Great location, layout

Great location, easy walk to the port and main shopping district. Numerous restaurants nearby, and a second-rate casino if you’re into gambling. Rental needed a little handyman TLC, which we discussed with the property mangers, and given their responsiveness I expect that things will be fixed in short order. Island Apartments was a really good company to work with and would rent from them again.

Great Location for a Big Family

This was a great location for a big family. The apartment was larger than expected. The garage parking was much appreciated. Master bathroom could use a fan, it is very musty, but opening the window helps with the smell. Vitor was great at communicating before we arrived. We could walk to everywhere in town and didn't have to worry about finding parking. We would stay here again.

Great Apartment in a fantastic location

Great 2 weeks. Family of 4 with 2 kids aged 9 and 12. Apartment was perfect, great size, clean, had everything you need. Pool good and never busy. Location was perfect close to the centre of Funchal but away from the hustle and bustle. Supermarkets, restaurants & bars only a few minutes walk away. Highly recommend.

Very spacious apartment in convenient location.

We had a lovely stay at this very spacious apartment. It is well located and within walking distance to the harbour, Old Town, bus connections and shopping centre with supermarket etc. Lots of places to eat nearby. The views from this apartment are spectacular and worth the steep climb back from the centre. The communication from Island Apart was very good. The pool was quiet and enjoyed by us most days. Although no air conditioning, the many fans were much appreciated for our August stay. I would recommend.

Beautiful view

Great apartment, good location. Check in process and communication with owner/agency was very hard and confusing. No A/C in the unit, very hot to sleep at night. Don’t leave food on the kitchen counter, hundreds of ants will show up.

The best view in Funchal!

We love the location of this property, which is why we choose to stay a second time (first time in 2021). We absolutely love the view from the balcony and the roof terrace! Watching the fireworks on New Year's Eve was THE highlight of an already amazing trip! If you get a chance to experience it, you should. The proximity to the rest of Funchal is great (as long as you don't mind the two large hills - which is why the view is so amazing). You can get to plenty of restaurants and all the key highlights in town. The apartment was very comfortable for our family of 5 and we really enjoy the space available in the bedrooms, bathrooms, living room and kitchen. It is easy to feel at home and to settle in to a nice comfortable stay. We would love to return as this apartment has been a big factor in making our stay so wonderful.

Ideal for our ‘winter escape’

Well equipped property in a good location to take advantage of the city of Funchal as well as the Lido and beach walks. The apartment was exactly as described and pictured online. Great welcome and support from the team at An Island Apart. We had a very enjoyable stay and hope to return next year.

Fantastic flat with amazing views!

We had a fantastic 10 day stay at this flat. The view from the lounge and balcony was amazing and we couldn’t get enough of it. We had plenty of room to spread out and were very comfortable. The property manager were very responsive and helped us along the entire trip. I rate An Island Apart very highly for service and responsiveness. The apartment was well appointed with all that we needed for a comfortable stay. The location of the property was perfect for us, with plenty of restaurants nearby and a short walk down to the waterfront. We would definitely return for another stay here!

It was not cheap, but we are very impressed about this Apartement

We are very happy to be in that Apartement lisch Hi there, we were very satisfied, my wife and I, that we were able to book this apartment on booking.com. It was very centrally located in Funchal with a breathtaking view of the city. However, the chickens woke us up at night and the barking dogs. Then in the morning the ambulance and the fire station. That's annoying if you want to sleep with the window open

Excellent stay

Service is professional, always somebody to contact. The apartment itself is outstanding. Located perfectly close to the casino and to the old town, close to the (not interesting) hotel district where you can find some nice restaurants. Anything worthy for a touristic stay is reachable walking. Rooftop is over the edge with a fantastic view on Funchal and the coastline. Decoration is modern, simple and perfectly adapted for peace of mind. Rooms are really nice and the facilities are well maintained, this is equivalent to a 4 star hotel, hands down. Even better because you have the all apartment for yourself ! I would definitely recommend this place for a stay in Madeira.

Fantastic stay

We loved our stay in this spacious, spotless apartment with the most stunning views of Funchal. Handy for La Vie shopping and the Old Town as well as the Lido area. Was a pity that our last 2 days were spoiled by a very noisy boiler problem as occurred at the weekend so it was difficult to contact anyone. Wouldn’t put us off returning though as am sure will be fixed. An Island Apart helped us find this place so very grateful to them.

Clean spacious and special

This was a lovely apartment overlooking Funchal. Lovely views from the roof terrace. It was clean and well organised. The check in was excellent, and dealing with An Island Apart was straightforward. They were very flexible and allowed an early check in. We wanted to stay longer, but it had already been booked. It is up a hill from the Casino in a nice area. We’d definitely return.

Very Nice Appartment

The appartment is perfectly located, very comforable with a fantasti point of view on Funchal, the montains and the see ! The Equipment are working perfectly, washing machines, barbecue , internet, TV, ... 4 WC, 2 shower, 1 bath w massage !! The pool is perfect, and we can see it from the appartment and decide to go depending on how many people are using it (we were alone most of the time !!) Some minor remarks : - no air conditionned (but many fans which is OK / temperature in Funchal max = 27°) - slightly Noisy at night (we sleep with Windows open) - sleeping material (deckchair) looks like it is not perfectly clean or old (some spots on it) Anyway, it was a wonderful stay !

Amazing stay at Rua da Jasmineiro

We've been leaving in this apartment for 3 months. Everything was perfect. The biggest advantage is the rooftop with stunning view where you can do bbq or just chill with the nightlights. The apartment is very good equipped - you have everything that you would possibly need for daily life. We totally recommend you staying in this beautiful flat.
