Super bien ubicado cerquita de todo el antiguo barrio, centrico. Solo una noche fue algo de ruidosa. El lugar y la limpieza son IMPECABLES. La comunicación con Vanessa fue super facil y es muy atenta. Si regrearía definitivamente. Todo está super cerquita

L appartement idéalement situé a 3 on est très bien Le plus le service pour poser les bagages le jour de l arrivée et du départ Logement parfait juste le bruit très tard et tôt le matin lié aux restaurants à proximité Ce qui est un avantage est aussi un inconvénient Situé dans le vieux funchal on peut faire beaucoup de chose en bus

Apartamento espaçoso, bons quartos , banheiro grande, sala e cozinha. Falta um pouco de aconchego. Localização ótima, faz-se tudo à pé. Gostamos muito.

The apartment was huge and beautiful. It had everything one would need. A full kitchen with all the wine and beer glasses. Two bedrooms with lovely decor. A large bathroom and a separate laundry room. The check-in was on me. We arrived early and the apartment wasn't ready. We left our bags safely with the restaurant, locked up and explored until the apt was ready. There is a lovely view of the ocean from the apartment bedrooms. The only down side of the apartment is that it is on a street with many restaurants. The bedrooms are above the street. Since there is no AC (we were there early Oct), the windows would need to be open for air movement. The street below is pretty loud until after midnight as tables and chairs get dragged across the cobblestones. If there was AC, the windows wouldn't need to be open. Besides that the apartment was absolutely lovely.

Die Wohnung war in sehr gutem Zustand und es war alles da, was man so braucht, incl. Waschmaschine. Highlight ist natürlich die Lage mitten in der Altstadt von Funchal. In unserer Wohnung war davon aber kaum was zu hören. Gleich neben an ist das dazugehörige wirklich gute Restaurant, worüber auch der Check In abgewickelt wird. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Einziger kleiner Wehrmutstropfen ist, dass es bei starkem Regen einmal durch die Decke getopft hat - da ist wohl irgenwar undicht. GottseiDank regnet es in Funchal aber nicht so oft :-)

Highly recommend

Have stayed here before and will stay again. Central location, comfortable apartment, good wifi. Note there is a disco open on Fri & Sat nights (possibly others nights too?) across the street from the living room window, so you will hear the music.

Poor host that showed rudeness & indifference before travel, during arrival, and while staying. Due to the nature of the area being a heavy foot-traffic restaurant hub, it seemed like lodgers were an inconvenience rather than a customer.

Lovely big apartment with everything you could need. Walkable just about anywhere including beach, lots of restaurants and cable cars. Noise was an issue but to be expected in the heart of old town. Best if you’re planning to be out late yourself!

The apartment is located at the Restaurant Raw. The location is very good, right next to the main funicular. The Lido beach club was 5 minute walk. Location is great. Parking very close by, but expensive. We did not have any issues with noise, but it if you require absolute quiet, it's not optimal. To get into apartment, we came into the restaurant to check in. The people in the restaurant were extremely nice and helpful, but they are they just to give you the keys, if you have questions, they may not be able to answer. We had the apartment on the very top, there are lots of stairs, so if you have lots of baggage, may be difficult. The biggest problem was that the apartment was very hot. They had two small fans but only one worked. When we asked for additional fans, they refused. I don't know where the host was located, but it took a whole day to get a response back. Also, we had only one set of keys which was quite inconvenient as we had to leave them at the restaurant for others to pick up. Overall, good value for the location if you don't expect luxury treatment.

Great location. Huge space. However, bed was hard as a rock and noise from the disco was unbearable until 2 am on Friday and Saturday and although not as loud the other nights, it still kept me up past midnight even with all windows closed. Property is newly remodeled. Paint is fresh. Furniture is uncomfortable and kitchen lacks even the basics of salt/pepper and paper towels It was fine for the price, but I would pay more and stay elsewhere if I returned

Vanessa was very helpful and The property could have been very nice. However, daily street noises from restaurants, pedestrian traffic, cars, karaoke and the nightclub made it unbearable. Access was often difficult due to eating tables at the entrance. Other issues included Suffocating heat, strong odors from the sewer as well as car fumes, restaurants and cigarette smoke.

Fab location.

The property is located just a two minute walk from the seafront. (Right by the cable car) Entrance liberally on one of the prettiest streets in the town. The downside therefore is the noise, we had number 3 on the side street which not only was busy with traffic from 5 am also had a nightclub of sorts which went on til 2 am most nights! The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and well equipped to self cater if you can resist the many local restaurant's which offer fabulous food. If you are a night owl or insomniac this could be a good choice, otherwise take good earplugs.

Other reviewers mentioned this, but this area is extremely noisy. However, it is very central so I suppose I cannot complain about this. I also found the beds to be very hard. We asked for extra toilet paper at reception and were told that we could not get any more. It was also very hot and we were only given one fan for two rooms

Excellent location right in the centre by the seafront . Enormous 2 bed flat , fully equipped. Staff onsight to check you in. Beds very firm good for me but not everyone s comfort. Needed more than one fan didn't ask if could have more as weather just becoming hot as left. The warning of very late night , very early morning noise , music, talking, putting away and setting out restaurants was accurate, so we expected it. We took ear plugs, and managed most nights but if you struggle with getting to sleep not ideal.

Do Not Book Here!

This is not a hotel and no front desk for check-in…very misleading that it’s on a hotel website. They require 72 hours to communicate or respond to messages. We arrived calling to try to check-in for hours from the airport. We sent messages for help to check-in and no one responded for days. We had to book another hotel upon arrival to Funchal so never even got to see our room that we prepaid for…Beware and Do not book here!

The property is very close to the water and there are LOTS of dining options nearby (in fact the first floor has a restaurant). It can get loud in the evening but we knew that would be the case and expected it. However the communication in terms of after arriving to the property was challenging. We waiting around the property before we saw anyone to ask about check in, and calls were not going through. It was Sunday morning and the office was closed but I had given my arrival information in advance so it would have been nice to get a little more clarification on the check in instructions. But once we had checked in and gotten our room, everything was smooth after that. Just be aware that there is no air conditioning and the fan that is in the room does not work very well.
