

Suggest bringing a wagon to get gear to the beach as the entrance is very near the house, but a little far if you are carrying a cooler, tent and chairs.

The house was beautiful and very clean! LOVED LOVED LOVED it! The view is great from the decks and the bedrooms have doors that open to the porch and you can still hear the waves while dozing in the bed. The beach trail is close and it was wonderful to walk along the beach. We do plan to come back with the family and maybe make it our getaway :)

The best thing about this property is the spectacular view. We enjoyed our stay at the beach house. We loved the view and the short walk to beach. The cabin could use a lil TLC the windows were very dirty and you could not see the beautiful view through the windows. The light fixtures were also very dirty but everything else was pretty clean. I do have to say the beds are very firm throughout the cabin so if you’re use to a plush bed be prepared. Everything is well stocked except there was only 1 kitchen towel? I guess someone must have took them? Overall it was a good experience.

Lovely home! Easy check-in. All amenities in place. Pictures of bedrooms were mostly representative of rooms. Easy walk to beach. The beach felt private. Best part was the comfort of the mattresses- felt very high end.

Amazing location

The communication with the property manager was so fast and I really appreciated that. We had a large group, so while there was not enough dining area indoors to all eat together, the sleeping accommodations worked out well. The kitchen dishes and silverware was well stocked and we were able to comfortably cook and the best part was the proximity to the beach.

The cleaners were at the house even after we were suppose to be able to check in. The house was dirty and the kitchen items had to be cleaned before use.

2025 Galveston Stay

This house was nice and we enjoyed ourselves. The property management responded instantly when we requested some extra pans and batteries for the remote controls. None of the closets had hangers, and two of the bedrooms upstairs did not have closets or chest of drawers so several family members had to live out of their suitcases. In my opinion the house could use a little TLC. Overall, it was a nice stay and we enjoyed ourselves.

Prom Weekend

The only negative things I can say is that the porch swing shown in pictures is missing, there are only two showers instead of three (one bathroom is a tub only and the pictures are misleading) and if you want a group picture of your guests on the large deck from outside the house, there are boards missing which makes the house look uncared for. OTHER THAN THAT everything about this place was fantastic! The view was AMAZING, it was steps from the beach, the fire pit was so great, and it was super clean.

Galveston Beach House

We stayed with our family of 11 for several days during Easter. The beach house was clean, had ample sleeping arrangements and plenty of room to relax comfortably. We took advantage of the beautiful beach views from the deck and the two porches. We took advantage of the easy access to the beach during our entire stay. The air conditioning worked well and additional fans were provided if needed. All rooms had ceiling fans. As previously mentioned by another review, I would bring foil, plastic wrap, and additional paper towels for the kitchen. The only reason I gave 4 stars on the cleanliness, is the interior of the microwave needs attention, it works, but appears someone may have put something that had metal in it at some point.We would definitely stay again, and will recommend the house to other family and friends!

Spring Break 2025

The home is beautiful, could use a few repairs and could use a new outside grill, but overall, we had a wonderful time. The view was awesome! Quite neighborhood. We had family from Iowa and their children had never been to a beach before, so they had a blast looking for seashells and playing on the beach! Beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay there again!

Great but with a couple problems

We were in Galveston for Mardi Gras. The property is great, walk straight to the beach, nice views from the house. Pretty far down the island but quiet.The house itself is beautiful, but with a few problems. There are three bathrooms, but only 2 showers. One bathroom has only a tub. The downstairs master bath can be easily accessed from the main floor so guests don't have to go upstairs all the time.Be sure to ask for their "digital guidebook" BEFORE you leave home to see what they do/don't provide. Bring your own extra paper towels, foil, etc). The fridge does not make ice. Beyond that, there was only one small skillet but lots of bakeware and serveware. It was well stocked with dishes and glassware.Our biggest problem was that one of the outside storm shutters was closed and we couldn't find a switch to open it. This blocked the windows and outside door to one of the rooms. We asked several times how to raise the storm shutter but never got an answer. This would have been extremely dangerous had there been a fire.We brought our own wood and had a lovely time at the firepit. The outside table was great for meals. Lots of seating inside for lounging. Beds were very comfortable. We were a group of 5 couples but it would also be great for groups of families.We would probably stay here again knowing ahead of time what we know now. The management company was always quick to respond but not necessarily with a satisfactory answer.
