Yes the property was pet friendly.The kitchen was well equipped, could have used a second larger pot and skillet when cooking for large group. The water pressure was a little low but no real issue.Well located, we had a great time.

Great location. Walking distance to the beach. There was five of us that stayed in the house to go on a fishing trip the following day, but we got there kind of late so we’re not able to do much. The house has a decent size pool. Our boss liked the house a lot to look into renting it again for the family. There is a lot of room and a lot of bedrooms.

home near the seawall, Galveston

It was nicely remodeled, and had ample space to accommodate both the introverts and extroverts in the group. One thing to note is that there is a gap between the deck and above ground pool that a couple of our kids got their arms stuck in (and toys dropped down into the space). Beware. You'll also need to bring extra towels, b/c they only provide one towel per guest. The AC had trouble keeping up with the demands of the summer heat, so it often got up to 82 degrees in the house. We rolled with it, but if you have elderly people in your group, that could be an issue. Other than that, it was wonderful.

More Cons than Pros

Pros: -Near ocean-AC worked well-Manager responded quickly when sink had issue-Routine pool maintenance Cons:-Roaches in house-Poorly cleaned between guests (food crumbs in cabinets, floss in bathroom floor, garbage outside in grass)-Unable to utilize grassy area due to thorns -Pool deck felt unstable and had gaps between pool and deck where a child could get stuck or hurt-No steps to get out of Pool-No extra linens or throws -No bathroom amenities -No beach supplies in garage-Beds are very squeaky-No lights outside at night around pool-Dryer hardly worked-One bedroom door didn’t shut, latch broken-Huge shortage of towels for keeping such large groups-Washer was filled with toilet paper -No laundry soap provided-Water leaking thru kitchen light from upstairs shower-Plumbing is labeled “sensitive “ even though the rental is supposed to accommodate 20 people-No hooks or towel racks throughout entire homeOverall it served its purpose but I would not stay here again. I hope the host reviews the Con’s and can make some small changes that will positively impact future guests. Many of these were small inconveniences that just continued to add up

It’s a great location and has lots of room. For the most part it was fine. We were disappointed that the pool was green and unusable and one of the bathtubs had fleas (I think) in it.

Bathroom number not accurate

This house was in a neighborhood and was obviously a quick flip- All closets and some living areas were made into “bedrooms”. Where I come from, a bedroom has to have a closet to count as a bedroom. The house was not functional for our needs. The listing says 5 bathrooms. However there are actually only 4 bathrooms inside and an outside half bath for the pool. We chose the house bc it had the number of bathrooms we needed for our multi family group. One of the bathrooms was so tiny that you had to sit sideways on the toilet so your knees would not hit the wall. It was not functional. Out of 7 rooms with beds only one had a closet .There were no hooks or towel racks to hang towels by the sink or anywhere to hang clothes. We ended up leaving three days earlier than planned and owners would not refund money for inaccurate listing. Just said “sorry for the confusion” seems they are the ones confused. The listing was changed after we complained but now looks like it it is back to 5 bathrooms. That is incorrect. Several items in the house were not working and the large 10 person dining table had five chairs so we had to bring in outside patio chairs. There was also room for about 7-8 stools at the counter in the kitchen but zero stools. There were no extras like soap, shampoo/conditioner…Just not very wecoming. Would not recommend

Good for overnight before a cruise!

Plenty of beds for our group of 16 kids and adults. Appreciated a high chair and port a crib for baby. Beds and pillows ok but not super comfortable at all. Easy check-in although it does make me a bit nervous to leave for a 6-hr drive and still haven’t received lock box code. Not really sure why the need to wait till last minute. If you tell me I can’t check in till 4:00, I’m not going to check in till 4:00. A/C worked fine. I would suggest if staying longer that guests bring some kitchen essentials. Only one giant wok-like skillet and never could find a pot holder to remove a pan from oven. Brought my own baking dishes for French toast and was glad I did as I didn’t see any 9x13 baking pans. Not many small plastic cups for kiddos to use. But plenty of plates and flatware. All in all it was sufficient for the needs of our family for overnight stay before a Disney Cruise. Did appreciate there were plenty of towels for everyone to shower. Also they had trash bags and plenty paper towels and TP for an overnight stay as well. It wasn’t pool season so won’t comment on the pool. It was a portable vinyl pool sitting in a rectangular hole of a deck.

Short stay before a cruise

We had a group with an age range from 8 to 79. It was nice that there were rooms on first floor for those with limited mobility. The kids had their own space upstairs. It is close to Walmart. Uber XL cost about 20 to the port. There are restaurants close by. Messages that I sent through VRBO did not get a response.

Cruise Trip

Overall, the house was clean, plenty of room for multiple families. The pool is NOT as pictured, not even close. It barely had water in it when we arrived. The host was responsive but asked me to fill it with the hose. Not as if this was my only reason for booking this house, but the pool was something the kids were looking forward to and IT IS NOT what the picture looks like. It is old, very run down and wasn't full.

Perfect for large groups!

The variety of sleeping choices along with multiple baths were the draw for our large group of adults; 14 in all & we could’ve slept more… We booked so we could hang out & visit the night before our cruise out of Galveston! It was perfect for our needs & we’d stay here again. Upon drive-up, the neighborhood itself seemed well maintained & quiet & there was a long driveway for off-street parking for several cars. The main living room, dining & kitchen were open concept & large enough with enough seating that we spent the whole evening hanging & yacking. (There is a 2nd living area upstairs for the travel weary & quieter folks.) The beds overall were comfy, but I was told that some of the bed frames were creaky & noisy. Ours in the largest bedroom was perfect. The were only a few minor negatives but not enough to keep this from having 5 stars. Not all the rooms had ceiling fans & most of the old windows were jammed & wouldn’t open. The room where the master closet had been does not have any outlets for charging phones and we couldn’t turn on the outside lights by the driveway, so we unloaded the cars in the dark.
