Perfect!

My friends and I stayed here for our annual trip to San Luis Pass to fish. The place was perfect! The location is awesome, the house had everything we needed, and was clean and nice. The Kurig with Starbucks coffee was an especially nice touch being so far away from a coffee place. Working with Holly was easy and she fixed our one small problem with checkin quickly and kindly. We will try and book her place again.

The bestest beach views

It’s a wonderful property. All the amenities are there. Clean property. Steps from the beach. Very quiet- not close to tourist attractions which is exactly wheat we are looking for. Our doggos love it! We love it! Very enjoyable stay!

Guys Trip

The property is located in covenantally next to the water. Short walks to the beach, and 25 min to surfside jetties. The house looks nice on the outside. Aside from the railing on the second level of the new patio addition coming unfastened from the pillar. It too was nice bbq in the shade. The parking area is a little smaller considering half of it is falling apart. The interior area could use some love. New floor, trim,and paint to name a few. Overall if you are on a guys trip this will work for you.

Location, Location, Location!

We've been down this side of Galveston a few times now (stayed at the house right north of this property last year). We really enjoy it b/c of the proximity to the ocean - not the beach, although it's obviously super close, but I love the fact that my kids can go down and play between the house and the rocks and we don't have to worry about the ocean. The biggest downside with this property is the master bedroom. Given the views from it are minimal, I would rather have a larger bed on the opposite wall where you get to really enjoy your sleep. My wife and I aren't large people, but you could feel every move and you just bump into each other all night. We come from a King, but even a Queen would have been nice. Everything else was as expected. Nice deck space - would have LOVED an outdoor table. The lock didn't work when we got there, but luckily there was a spare key hidden. All in all, we enjoyed our visit. Wasn't the ideal comfort for the 8 or so hours you "rested", but everything else was great.

What a cool little house!

Just returned from five nights at this cool beach house. It was just as described, clean, comfortable and truly just steps from the waves! The host, Holly is great and made the rental process simple and quick. My husband fished every day, and we rented a golf cart . I highly recommend a golf cart for the miles of beach you access literally right next to the house. So fun!

4 stars due to location!

Overall I give it 4 starts because of the location of this property. You cannot ask to be closer to the beach. Just steps away and two decks to enjoy the view. The location, neighborhood and Host was all perfect! Nice quiet neighborhood with nice people. For those reasons I would say to stay here. Now of course nothing is perfect. The biggest drawbacks for us was the bathrooms and master bedroom. The bathroom in the master has a tiny shower with a sink that practically sits over the toilet. It’s such a small space and no bathroom counter for your toiletries. If I owned it I would definitely remodel the bathroom to make for space for comfort for guests. The master bedroom only has a full size bed which was not big enough for me and my husband. That’s a drawback. Plus the air vent or ceiling dripped water on the bed at night. So that made it hard to sleep. The kitchen and living room had lots of space and a big dining table was great! We might stay again if the bed gets bigger and some TLC goes into the place. But we thank the host for everything and really do love the location and neighborhood!

Nice Getaway Overlooking The Ocean

For the most part, the property was nice and the location was great. The biggest drawback was the mattresses on both of the adult sized beds need to be replaced. Each mattress sagged into the middle. The beds themselves were uncomfortably small for anyone accustomed to either a queen or king bed. On the cleanliness factor, the floors needed to be swept and the windows could benefit from a cleaning. Also, the television in the living area should be wiped down to remove the many smudges from little hands, and the caulking in the tub and shower bath needs a bleach treatment to remove the moldy areas. On a safety note, be careful not to cut your hands or fingers on the kitchen knobs. Each knob has a metal decorative medallion that has jagged prongs. If these items could be fully addressed, the whole experience would be a better value - especially in view of the current daily rental rates. On the positive side, the hosts are accommodating and very responsive to messages. They provide guests with a nice welcome basket containing a couple of bottled waters, toiletry items such as tooth brushes, mouthwash, and sunblock in case a guest forgot to pack those essentials. And the beverage station set up with a Keurig coffee maker, K-cups, and creamer was a welcome sight.The kitchen has basic pots, pans and dishes. The house was decorated nicely , the color scheme throughout the home relaxing.There are nice touches throughout the home that families will enjoy.
