Short but sweet getaway

The place was really close to the beach. Access to the apartment was nice. Some of the items were dated. We had a ceiling fan that didn't work but the owners had box fans, so that helped a lot. Living room was missing curtains so it was hard to see the TV. The arrangement of the room was great for our crew. Wish the kitchen and bathrooms had more towels.

Great Location Wonderful View

Emerald by the Sea is very convenient to everything we wanted to do. In addition it was an easy drive to Moody Gardens. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially William. Parking was free and convenient. View from our 8th floor balcony was wonderful.

Family Vacation

The property was in a good location and the amenities were great. The condo itself needs some attention, particularly the door to the balcony and the railing. I was with my young children and the railing was broken in places which made us nervous. The door was extremely hard to close. The condo needed more towels. There were no wash clothes or face towels. I would definitely stay there again though.

Great Galveston Getaway

Roomy and comfortable condo with great views in a quiet, relaxing setting. Minutes away from beaches, the Strand, restaurants and shops. We had an enjoyable visit and would recommend to friends.

Weekend Stay in Galveston

This condo is at the Emerald by the Sea condominium on the Far East end of the island on Sea Wall. Several restaurants, fast food nearby, and Walgreens next door. Beach is directly across the street. Amenities were great. The heated pool, giant hot tub, outdoor grills, and the game room was all fun. This room has a wrap around deck with a combo view of the gulf to the east and south and of the city to the north and west. The condo was spacious, with plenty of bed rooms and bathrooms. Black out shades on the windows would be preferred but understand they aren’t always an option. Wrist bands were required when in the commons area and pool. If they didn’t recognize you and couldn’t see your wristband the front desk attendant would ask about it. No big deal. Nick and Patty were very nice and great help with getting checked in and helping get the grill going for us on a windy and rainy night. Although we may choose a house next time, this will definitely be our spot if we want to rent a condo, we would stay here again!

Wonderful condo, they thought of everything!

Comfortable, clean and well-stocked. Everyone in our family enjoyed it and the sunrise views are gorgeous. We stayed for Thanksgiving and the host even left an aluminum roasting pan for us. Wonderful accommodation.

Close to Stewart Beach

We had a great time. The view was fabulous and we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Walking distance to beach and restaurants. Condo was well appointed with appliances, beach chairs and towels, even a high chair and portable crib if you have a little one. The amenities floor and pool was also great. Highly recommend, will stay again.

We enjoyed our last minute stay here. The condo was perfect for our family and a great location. Our only small frustration was that the gym was closed to guests (only available to residents) during our stay.

Before school beach break

The condo was listed as sleeping 8, but it only has beds for 6. The building is nice, but not renter friendly. We had limited access to amenities, and were required to wear paper wristbands at all times. It's across the street from Stewart Beach, which was convenient, however, it was a 20 minute walk. The balcony was fabulous.

Nice stay

The property is nice with 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, and small living space. The wrap around porch overlooks the beach on one side and industrial on the other side. Bring your own toiletries (the ones you’re given are small), coffee pods, and laundry detergent. The kids loved the WiFi and the cable tv. The pool was amazing! It’s heated and the hot tub is huge.

Nice condo

The condo was very nice and very well stocked. We had more than enough towels and there were even beach towels for our use. The only complaints are the WiFi password was incorrect and no one ever contacted us to correct it, and the pool was out of service for renovations. The gym, however; was very well equipped. The price was very reasonable for a 3 bedroom condo.

Emerald Resort is a beautiful property.

The condo we rented there was very nice. It was very clean and very nicely decorated. The property manager, Vacasa, was very efficient, sending me emails ahead of time and giving me all the information we needed to check in, stay and check out easily. the sixth floor lobby and pool and common area were amazing - like a 5 star hotel. The WI-FI in our condo didn't always work, but that was the only complaint. Every thing else was great. We will surely come back to this same condo.

Nice get away

Wonderful view of the ocean from condo. Had everything we needed. No laundry soup available so did not start or do any while there. Air conditioning units being replaced while there so no air for last three days. Really hot for the last day in the condo. Over 80. Railings on balcony also made banging noise all night due to wind. A few nights it was was annoying. They are replacing them In a month so that will alleviate that problem. I would recommend this place, very nice upscale, pools, hot tub, game room and movie room and lobby areas. They will be working on pool decks too, so make sure you verify when being done and if pools will be available. We would go back again.

Great location and great views

The property was very nice and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the movie room, game room, and the pool on the 6th floor. We had problems with the coffee maker and found out the place did not have towels for the pool but after calling Vacasa this was quickly remedied. We had a very nice time.

Great location, nice unit, but better cleaning prior to check-in would have gone a long way to improve initial impression dirty kitchen floor, and black gunk on shower head). All said and done I am very glad to have had the oppprtunity to stay there and would do it again.

Unit was not clean/

I love the building and the amenities however the unit was clean. The bedding in the master was dirty, the bedding had urine stains. The carpet in the unit was old and show be taking out the unit as it had dog hair and smelled of dog. I had to was the bedding before I was able to go to bed and the management didn't get to me until the next day. They never ask me is it anything the could do to make it better. I'm more disappointed with management not the unit. It just need a complete deep cleaning.

Loved the room and building but the rental company was no help

The condo itself was perfect, you can tell the owners take great pride in it. The staff at The Emerald was great and super nice as well as the residents. When we got there, we noticed a bar on the railing on the patio was off. The previous renters had placed a chair in front of it. Having a 5 yr old, this was extremely scary!! I warned her and told her she is not allowed to go out on the patio by herself, but she is also one to wake up before everyone and knows how to open the back door. I emailed the manager and never heard back from him. The staff looked at it but said they couldn't fix it, they needed to have the owners have it welded. We kept it blocked off and they came and put a screw in it to help it stay in place. They tried. I forgot to mention, with thy bar off, my 5 year old could easily fit through the whole which is why I was upset. Also, the wifi only worked once while there. I tried to get my phone, my daughter's phone and my other daughters iPad hooked up and it never would connect. It worked the one morning after we arrived there yet not that night we arrived or any time after. I know how to work wifi and did every thing I knew to get connected. My iPhone 7 said I was putting in the incorrect password but I knew I wasn't. Again, I tried time and time again on different occasions and am not illiterate when it comes to this type of technical difficulties. I called the manager of Vacasa rentals, Dominic, and he seemed a little put out having to deal with me cause he was out with people. He had no solutions to offer me at all and said that maybe it was the building and I should contact emerald. I talked with the staff there and they said there was not any connection issues that they were aware of and had not had any complaints of no wifi. Wifi never got fixed, went 4 days without it. Not proud to say this but my 5 yr old needs her iPad to go to sleep when in a different environment. The fact that none of us could run on wifi has caused us to already use 75% of our data which does not renew for another 3 weeks and 2 days. So I would recommend the condo itself, but kit vacasa as the rental company. Saw a couple of German roaches in the kitchen area but I'm sure thy could be the case being part of a condominium complex.
