I booked this property through VRBO, but all communication was handled through Vacasa. The VRBO app never showed important details like the address, and I had to download the Vacasa app in order to check in and access basic information.Several amenities were closed due to the off-season, which was not disclosed in the listing. I also attempted to extend our stay by one day, but my request was never acknowledged or answered.There is a camera positioned outside the spare bedroom window, which felt uncomfortable and should be clearly disclosed. Additionally, the property is not beachfront as implied—there are two buildings in front of it and it is a short walk to the beach. During our stay, the property manager left a large note on our car for backing into the parking space, despite there being no signage and us being the only occupants in the building.While the unit itself was nice, the lack of communication and customer service both before and during our stay significantly impacted the experience and made it not worth the price.

Great place! Great views! Very comfortable and clean. Only critique is that this is a top floor unit and the elevator broke shortly after our arrival, so it was a lot of heavy lifting and the departure took much longer than it should have. I talked to an owner of another unit and he said it was a brand new elevator and only two weeks old, so at least they’re investing in the property. Just bad timing. I’ve heard that a lot of the elevators around Pointe West are finicky so if you have anyone in your party with mobility challenges, just know this is on the 4th floor if the elevator goes out.

Condo was very clean and nice. The view was also a plus! Only downfall was the elevator was not working due to maintenance upgrades. Definitely got a lot of exercise that weekend!

The condo was nice. Morning coffee on the balcony was great with the ocean view. The elevator was broken, so it was 63 steps up and down several times a day to the condo a heads up before the trip and an offer of another condo would’ve been nice. Also, the underground parking was closed off due to construction. Again, a heads up would’ve been nice. I communicated with an online host when we arrived about this problem. The host said he would get back with me on Tuesday to see if another condo was available. I never heard from the host again.

Comfortable and clean condo

This condo is comfortable and clean. I wish I’d noticed it’s not closest to the beach, but that’s my fault. The beach was covered in seaweed. I know seaweed protects from erosion but it would be really nice for all of it could be piled at the dunes.

Spacious and comfortable condo! Decorated perfectly. Only complaints, toilet in the master bath runs all the time and is fairly loud when you're trying to sleep! Amenities require a wristband which is an additional 25 per person - this was a surprise an unexpected expense

Perfect Stay at Pointe West

We stay at Pointe West frequently and this condo is definitely at the top of our list. It was clean, well appointed, and the beach view is amazing. Highly recommend and can’t wait to stay here again.

Nothing beats the beach!

My wife and I (plus Daisy, our Golden Retriever) had an awesome 5 days at Pointe West. The condo was clean and very secluded which is exactly what we were looking for. The beds were comfortable. We were the only ones in that condo building for 5 weekdays in early November. Peace and Tranquility. :) This condo building sits at the far end of Pointe West beachside condos and is therefore much quieter than the buildings closer to the pool. Very few guests in early November but the weather was perfect. 80 highs and sunny. The dog absolutely loved the beach. We were often the only people on the beach as far as the eye could see. The only drawback was a fire alarm went off which caused a fire truck to come and clear the building, but that was hardly the condo's fault. We will be back. Thank you. Eric, Diane and Daisy

A most generous home

Beautiful home and neighborhood. The elevator was quite a convenience. we were touched by the owners generosity providing many treats and extras to enjoy our stay. we only wished we could have stayed longer. Miriam and family.

Check in

Check in was miserable. Multipile codes did not work over 45 min of trying. Finally got combination to key . Vacasa was not very responsive & unprofessional. Never have this problem w SandnSea & invariably they will allow check in as soon as unit is ready. Pretty sure 302 was ready by 3 & we got in at 5.

Condo was well appointed across the bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms, with comfortable beds! Included parking, and the property has a fun common area with pool (note: $100 extra for wristbands).

Would rent again

The condo was as described. The location is nice bc it’s away from the tourism of Galveston, in fact, this particular condo is on the end of the property with very little movement. :)) The pier to the beach was fairly close. We never saw the pool, I’m sure it is centrally located on the property (that’s when a golf cart would come in handy). A friendly suggestion for the home would be to stock a few plastic cups/bowls/etc for children to use. And there are a few repairs I want to mention bc I’m not sure if there is anyone to let the owners know that these items need attention- 1: the water faucet in the kitchen is very loose 2: the towel rack in the small bathroom is down 3: there is a drawer pull on the chest in BR #2 that needs to be reattached. Please don’t let the above mentioned deter you from renting this condo. It is nice! I would definitely rent it again :))
