The apartment is spotless & well equipped & Gill, the housekeeper is extremely pleasant & obliging.
However, there were downsides to our stay:
A short time before our arrival we were notified by the owner, that we had to telephone Gill on arrival to arrange for her to meet us with the keys.
I struggled to convince Jane that since the U.K. is no longer part of the E.U. that my telephone contract does not allow me to make what are now International calls. Gill stepped in & allowed us to have her Email address so I could Email her from the Airport.
Another problem being; the day after arrival, despite our key opening the deadlock, we could not release the actual door latch, eventually after lots of attempts, the latch finally released for a reason unknown.
We had the same problem in the evening, this time, no matter how many attempts we had, the latch would not release.
Regrettably I could not contact anyone, but fortunately after over ½ hour the door eventually opened.
Gill eventually got back to me & met us the next day & showed us how to unlock the door.
The lock is incorrectly adjusted, as you have to pull the door towards you, whilst turning the key.
As nice as the apartment is, it is situated on a hill, just above a roundabout & all of the roads are extremely busy & noisy, even during the night.
The views are from the balconies are good, but we didn't find any pleasure sitting on them due to the traffic noise & fumes from a lot of the vehicles wafting up.
