We loved the location of the apartment it was spacious for 4 people with a well equipped kitchen. We ate at the restaurant below and the food was lovely; although everywhere in Funchal has amazing restaurants with an abundance of fish on the menus. We were close to the cable cars and the sea, bus stops and taxis. There are 3 flights of stairs to reach your apartment so maybe not suitable for the less able as there isn’t a lift. We communicated a few times with Our Madeira but felt they lacked a personal touch, we didn’t really know who we were talking to. We asked for 2 sets of keys but didn’t receive the extra set. Although we did manage in the end..Unfortunately some building work was going on in the adjacent block so drilling and hammering went on for 2 days and woke us up each morning. We received some wine as an apology which was nice but peace and quiet and a restful stay is what you ideally need!! As 4 of us stayed 4 chairs on the balcony would have been nice we only had 3!! It looked at bit tired and not like the pictures which was a shame as we paid more for apartment 5 with the balcony!!We loved Madeira and would definitely visit the island again and the location of this apartment was great.
