Another great trip to the Surf Shack! We thoroughly enjoyed our time and took advantage of the great weather and relaxed atmosphere. The house is very well kept and the fish in the canal kept the kids busy! Great hosts and communication. We look forward to staying again in the near future!

Amenities abound

Reel Chill is right! This place has something for everyone. You can fish, kayak, paddle board, play arcade or board games, or just relax with a drink or coffee in a lounge chair on one of the balconies or on the swing or one of the hammocks. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and the whole place is well decorated with a nostalgic surf and skate theme. My family was so comfortable there.

What a great surprise this property was! Charming property with all we needed and more for our family’s long weekend stay. The beds were comfortable and the house was spotless. Loved the outside space for relaxing (the hammocks were perfect) and the boat lift, which was so convenient for our fishing trips. My college son loved the paddle board for evening rides in the canal a well. Wonderful covered deck where we relaxed and I read books a well. We will definitely be back :)

I was very impressed on how fast the Host got back with me with some questions I had before renting. We loved everything about the house there was so many added touches that I couldn't even list them all the location was perfect the house was clean and full of different activities. We will definitely stay again. We have rented a lot of houses in that area for many many years now and so far that was our favorite

Perfect Sea Isle Getaway

This place was a great place to stay for our family if 4 and pup. The home itself is full of character and has everything you’d need or want from a fully stocked kitchen, very comfortable outdoor patio furniture on the top deck and bottom floor alike (because let’s be real you come to the beach to hang out outside), a tv on the top deck which was great for the kids when they were pooped and ready to settle for the day and great linens throughout. The home is clearly very well maintained and was very clean and as an added bonus could bring our pup for the weekend. Communication with Natasha was extremely easy and will absolutely be staying again in the future.

Awesome canal house!

10 out of 10 on all aspects. Owners/hosts were super helpful and flexible, house was perfect size and set up for my family’s style, and it had everything we needed and more. I’d book again 100%. We spent most of our time under the palapa on the upper deck and on the boat slip fishing, and in the canal paddle boarding. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, the bathrooms clean and well supplied, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking 3 meals per day…including a nice little Weber charcoal grill outside. Having called a canal house in Galveston home for most of my adult life (Jamaica Beach), I have pretty high expectations every time I come back, but this house nailed it. Honestly, I’d buy this house in a heartbeat if they would sell it to me.

Coziest home away from home!

We will definitely be booking this place again. The house was clean, cozy, and inviting. The hosts are very generous and the house is stocked with anything you could need as well as many things to do for fun like kayaking, cornhole, and many board and card games. The fenced in yard allowed my dog to have just as much fun as the rest of us. The hosts respond promptly and are very helpful. Overall, perfect experience and we will be back!!

Great Place and Location!!

This is our second stay at the Surf Shack and it was another wonderful trip! Everything is as shown and there are lots of activities for adults and kids alike. We will definitely be coming back again sometime in the future!

Cozy, well equipped Gem!

My wife and I enjoyed staying at the cozy surf shack. It was very well appointed, with comfortable beds and all necessary amenities. The check-in process was easy, the hosts were responsive, and we really enjoyed this place.

Labor Day weekend stay

Another Great Trip!

This is our second summer renting this house and it was just as great as the first time. Feels like you are staying at your friend’s house because it is so well decorated and maintained. They stock just about anything you need for a stress free vacation. All you need are groceries! Hosts are extremely friendly and make sure you have a wonderful stay. Looking forward to returning again in the future!
