Relaxing Family Fun

We took our two adult children, their spouses and four grandkids (ages 6 & 8) to Galveston and stayed at "A Reel Good Spot". The home was beautiful with comfortable rooms for all adults and a fun bunkroom for the cousins to share. We fished off the canal, ran across the street and played in the sand & water and had a wonderful family trip! Any questions we had were promptly answered. We would love to return and stay here again. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Perfect for family overflow

This property is located steps away from my own home so it's perfect for those times I can't fit everyone in my own home. It has a great layout with large comfortable beds. The bunk room is perfect for children of all ages. We will be using it for future family gatherings.

Galveston Vacation 2024

The trip was a success. Even though it rained everyday all day it was a good time. The kids fished all day everyday even in the rain. One disappointment was the fishing lights were not working. It was the only bummer of the trip. We would definitely rent it again.

Great place to stay

The host was quick to respond - even during hurricane clean-up and power outages. The house had plenty of room for all 11 of us and one of the best-equipped kitchens we have had. This is our preferred neighborhood - everything is easily accessible, including the marina & neighborhood supermarket, restaurants, and a park. Beach is less than a 2 min drive and fish from the dock at the house was excellent

Family time

We wanted a place to be together for meals, games and just hanging out. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. We only had to buy a few supplies that we hadn’t thought to bring. This is a five star home top to bottom.

Great house!

The kids room was awesome with lots of space for all the kids. The kids really enjoyed being able to kayak in the canal and they loved seeing the fish jump. Fishing off the deck was great! The house had plenty of space for our group and was well stocked and very clean. We enjoyed staying here and would definitely consider booking again.

We all enjoyed our stay at the why waite rental property. It's a very lovley place. The cleanliness of property wasnt high standard. The basics we clean, but the Base boards, walls, need clean. Under and around island and kitchen cupboards as well. But all in all I would rent this place again.

Enjoyed my 60th birthday with my family.

We had plenty room for everyone. My grandson loved his huge room with the bunk beds and tv. All the room were so spacious and beautifully decorated. We loved sitting out in the decks and being able to be walking distance from a beach. It was very peaceful and relaxing there also. We also enjoyed kayaking also. I would definitely recommend this beautiful spot. Lisa

Fabulous Getaway!

The house was perfect for our family getaway. The neighborhood was very peaceful. The house had more than enough room for everyone, including two toddlers! The bunk room was the perfect place for quiet play & naps. Beds were super comfy, bathrooms clean and spacious. The upstairs deck was great for relaxing & watching the sunrise/sunset. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. The property manager was prompt to answer all questions, before & during our stay. Highly recommend this property for families or couples.

Perfect for a family!

We had two families and the space was perfect.The description nailed it. Short walk to the beach, we used the BBQ grill, did some fishing, kayaking, and sat on the deck to just take in the view of the canal and enjoy time together. It was chilly in the evening but comfortable. Not a bad drive to any store you might need or to go downtown, or pleasure pier. Would highly recommend. Kathy, the host was very pleasant to work with and answered any questions I had.

Easter Weekend

This house was great for our large family! Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of linens provided. Fishing was fantastic. My daughter landed her first red off the dock and my sister caught 2 keeper flounder. We will for sure rent this house again.

Great Place fur Family Time

We had a great time at a Reel Good Place with our Family and grandsons at Spring Break this year, We had in our party a total of 6 adults and our 3 grandsons ages 4, 5, and 6 years. This place had plenty of bedrooms and kitchen/dining space for everyone. Lucky for us, the cable TV worked well with access to the cartoon network :). The house was very well equipped including the outdoor shower and outside grill which we used to grill hamburgers one evening. The beach is a short 3-minute drive or 10-minute walk away. We will be back!

Great for group!

We loved the house and location! Short golf cart ride to the beach and even rode over to the marina a few times. House was clean and comfortable- perfect for our group of 7 adults and two teenagers. Would stay again!
