Quick beach side vacation.

We had a fabulous last minute quick trip to Galveston with family and a few friends. The house completely stocked with everything one would need from kitchen appliances to sand castle gear. Located on the beach was a blessing. The house was beautiful with plenty of comfortable beds…one of the best I’ve ever slept on. Check in and check out was a breeze. The rental company checked in with us to see how things were going and responded immediately when I reached out to them. I highly recommend this beach house and look forward to renting again in the future!

Good beach stay for family friends

Our experience was very good and we all had a good time for the 3 day stay! House was very nice and clean with lots of room. We loved the design detail it offered and the kitchen was very well stocked. Loved how the balcony offered lots of room and shade. Ax throwing game was a bonus. We would have given a 5 star but there was a couple of issues with our stay and house. Boardwalk is very dated and short! There was a very loose board on the top step on the bottom part walking up that is a dangerous trip hazard. I was very surprised it was allowed to remain loose because it’s very obvious once you step on it. Also the boardwalk is very short allowing extra steps through tough soft hot sand. It would be worth extending it out and ramping it down for future guests. There was also an incident with our canopy’s at the beach! They were picked up over night by the city and discarded. There is nothing in the information book about leaving beach equipment over night and no signs posted, in our neighborhood, about that not being allowed. It wasn’t till we spoke with the city and found a small paper on side of fridge that explained it not being allowed! We even had looked prior on websites and found nothing about that being a violation. It cost us an extra 200 dollars and headache to replace them while we were there. While on our way to academy we stopped in another neighborhood to look for signs and there, in deed, were signs posting that it wasn’t allowed. Communication was lacking.

Great beach location, private beach area but property was run down, old and not kept up with, a bit dirty and not stocked up with basic needs like toliet paper and paper towels.

Butterfly Dunes was a fantastic home for our annual family beach time. The indoor stairs made move in and departure days so easy. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, utensils coffee mugs and yetis. The living area and two eating tables were great for our party of 12.The well stocked beach closet was another plus.We will return to Butterfly Dunes.

More waterbugs than paper products, but beautiful home

Beautiful home, unfortunately we arrived to multiple half dead water bugs and flies Start your vacay cleaning up one of your top 5 fears was no exactly the way we wanted to start our vacation. Let company know and they weren’t exactly sending someone over to clean again. Needless to say, we did a once over clean on property to get rid of the ick factor.

Great stay for our grown family of 7!

You couldn’t ask for a better location. Everything was comfortable and wonderful! I love that all 7 of us could sit at the tables inside and outside. There was also plenty of room to lounge around and watch a movie at night. The kitchen was super well stocked too as we like to cook about half of our meals when on vacay! The only negative was the upstairs master tv isn’t smart or Cobb wanted to anything so it is only able to mirror, but it wouldn’t work for us. However, the entire beautiful wall of windows in front of you there is the ocean so no loss there!

Mothers Day Weekend Retreat

Awesome location! Kitchen is well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay. We had guests of all ages and they had a great time. There’s a grocery store down the street which meant we didn’t have to visit a big box store in town.

Amazing house

The house is as beautiful as it looks in pictures! On the beach with fantastic views, it was such a great escape. The house was very well stocked, it was a tremendous experience.

Multi-Generational Vacation

We loved our stay at Butterfly Dunes! Communication was great, the property was beautiful with unbeatable views, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals there at the beach.

Wonderful weekend at Butterfly Dunes

This house was the perfect place for a reunion of friends, from California, Colorado, Austin and houston. We loved the amazing views from the house, the ease of walking to the beach on the private path. The house had everything we needed for meals and comfort. Great communication with the management company on any small issue we had. we could not have asked for anything more. I will be back!

Quick Family Beach Getaway

The home was everything as advertised. Very beautiful home, nicely decorated inside and out. Plenty of space for the 11 family members that were there over the Labor Day weekend getaway. They provided a lot more items then the normal VRBO has in the past… sheets, towels, k-cups, soaps, shampoos, etc. Really enjoyed the home during our stay. Will definitely be back.

Great locations and As Described

This was the perfect location for our rather large group. Pictures and descriptions doesn’t do it justice. It has everything you need. It mentions beach toys, there’s several boogie boards, a ton of sand toys and plenty of beach chairs.

Wonderful Beachfront Property

We had a great time at this VRBO. The house was clean, the location was prime, and everything was as advertised. One of the reasons we chose this house was the reviews about how many extras were included that might not be in every rental property. The kitchen was fully stocked, lots of movies to watch and games to play, and there were a few things that were convenient to have next to the beach. Glad we didn't have to go to Walmart and buy a bunch of stuff that we wouldn't take home with us. It was a great experience.

Fantastic Beach House

The home is beautifully decorated and feels like a home as soon as you walk in. The kitchen is furnished with every kitchen item (pots, pans, utensils, gadgets, etc) you need to cook all your meals include a decent selection of spices. You do have access to the owners beach closet for adult and children's beach chairs and a large collection of toys for the kids to play in the sand along with a couple of boogie boards and skimmer boards. The only critique is the thermostats are impossible to work. I have used a wide variety of smart thermostats, but these were impossible to adjust. Fortunately, the weather was not super hot for us, so we were comfortable. I would recommend specific instructions for adjusting the thermostat in the owners book because if there was a trick to getting the screen to show the temp adjustment, I was unable to figure it out. I would recommend this house to everyone and would not hesitate to rent again.

Just Perfect!

The property was amazing and my family loved it! It rained a great deal while there, but the house was so comfortable that we didn't mind. It was so well stocked that we didn't need anything, games, books, kitchen utensils, it is all there. Thank you to the owners for sharing their home with us. We will definitely rent again!

Perfect beach getaway

This house is amazing! Great location, kitchen is fully stocked with cooking tools and appliances, plenty of beds and bedrooms, the beach was great, close walk right out the private back patio. The kitchen and bedrooms were very clean and nice.

Family weekend Getaway

From the moment we saw the property listing and look through pictures, we knew it was going to be perfect for our family. The view is amazing! Property is very clean and love the interior decor. Couple of issues in top and bottom master bathroom and middle bathroom shower and bunk bed room door to balcony. Beautiful master bathroom but in tub the water would take forever to go down drain. Middle bathroom the shower doors were broken from rail. Bottom shower water would come out of door when you turn on shower head. Older model shower maybe. Kitchen is equipped with everything you possibly use. Spices are expired. We had taken a lot of our spices and other items! Definitely would love going back. Would love it more if check in was earlier instead of 4. First night we weren’t able to enjoy and see everything. But fell in love with beach house and property. One thing we didn’t like was that a group of people went and sat right across the beach access coming out of property. We had to sit away from our area. But other than that our stay was amazing! Can’t wait to go back and stay longer. ❤️Palafox Family
