Beautiful Home

We loved this home on the bay! Such a great layout and well maintained home. We’ve stayed in this area for many years and this as hands-down the best house we’ve stayed in!! The AC kept us nice and cool, elevator was so nice to get things unloaded and loaded, every room with its own full bathroom, and nice open kitchen/dining/living space!! We will be back!

Will book this location again!

This location was perfect for the whole family. It had bay access for my dad to fish and catch crabs. It had easy access to the Sunset pool where we could meet friends. Lovely property, great amenities.

Amazing location!!

Cute property in a family friendly area. Especially thankful for the elevator and close access to bay fishing, pool, and beach!! Had everything we needed in the house for cooking meals, having fun and enjoying downtime!

Beautiful house and views

We have rented many homes, and this was one of the very best. It was beautiful, well-appointed, comfortable and extremely clean. It was a pleasure to stay here. The views of the water, sunsets, birds, changed everyday and added to the beauty of the home.

The perfect getaway! The views are exceptional.

The entire stay was exceptional. The neighbors are lovely, and the sunsets and sunrises over the water are to die for. The kitchen is chef quality. The elevator made all of the difference. Kirsten the property manager is amazing, and so helpful. Ten out of ten.

Great Weekend

The house was located on a great lot on the bay. Easy access to wade fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaks. Rooms were great with good sleeping accommodations. Elevator was a nice perk. Will definitely be returning.

Short family getaway.

Property was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Minimal issues were upper level air conditioner was not working, propane for grill was almost empty and extra tank was empty. Both issues were fixed and management was very responsive. Shower control in one bathroom was damaged but worked, and television in one bedroom had to be unplugged and reset several times. No big deal there. Overall very nice house and location, we had a great time.

Nice Time Great Bay View

This house has an amazing view from the main living area. We loved it. The house had just about everything we need in the kitchen. The elevator worked wonderfully although it is just big enough for one wheelchair person to use. No second passenger as it is small. It was nice to have though for all the groceries and luggage. We like this place a lot. One suggestion no blinds on main living area means setting sun shines in an hour or two. Pretty though sparkling off of the bay. Thank you for a wonderful vacation. No bugs! No problems! Just a good time. One more thing, it was nice to have the vacant and grassed lot next to the house. We used the lot to play baseball, and pickle and the kids could run about as much as they wanted.

Comfortable family gathering

Blue Claws is a very comfortable house. We had a total of 12 people in our group which gave the 4 couples each their own bedrooms and en-suite baths and the 4 younger kids their own bedroom and en-suite bathroom. There were plenty of pots, pan, and cooking utensils available making meal preparations easy. The elevator was an absolute life saver. The only issues we encountered was the toilet in the top floor bedroom squealed very loud so at night we just turned off the water to the toilet. Also in that same bathroom the lightbulb flickered so we just didn’t turn on the light. Now the only improvement I could suggest would be to have some sort of window coverings over the top floor windows to block that beautiful sunset every evening. Visibility is difficult in there and the room heats up quite a bit while that sun sets every evening. Overall we had a fantastic stay in a beautiful home that fit our multi family group comfortably. Pointe West never disappoints.

Beautiful Home, Management Needs Work

Overall the home was very nice. The layout was perfect and the elevator was a huge plus being that the kitchen is on the third floor. We also enjoyed the location of this home as it felt pretty private. There were some issues with cleanliness. There was dog hair on the floors and that was a given due to the dog toy that was left under the couch. Also, there were several dead bugs within the closets that were there for sometime. Management was very timely, however, super unhelpful and you will speak to someone different every time. If you are a few minutes early, do not expect to check in until 4. This was okay as the listing stated 4pm but unlike many other vrbos we stayed in the area, they are strict on the 4pm. We have been coming to Pointe West for years now and bring ours and have never had a problem parking the trailer. Managment said there is no trailer parking allowed. Then, a different person responded “you must follow all rules of the listing.” No where in the listing is no golf cart trailer parking. This was a big stressor leading up to our trip as we had two families bringing a trailer. So without being able to bring our carts renting two would have been around 1,000. As a last ditch effort I call the clubhouse and they said yes, no problem we have 3 over flow parking lots within our community. Hallelujah! This was something the management could’ve easily told us and saved us A LOT of stress.

60th birthday Celebration

This was the most beautiful house we have ever stayed in. There was plenty of room for my family ot 10. Everything in the entire house was high quality all the way down to the hand soap! Book this house immediately don't even think about it. Would definitely stay again !

Gorgeous House on the Bay

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Its beautiful and spacious enough for large families. Great location on the bay for fishing and a short drive to Point West Beach Club to access pool and beach. The house doesn't provide beach or bay equipment (chairs, umbrellas, kayak, etc.) So encourage you to bring your own. It was only a short 30min drive to the Strand and less than 10min to store and local restaurant. Overall, we highly recommend and would definitely book here again.

Wonderful stay!

This house is the nicest rental we’ve stayed in at Pointe West, and they are all wonderful! The kitchen has amazing appliances (icemaker! Huge fridge!), great pots, pans, and utensils to cook for a crowd, and a spacious pantry. The view of of the bay is delightful and fun to watch the fishermen. You can walk to the small pool, and there is plenty of parking. Bedrooms were perfect for our group. There are a lot of stairs as others mentioned, but there is an elevator which made getting groceries, beach stuff, coolers, and suitcases in and out of the house a breeze. The only small things we might make would be to add blinds to the living room windows, and to double check with the cleaning service (trash left in the kitchen made for a smelly arrival, and beds in the bunk room were not made). Easy fixes! A perfect multi-generational family stay!

Paradise at the Pointe

This house is perfect for multi family gatherings with small children. We loved having the lazy river pool within walking distance for all our little ones. The house was just beautiful and had so many coverd porches to enjoy. Thanks for making this Mother's Day one for the record books.

Perfect family getaway

Our group of 13 fit comfortably in this house and we loved it! The porch was so so relaxing on the bayside, and the beach was a quick golf cart ride away!

Great Family Beach/Bay vacation

Therre was 11 of us covering 3 generation with age 1 to 74. We had a wonderful time and the place was just what we needed for our size crowd. It was cleanly, spacious and had every kitchen appliance and gadget we could plossibly need or use. The only lacking were a high chair, beach towels and a child gate at the top of the main floor(third). I mention the high chair and baby gate because it seemed like it was baby-friendly with a pack-and-play. This is not a game changer only a suggestion. I still give the house a 9 our of 10. Thank you.

Gorgeous Views & Gorgeous Home

Our family of seven stayed at the Blue Claw for a week and it was absolutely wonderful. The home itself is exactly as pictured and is beautifully decorated it makes you feel warm and welcomed right when you walk in. I read reviews before I booked and it mentioned how many stairs you would be climbing to get up to the top floor. I didn’t mind it at all (except for when we were carrying up our groceries) as there’s about four sets of stairs from your car to the kitchen/living floor. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact there is a mini master bedroom on the first floor along with two regular bedrooms and another bedroom with a set of bunkbeds. The first floor alone can quite comfortably sleep six adults and eight kids if it had two and up on the main floor of the house was the master bedroom along with the kitchen and common area which was nice to give you some separation from your kids or guest if you needed it. Every bedroom had its own bathroom and shower which was amazing and the views from the front and the back of the home or breathtaking. The sunsets alone we’re worth a visit! I highly recommend staying at this place for your next trip to Galveston.
