Wonderful property in Galveston

Perfect place for a family vacation, quick drive or walk to the beach close to beach club pool with great food and the west end marina is only a mile away with great food and karaoke on Friday nights. We loved it!

This is a nice property and overall our stay was okay. That said, having stayed in many vacation rentals, we did notice a difference between professionally managed homes and those that feel more personally maintained. The mattresses were quite old and not very comfortable, there were not enough towels for our group, and basic supplies like trash bags and dishwasher soap were missing. With some attention to these details, this home could be much more comfortable for guests.

Beautiful new house for a relaxing stay

A really beautiful home on the far western side of Galveston Island. Perfect for a nice relaxing stay in the area, with wonderful views onto the tidal Marah. A car is a near must as most activities and conveniences are a 20 minute drive at least.

Exactly What We Needed

This home was beautiful and very spacious. There were only two televisions in the home. This made it possible for the children to get outside and play and do more things together. The space was perfect for our large group.!

Great House

beautiful home on quiet cul-de-sac. Kitchen has most of what you need (hopefully they will get a working can opener). We had our family Thanksgiving with 15 of us and had a great time. Two living areas and plenty of porches. Enjoyed watching the birds out kitchen window and back porch. Grandkids enjoyed riding their scooters when it wasn't raining as the street was very quiet. Beach is a short drive away. Enjoy this home as much as we did.

This place is AWESOME!

We had a wonderful visit. We are a group of 9 former college roommates who golf once per year in various locales. This was our best accommodations ever! Granted, it was much larger than necessary, but each of us had our own large bed. Five of us had gigantic rooms with a king sized bed and bathroom suite. The others shared a room each with a double bed (lower of a bunk bed). With couples and kids, this would very nicely accommodate 22. Even more with sleeping bags and pads in the giant walk-in closets. The house was clean and very well stocked with dishes, towels, etc... Also, Vacasa was very responsive with the few requests we had. The house is quite a bit west of the main part of Galveston in a serene and beautiful area. Also, try The Pointe restaurant. We all had a delicious meal there. Be aware that they close at 9 PM. Overall, I highly recommend this home.

Great location, but disappointing cleanliness and appliances

There were dead bugs in several rooms upstairs. Also, the drain in one of the bathrooms upstairs wasn't draining, so it was difficult to take a shower. The appliances didn't work, ie the oven, built in microwave, or stove. The stairs were filthy when we came into the house. The propane tank spare was empty and the other only half the propane, so we had to call someone to bring another tank. She was very prompt in bringing the tank, but yet another inconvenience. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with the cleaning before we arrived, but more importantly some basic things made it a difficult place to stay. It is a good location, and the house itself has a good layout, but these issues definitely made it difficult to give a higher rating. Thanks

Spring Break 2024

We recently stayed at this vacation rental on spring break and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the property had not been properly maintained. The undergarments left in the laundry hamper were a major red flag and set the tone for the rest of our stay. One of the biggest issues we encountered was the lack of air conditioning upstairs. With temperatures reaching 75 degrees and 84% humidity, it was extremely uncomfortable and made sleeping nearly impossible. Additionally, the door upstairs did not latch, allowing bugs to freely enter our living space throughout the night. To add insult to injury, we were unable to enjoy the main porch for grilling and dining due to bee's nests. Despite bringing these issues to the attention of the property management, nothing was done to address them during our stay. We felt completely ignored and disregarded. Overall, our experience at this vacation rental was extremely disappointing. I would highly advise future guests to beware of these shortcomings before booking a stay at this property.
