Check in process and communication was great. The views of the property and direct access to beach was amazing! However the property is nothing like the pictures. It’s old and needs major renovating. The thermostat will not go below 71 and the downstairs bed rooms never cooled off. When we arrived, the floors were filthy and there were flies killed on walls and bathroom mirrors were dirty. I killed never bugs and 2 roaches in the first day. I discussed with the property manager and was only reimbursed my cleaning fee basically, despite the false advertisement in my opinion. I would definitely read the reviews here as it appears others have had this issue. Posting a few pictures for proof (not the super nasty stuff). Hope they do the renovations as it could be a great peoperty, but won’t be staying here again.

Absolutely perfect beachfront location! Not a busy beach so delightful. House was clean but is definitely showing her age and needs general maintenance and repairs. Anything that was broken or needed attention management responded to messaging immediately and maintenance was there with in an hour. It’s not blue (as in the VBRO pictures) anymore, but more of a grey. Would stay here again.

This is the worst experience staying at VRBO. First noticed the house did not look like the pictures online, needs updating. Kitchen drawers did not open properly, would get off track. Dead roaches in bathroom master bedroom. And live roach in silverware drawer. Beds very uncomfortable, the bunkbed mattresses are TERRIBLE. Bedroom doors don’t lock. When I mentioned the roaches, I was told that this is common when staying on the beach. I have stayed in homes on the beach several times and never encountered roach problems. Everything about this house was cheap and could be nicer. Hope these issues can be resolved since the house is in a nice location.

Great place to stay with friends and family. Upon arrival, the floors were pretty sandy throughout the house, but it is right on the beach. The kitchen was fully stocked, minus pans. The host responded in a timely manner when we had any questions. Overall, we had a great time and would stay here again.

Excellent beach view & access. Excellent layout and enough room for a big family, appreciate pets being allowed. But definitely needs to be disinfected between uses because our dog could pick up the scent of others dogs in the house. Floors were filthy and need a good mopping. Roaches were visible in the kitchen so suggest pest control. Don’t expect anything extra in the house bring your own bath soap and shampoo, towels and sheets need replacing.

Place was full of sand, even on the kitchen counters. Clothes left behind in the dryer from the previous renters. Shower downstairs didn't have a privacy wall/fence around it, made it unusable, had only hot water. We had to use the garden hose to rinse off. Kitchen trash bags were very low quality, ripped every singe time, not the right size.

The cleaning company needs to be replaced. Hair in every shower! Tooth brush laying on the floor between sink and toilet of 1 bathroom. The cabinet door was off under the sink. A false drawer facing board was split in 1/2 and hanging by paint on the kitchen bar.

June Family Get away

When we arrived we realized the pictures on VRBO look better than actual. House is a little run down but it is a beach house and hard to maintain, I get that. However, we walked in and there was a kitchen sink cabinet that was completely on the floor, hinge and all. There was another cracked drawer. Not necessarily a big deal but a flag. The area underneath the house had not been swept at all. There was sand, charcoal, dirty tables, and bar b q pit parts scattered about. The grill was in total disrepair. Felt like any second it would collapse. Also water leaked from a bathroom shower onto the concrete. There was algae were the water was falling which meant the leak had been there awhile. Obviously no clean up was done there prior to our arrival. Additionally there was a beach restoration project that was ongoing. Wed-Fri we had dump trucks and front end loaders in front of the house. Would have been nice to know. Lastly we had guests arrive on Fri. When they went into the room to retire they discovered blood on their pillow. How did the housekeeping group not see this?Except for the beach restoration project, all of the issues above are easily fixed. There seems to be a lack of attention from the mgmt group.

The house is nice and well stocked. The area is cute and there is a nice community pool nearby. The beach in front of the house was closed for construction. We were not able to enjoy the beach. There was constant tractor traffic, 18 wheelers, and signage that we could not access the beach. Although it is advertised as being beachfront we were not able to access the beach and it was a huge disappointment. We also paid for a golf cart for the trip and we were not able to use it because the beach was closed. The trash was never emptied and we had to keep our trash inside for the entire trip. We could not watch TV bc none of the TVs had remotes. Thanks!

Another Wonderful Family Vacation

We loved this property so much that we decided to rent it again this year around the same time of year. Once again the whole family was able to come, 11 adults and 2 small children. It is so comfortable and spacious and we enjoyed it once again every moment we were there. I highly recommend it!

Great time

We had a great time. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. With small children we could make several trips a day to the beach without it being a big deal. The deck and chairs were wonderful for watching the waves. All of us really enjoyed it.

Beautiful Beach Front House

Beach house has direct beach access from deck or by road just a few houses down. The layout is perfect for families. Main floor bedroom and bathroom is convenient for parents and the multi-bunk bedrooms great for kids. The kitchen, living-dining room layout is open and spacious. The whole family could hang out together. The views are amazing from sunrise to sunset. Would recommend and hope to stay here again in the future.

Tons of space and you cant beat the view!

There were 9 of us and had space for plenty more! Great place to be especially with kids. Lots of seating in the living space and all of the windows brought in tons of natural light. Plenty of pots/pans/dishes/silverware to accommodate large groups. The main strip in Galveston is only about 15 to 20 minutes from the house with tons to do and places to eat (there were a few things closer as well).Had a couple minor issues that were handled immediately. Would definitely stay here again!1 thing to note...this is a beach that you can drive on which scared me at first but everyone was very cautious and we had no issues.1 suggestion (not complaint because I asked beforehand and knew what to bring)..beach towels are not supplied but there were plenty of bath towels for showers/baths.

Great

Easy access to beach. Path direct from property. Be aware vehicles are allowed on beach. Easy check-in and check-out. Plenty of room. The bottom bunks are in the floor. Quiet neighborhood. Would stay again.
