Perfect villa to celebrate 40 years of friendship!

We all concluded that the best word to describe this villa was ‘palatial’. Spotlessly clean marble floors, cosy couches and fab pool, it had everything we needed. Not far from the centre of Funchal, albeit down a very steep hill, it’s a great location with amazing views. Luckily Bolt taxis are very reasonable so that saved us the steep walk back up the hill. Filomena was very helpful and recommended a tasty local restaurant for our first lunch and helped us sort out the delayed transport back to the airport on our last day.. It was a perfect place to relax by the pool after a days sightseeing and I can highly recommend staying here.

Perfect location

We had amazing time in Maderia we loved everything about it. Our host Filomena was very nice and easy to communicate with .The home was huge and beautiful the views were incredible. Love everything about the house. The location was the best everything is near by we learned you don't need to rent a car in this location. Alot eaiser useing Bolt and doing excursion. Filomena thank you for sharing your home with us.Thank you Portugal for sharing your island with us.

Amazing villa!

Amazing place to stay, great location, lovely pool and fantastic grounds. The communication with Filomena was very efficient and easy. We were lucky - Filomena was able to let us check in early, which was much appreciated. My mum hurt her leg, and Filomena was so kind to let us stay at the villa till it was time to going to the airport. Thank you so much!!!!

Funchal Gem

We had the pleasure of staying at Filomena’s home for 5 days in early October. A stunning home with a magnificent view of Funchal and the harbour. 3 large size bedrooms each with their own ensuite with excellent beds. Massive principal rooms, an excellent kitchen, and a beautiful outdoor covered porch overlooking a lovely, clean pool. Communication was prompt and very helpful. We were 3 couples and absolutely loved our time at Filomena’s. Highly recommend.

Beautiful property, beautiful views.

A very large, very well managed villa in a great location. Perfect for anyone who wants lots of room. The pool was clean, big enough for a swim and in an amazing terraced garden with what must be some of the best views in Funchal. Everything was spotless when we arrived. A wonderful warm welcome from our host Filomena. 100% recommend for a special occasion, family holiday etc

Wonderful house, perfect location

We stayed here for a week with two teenage kids. The house is marvellous, beautiful and very spacious. The pool is nice, big enough and clean and was great. The garden is huge and has the most spectacular view over Funchal facing the sea. Filomena is a wonderful host and was always available when we had a question. It's quite central and only a short walk down the hill to the old town and the teleferico. But of course, you can also take the car. We greatly enjoyed our time in the beautiful house! Thanks Filomena for being such a great host.

Amazing property

I was extremely happy with this rental, and our host, Filomena. She made the process very smooth, and the property was just as advertised if not better. Walking distance to fantastic restaurants, as well as to port and old town Funchal. It’s a steep walk but a lot of fun.The views are simply outstanding, and the pictures can’t capture all of that. Would absolutely rent this property again on our next trip to Funchal.

Heaven on Earth

10-10 is not a sufficient score to describe this amazing Villa. It’s a mini mansion. The pictures on the VRBO listing do not do the property justice. Spotless, impeccable, vast, views to die for … what else can I add. Within walking distance to the heart of Funchal. Yes, there is the mandatory walk down and up a hill, typical of Funchal. We loved this property. Our host Filomena is an angel. She welcomed us as if we were family. The bottle of wine and farm fresh eggs provided were a gift from the heart. We felt at home and awestruck from the moment we walked into this wondrous home. The only downside, we wish we would have stayed longer. Do not hesitate to book and stay here, I pray we will be able to be back next year. Truly amazing stay.
