The property is very nice. The house was large and comfortable with plenty of outdoor space. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner by the fireplace. There was even a popcorn machine which we all loved. The owner was very accommodating and quick to respond. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful getaway this is the perfect spot! We will be back when the weather warms up to enjoy the beautiful yard!

A homey feeling

The place is very comfortable and restful. Outside of a few day-treks we spent our early morning hours watching the birds, squirrels, and a rabbit. I would recommend it for couples, an individual who wants peace and quiet, and families with young kids. A great stay!

Relaxing getaway

The land surrounding the property was so beautiful and secluded. I have an Australian shepherd who enjoyed the yard. The lilacs were in bloom when we were there and it smelled amazing! The house had everything we needed for our relaxing getaway, comfy beds, board games and a fire pit. Thank you so much!

Very nice home/yard

We would definitely stay here. Thomas was easy to get in touch with and very responsive. The home is older with hard wood floors in some rooms, newer carpeting in other rooms, beds were very comfortable. Kitchen, bathrooms were clean and seemed newly upgraded. All the furniture was comfortable.The yard was great for walking our dog without having to go out on a main road. The home/ area was very quiet as it sits in a cul de sac away from the main road.

This house was great! Had all the essentials we needed. There was even a giant popcorn maker that my kiddos were excited to use. Great added bonus! There is a steep set of stairs leading to the main floor from the entry. Just an heads up for anyone that may have issues with stairs. Owner was very responsive & quick to reply to any messages sent. Highly recommended staying here.

Family Wedding Weekend

Very nice accomodations. much to offer for keeping us entertained, and would be perfect for a family with younger children. We were there for only two days. Did not have time to eally enjoy the Home or all it had to offer. Would definitely rent again!

Secluded and quiet

Perfect location for myself and 2 siblings, no fighting over bathrooms like when we were kids! Only 10 min from town where we did plenty of shopping, then back to the house to sit out back and enjoy the quiet on the balcony. We were entertained by the local wild turkeys! Dressers in the bedrooms would come in handy for folded clothing, other than that everything else was perfect.

College Roommates Reunion Weekend

Our annual get-together was very well accommodated with this spacious and comfortable home. If you prefer a quiet country setting over the bustle of downtown, this would be a great choice for you. We had sunny, warm fall weather so could enjoy the outside seating areas. Our only hick-up (very minor) was the touchpad key entry - didn't know to hit that 5th button after the 4-digit code (all keypads are NOT alike), but Jessica helped us through the Ring camera system immediately, so we got in without delay. Would stay here again!

Wild Animal inside the House!!!!!

The place could have been great, except we were awakened by the screams of one guest who had the cold paws of a squirrel crawl over her while she had been asleep in bed. We were not able to chase the squirrel out of the house and had to lock him in one of the bedrooms. Very little sleep happened after this traumatizing event. We left really early the next morning as we could not stand to hear the squirrel banging his body against the window trying to get out. A discount for the trouble would have been great, but alas we paid full price.

Lots of little touches made for a pleasant stay

Little extras like games and puzzles in the upstairs living area, dvds, firewood and fire starter logs, everything you might need in the kitchen, shampoo and body wash and sunscreen were present at our stay. Quiet area with lots of outdoor room for kids to run around and play. Relatively far from resort area if that is something you are considering. Note: The staircase from the entry to the upper level (where the kitchen is) is pretty narrow. Stairs are small. Some maintenance needed after winter on screens and window blinds, outdoor fire pit and chairs could use replacing, but it didn’t affect our stay because we had colder temps. Pillows could use washing and/or replacing. Owner is aware of these issues now. Larger groups, be aware that there are two stools at the kitchen counter. No other eating area inside. Expect to either eat outside (plenty of seating) or sit at couches to eat. We would stay here again.

corgi stay

we had 2 corgi dogs with us and chose this property because of the screened in porch and yard space. we were not able to use the porch at all since there were huge holes in the screening and 1 door was broken on its hinges, also the floor boards were all loose and sticking up. there were wasps all inside because of the holes in screening. we had to use the upstairs porch a few times but had to have the dogs on leads because of the stairs. if you stay here, please check ahead to make sure they fixed the porch. also, the inside stairs are very steep and narrow, be careful if elderly or children will be using them. the house was ok for us but, we would not have rented it if we knew about the porch and inside dangerous staircase. hopefully the owners make repairs and check the house out between guests to make sure items are functional. scott & kathe
