house had everything we needed and a lot of things that made our stay even better. There were plenty of fans which a lot of beach houses do not have! The host was super quick to respond and very, very helpful. There wasn't anything that we did not like about the house.

Stayed here with my family to celebrate Mother's Day. The home is just as advertised. This particular home is unique in that the kitchen, living, and dining spaces are all on the top floor. There is a nice-sized bedroom and bath on the top floor, as well, however, the remainder of the bedrooms are on the middle floor. All bedrooms and baths are well appointed and look just like the photos in the listing. We enjoyed the hot tub, but keep in mind you cannot control the temperature, so if you prefer the temp below 104 you may want to arrange that to be changed by the owner prior to your arrival. Speaking of the owner, I cannot say enough positive things about Mai and her amazing level of communication. She was extremely communicative and responsive at all times throughout our stay--just a very friendly personality and her efforts were very much appreciated. A lovely home and lovely homeowner.

Our friend group, all adults, spent a few days at the coast and had a perfect vacation at this wonderful home. Plenty of spaces to gather and plenty of privacy for quiet time and sleeping. Most bedrooms are on the second floor so the early birds don’t wake anyone up while drinking coffee on the balcony taking in the beautiful gulf views and breeze. The home is nicely appointed with everything you need to cook with and very comfortable beds! The hot tub affords privacy but has a peek a boo cut out providing more ocean views while taking a soak. The host is an excellent communicator and responds to all inquiries and questions promptly and with detailed instruction. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to make fantastic memories on a beach vacation.

We really enjoyed our time at Mai’s home. She was very helpful with any questions we had. She had some recommendations on the island that we took advantage of - which was a nice bonus! Beds were very comfortable, views of ocean were great!

This is one of the best houses we have stayed in! We had 8 adults and 1 child. The design of the living space allowed us all to interact easily even when some people were cooking and others hanging out in the living room. Everything was clean and in good condition. The property manager was very communicative and all information was clear. There were zero issues with the house. It helped our vacation be a great success!

Our group of 10 stayed 5 nights and enjoyed every minute. The rooms are nice, kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, glasses, and utensils. Very easy beach access to walk over or close enough to take a car to the beach. Mai was extremely quick to respond with any questions we had and checked in on us several times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Already planning our trip for next year!

We come to Galveston every year and this was by far the best house we have stayed in. 12 of us comfortably could all cook and eat in the kitchen. The kitchen had just what you needed, dishes, pots and pans were clean. Rooms were all a great size, bathrooms super clean with great showers. Downstairs shower was nice. The outdoor space underneath was amazing. Lots of seating and a greet breeze with view of the water. Private beach access( share with neighbor that we never saw) Cars can park on this beach, was a non-issue really. Last couple days were busy, but it was a holiday weekend. We are planning on coming back!

First of all, Mai (the property manager) is wonderful. She checked on us three times to make sure we were enjoying our stay, and when we did have questions, she got right back with us. The house is terrific. Clean, spacious (we had 13 folks in the house and never felt cramped), great AC, and great views. And all the little extras that you need (like coffee maker, Instant Pot, plenty of pots and pans, excellent internet, etc). The bedrooms had plenty of space as well. The bedroom suite with a small kitchenette was very nice. Also had a small refrigerator in case of overflow from the main kitchen fridge. There is also an extra fridge (small) in the kitchen for cans/bottled drinks. The beach is very close and was very clean during the week we went. Vacationers do need to be aware that it is a public beach with vehicles allowed. Saturday was very crowded (lots of folks fishing), but the rest of the days were fine with plenty of space. The outside ground floor was terrific. Plenty of seating for relaxing, and picnic tables for eating outside. And the hot tub was awesome for relaxing after a long day at the beach. PLENTY of beach toys for the kids! And wagons! One other note - it is mentioned that a tent is available for use. But it is getting a little long-in-the-tooth. We did bring our own tent. Overall, this place is fantastic! If you want to go in style and comfort, I highly recommend it. I know the next time we stay in Galveston, we'll be staying here!

We just enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Stavanger beach house! The house is beautiful and we felt like we had more than enough space for our family of 9. I was surprised with how well the kitchen is supplied with pots, pans, small appliances, dishes, etc. While the house is a little outside Galveston, we felt the location was perfect as it was quiet and the beach was beautiful and minimally occupied. Mai and Tom are wonderful hosts and responded promptly to any questions that arose. Would definitely stay there again!

Mai was fantastic about communicating with us and made it very easy to get checked in and answered any questions we had. We had an extended family group with an infant, a 2 year old and 30 something and grandma and grandpa. It is set up great for infants & children. The bunk room is their special place with toys and games. Also small forks. Spoons, plates and cup for smaller children. All kinds of beach toys and boogie boards and wagons and chairs for the beach. Direct access to beach Wow- it makes the beach time great. Beds and furniture are great and very comfortable. Plenty of high quality cookware and dishes- made cooking easy. The family really enjoyed the nugget ice maker on the counter top and large TV to catch a couple of the NCA basketball tournament games. We really enjoyed using the Weber large gas grill- for fish and shrimp as well as burgers and steaks. Overall was a great experience and wonderful place.

All of the family enjoyed our visit at this very beautiful house! Our visit was short and it was so nice that we were able to enjoy each other's company and not have to deal with any issues. Very clean and comfortable stay - the kind of clean that is truly clean and not masked by scents and perfumes. Mai, our host, is very sweet and responsive - I really appreciated her help! All the appliances and amenities worked perfectly and I appreciated that the cookware and plate ware were in such good condition. Thank you!!!

This is a beautiful house with great views and comfortable decks. It has everything you need for a great time. The beds are VERY comfortable, the hot tub was pristine! Chairs and toys for the beach. The ground level is awesome too with a bar, lounge chairs to view the ocean and enjoy the great breeze. I highly recommend it! It's beautiful!

'Call of the Sea' was the perfect beach house for my family of 14. There is ample room for everyone and everything. 4 King size beds which were very comfortabe with amazing bedding. The 'kids' room has 4 twin and 2 trundle beds which accommodated my 6 grand children ages 5 - 12. The kitchen is on the 3rd floor which made initial unloading challenging but offered outstanding views from the balcony and was easy to access for all guest. The table hosted 10 chairs (which have upholstered white seats). We did fine; but it made me a bit nervous with the children. The kitchen island served perfectly as our central food service . Wifi was easily accessible. Bonuses: a dozen beach chairs, a dozen buggy boards, a dozen beach towels, 3 beach wagons, and a 12 X 12 tent. Mai was always responsive to any question and happy to help. We would definitely stay here again.!
