Was a great little place to get away the dock was wonderful for fishing and just hanging out the only negative for this property was the mattress was not great, but we solve that with a quick purchase of an overlay there are no commercial stores in the area, the closest McDonald’s is 50 miles which truly made it a great getaway For a late summer vacation.

Shore Boy

We had a great time at the Shore Boy. The home was very clean and organized, bright, great views, great location - so quiet. The porches were incredible to begin and end the day on, and the view from the living room is marvelous. We so enjoyed our time and hope to come back next year! Thank you Linda!

This is a great VRBO house in Frisco. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is well equipped and the washer and dryer were a nice touch. There were beach chairs and boogie boards for renters to use, which we appreciated. The outdoor furniture was very nice. The dual AC units kept the place nice a cool in the July heat. We loved having the outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. The only real complaint was no shade on the porch (the addition of an umbrella would be nice) but we still used the large deck frequently. Very nice place to stay.

Great family vacation

Another great week at this beautiful home this year. This is our second time staying here and we just love it. Great location and great area. You can’t beat the view while enjoying morning coffee on the deck. The dock is great for fishing and crabbing. Linda is a great host and has always been great to communicate with. She always keeps in touch and let you know of any issues or changes there maybe. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Such a wonderful location!

Such a wonderful house to stay in. We spent a great deal of time on the dock fishing, crabbing and catching shrimp. The neighbors were all very nice and everything felt very private. We spent every morning on the deck drinking coffee and watching the sun rise. I think this is what I will miss the most. Thank you for sharing your home with us. I cant wait to come back.

Cozy House in a Utopic setting

This was the perfect size house for our family of 4 for a week away on Hatteras Island. Our week in mid-June made for perfect temperatures, early sunrises and late sunsets, both perfectly visible from the dock in either direction. The vast view of the sound from inside the house offered respite from the toil of everyday life. I found most other reviews of this house to be accurate -- overall very wonderful and a very good value. Honestly I don't have space to list all the positives: Very comfortable in a down-home no-frills sort of way, all the amenities we truly needed, comfortable beds, easy access to all sorts of things and places. Quiet street, nice neighbors. Shoreboy is tucked between two larger houses which were not a nuisance, nor do they significantly block the magnificent sound view. Borrowed beach chairs and toys and small body board conveniently stored in the screened in porch. Had kayaks dropped off for the week for the family to venture out a few times. Strong winds makes for challenging paddling for the inexperienced. Our young kids enjoyed playing in the shallow water. Tried our hand at fishing, saw lots jumping everywhere. Most mornings and evenings we went to a beach, either the lifeguarded Frisco ocean beach to the west or the Haulover sound-side beach north and east where kids felt freer to venture out safely. Made many meals in but also enjoyed take-out from Hatteras Island Pizza (formerly Gingerbread Bakery), Pop's, Chilly Hank's, & Pamlico Deli.

Nice View

I booked this for my parents. They loved this house and location. They said altho there were houses on both sides it felt secluded and quiet. They enjoyed the view from the deck, deer on the lawn, and fishing from the pier in the back yard. This is a place they would want to stay at again.

Great Bay Rental in Cape Hatteras, OBX!

Just loved all the amenities! Paddlers paradise! Beautiful bay, perfect for sunrise or sunset kayaking and paddle boarding. The water gets much deeper about a mile from shore, perfect for taking a quick dip. Great fishing too off Linda's dock! Bay is loaded with red drum, puppy drum & other fish. Only a short drive to gorgeous sandy beaches for boogie boarding or surfing. Recommend parking at Cape Hatteras Lighthouse for beach parking, bathrooms, & easy access, beach here is lifeguarded too. Linda's outdoor shower is perfect for washing off all the sand, I loved it so much I took all my showers there lol. The Shore Boy beach house is comfortable, beds comfortable, we all slept great. Lots of room, plenty of decks too to enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine. Just love Cape Hatteras, less touristy, quieter. Our Lady of the Seas RCC is a wonderful church for Sunday worship, just love Father Fred! I'd move here to join this church lol. Anyway we'll definitely be back! Had a wonderful time!!

Beautiful Views, Great Location, Could Have Been Cleaner, But Overall Good Stay

The place was well-appointed, and the views were stunning. The location was perfect, and the dock was a nice added touch, especially for kayaking. The tips from the owner were great too. My only complaint was that the place could have been cleaner - there were hairs in the bathtub and there were burrs in the carpet that stuck in our feet whenever we walked. I had to pull one out of my dad's foot with tweezers on our third day there. I would recommend that the owner hire a more thorough cleaning service. Otherwise, our stay was wonderful!

Great Family vacation

We absolutely loved the setting, we watched the sunrise and sunset everyday from the deck. The family enjoyed fishing and crabbing from the dock and our son’s girlfriend took our kayak out as well. The house was perfect for the 6 of us and we enjoyed family dinners at the big table. Having a washer and dryer is always a bonus to keep clothes washed as to not have to bring a ton of clothes or anything dirty home. My only suggestion is to maybe provide extra garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towels, or let people know they will need to bring these items. We had 6 people and ended up having to purchase these items as there was only the one bag in the can and one roll of each paper towel and toilet paper. The beds were comfortable and the house was very homey. We were close to beaches and shops as well as restaurants .We definitely would stay here again. We really enjoyed making memories this vacation. Thank you!
