Great getaway

We enjoyed the couple nights we were there for a quick getaway. The beach is a very short walk and is on sand the entire way.

Save yourself the trouble - outdated - Never again!

Arrived on Sunday, A/C was off, house was 88 degrees. Advised owner that it was off and there was other damages around the property. She offered refund for the night or we could move to a bay side property. I chose this house despite the reviews because of location. A/C repair was to come next day to fix the a/c. I accepted refund for the night that we would stick it out because we loved the location. View was terrible but only short walk to the beach. Next day a/c guy came late in the day and determined it would need replaced it was beyond repair. So owner then offered another beach side house so we had to pack up and move. Still havent received the refund we were promised. House is terribly outdated, mini blinds in every room were either broken or didnt fit windows. Large window in shower so hope you're not shy because neighbors will see it all. The 3rd bedroom does not have a 3rd bed, no futon, only bunk beds. House definitely left some to be desired. Owner was good to communicate up until we left then stopped responding and never got refunded for first miserable night. House needs a lot of TLC, has some potential if owners cared to invest any efforts into it. I certainly wont make the mistake of booking this house again. Save yourself the trouble!

The home we rented originally was absolutely awful! The photos on the website did not represent the home properly… Bugs were all over the house, water was leaking out from everything to include the smoke detector ,one of the windows was in the floor, where they were trying to get the smell out, there was bird poop on the floor, and the bathroom had a sewage smell. Also, none of the televisions worked properly The next morning after being in contact with a rep. We were moved to a different house and it was awesome. It was clean and well maintained. We were all very comfortable there. We thank the rep. For jumping in and fixing the issue and helping get a beautiful place for our grandchildren to stay.

Mediocre rental

When i arrived the door code woukd not work. I called vacasa and was not given anybinfo as only my spouses name was on the reservation. Aftet he called from a differebt location he was given a code for keys in a lock box. They worked for the house. The refrigerator was not on when I arrived and it was hot. After I reset the plug it came on. However I had to go buy ice to put in so my groceries would not ruin. There were dead roaches (about 10) scattered all over the house. Also the bathroom was dirty....fust and dead bugs in the tub and sink. Having to clean up immediately was not the best start. The house overall is just older and had some dsgging cabinets, scuffs on walls, a couple of holes in walls. The put door furniture was sun weathered and 1 chair broke when I sat in it damaging my pride. This property just needs some upkeep amd some updating. All the linens were clean and smelled nice.

Nasty and misleading

We dealth with ants, roaches and sewer smell the whole time we was there. The house was not clean there was dirty used q tips on the bathroom floor, hair on the shower tile NOT from us roaches ants in beds all over the counter. You could not leave nothing sitting you could not put your bags on the floor because you didn't know what was going to crawl in it. The bedding smelt like sour throw up. This house needs lots of TLC and for what they charge its very disappointing. The pictures and description is very misleading leading. The view is the only good thing. We could not use anything in the cabinets there was dead roaches on dishes on shelf the fridge is broken and nasty. The manager did reach out but haven't heard anything since. The owner of this house should be ashamed in renting this out. No privacy in the bedrooms blinds are broke. Never again will I rent this house.

The house was ok. Need some minor mantance fixes. Cleaning crew needs to do better.

Overall experience was ok. A couple minor things and the manager was prompt on getting it handled. Not the best house I have rented but the roof don't leak and we had a good time. Biggest complaint is the beds are like sleeping on a concrete floor.

Not what I expected

3 homes away from beach ocean view was nice and living area was clean; however, this property was very dated. It was more like staying at a camp than a beach house. Downstairs laundry area was too dirty to do laundry. Did not stay the last night. Understand the low nightly rate now.

The added costs that are associated with Verbo are totally out of line. The price of the rental was less than half of the total cost. Will not use Verbo in future.

Birding at the beach

This was a great property for birding nearby Galveston State Park, La Fette’s Cove, 8 Mile, San Luis bridge, and Campeche Cove. The beach near the house was clean and uncrowded. Neighbors were quiet and friendly.

Seaside Satisfaction!

Great beach property rental. Short walk to the beach (3 houses away). Completely furnished with cozy beach styles. Mini blinds broken (were not broken when I first rented it - 4th time renting same house due to easy access to the beach), but when all up, there's a clear view of all the beach and beach houses.

Needs a little attention

Everything was clean and tidy with the exception of the oven (got very smoky while baking cookies) and the bed covers (smelled like somebody else's sweat). Also, upon arriving, I still had not received Door/WiFi Codes on my phone (never received WiFi code) like I had on previous visits (Sent to work email and I was on vacation the day of traveling. Codes/Info need to be sent a day before stay begins for planning). Everything else was good.

Not so clean but great location

The cleaning and maintenance crew should pay closer attention to the all small details. Could I have called to get these things fixed, someainly cleaning others were more building upkeep. Things weren't discovered until really late Friday evening and we were leaving on Sunday duper early. However, the location is amazing, beach within 300ft, quiet neighborhood. Would definitely consider staying here again if a deep cleaning was done!

Great Location, Okay House

Overall great experience. The house was older and more worn than shown but the location was great!!! Loved the beach towels offered. Window in bathroom cracked and had tape over it. Window blinds broken, some ants, and the downstairs portion with dryer/washer is very unkept, would not use. Short walk to the beach, which is private to residents in that area. Could walk back and forth to the beach throughout the day which was soo nice.

End of semester getaway
