Live Oak Creek Cabins- Peyton's Cabin | Hot Tub | Water Access

  • One of five charming cabins set just 4 miles from the center of downtown Fredericksburg, you and a guest will love the ability to relax in the scenic Texas Hill Country and then take a short drive to town. Enjoy a king bed, large bathroom, kitchenette with full sized refrigerator, and pleasant private deck featuring a hot tub and electric grill all to yourself. In addition, Live Oak Creek is just off of your doorstep, so a day could easily be spent fishing, paddle boating, or swimming. There is also a bar at the entrance to the property.

    Please keep in mind that, since there are four other cabins on the property, they may be occupied by other guests during your stay. Furthermore, there are RV hookups, so other guests might be utilizing those as well.

    Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

Anniversary Getaway

This was the perfect spot for our anniversary weekend. Cabin was super clean and comfortable and only a few miles from Main St. We had such a peaceful time. We definitely plan to book again.

Lovely weekend getaway

Peyton's Cabin at Live Oak Creek Cabins was a great place to stay for a weekend getaway. Only three miles or so to the shopping and dining on Fredericksburg's Main Street. The cabin was very clean, cozy and quiet. Will recommend to friends.

Just what we needed

We had an amazing stay at Peytons cabin. Just what we needed for a relaxing weekend. The hottub was perfect after walking around town. Very comfortable bed/pillows. We would definetely stay again. We knew we would want to make breakfast so we did bring our own electric burner.

Nice, but too hot & bugs!!!

The place is easy to miss from the road, needs better signage. The cabin was nice & clean, but the air conditioner was WAY too small for the space!! The hot-tub never got hot.

Nice place but needs to be cleaned better

There were a few issues that could be addressed. Communication was an issue for us as we were not given the correct key code to access the cabin. When we called the number listed for help it took some time for a response and once we received it, we were told to call another number. Then told that the key code was correct and to JUST BEAT the lock to try and get in that they could not come to help, she would have to call someone else to help. That was a little frustrating. The other issue was cleanliness (it was not filthy). Cobwebs everywhere, spiders and webs all over the entry way, fridge was dirty, and the hot tube needed a new filter and water added. If the cabin was clean and check in would have gone smoothly, we would rate it higher. Positive side of it all was the wildlife we seen and the quietness of the grounds. The view was nice looking over a pond. All in all, a good experience just needed a little attention to details.

The cabin and scenery from the animals was wonderful. Our only complaint was the air conditioner seems to be undersized and could not keep up with the heat. The temperature was in the 80's during the day.

Great getaway 5 min from town

The stay at Peyton's was exceptional. We were close to downtown FBG which made for convenient day trips and for dinner. The cabins hot tub is sensational and is a must use at anytime a day.

Perfect Weekend!

Live Oak Creek Cabins are the perfect place for a couple's getaway! Peyton's Place is very accommodating & the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Lone Star Bar & Grill (on-site) is a great place to relax, have a beer & some awesome food from the food truck and not have to drive. The live entertainment is pretty awesome too! We will definitely be back (hopefully real soon)! Thanks for a great weekend! 😉

Peyton Cabin

The cabin was great, very clean. Did not know that the cabins were located where you could hear live music. That part we did not like because we don't stay up late. Also too much road noise for us as well.

Nice Romantic Getaway!

My husband and I rented this cabin in January to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary! It was a very clean and cozy cabin! We would definitely stay here again! Easy booking, check in and check out process!

Relaxing!

Anniversary weekend. This was the perfect getaway for us! Nice time sitting on our back porch watching the deer & relaxing in our private hot tub! Really enjoyed the short walk to the on-site bar & grill. Also, not far from town!

Perfect wine country cabin

Wonderful little cabin to stay when you are visiting Fredericksburg. Just a few miles out of downtown and easy to find . Close to a small bar/ restaurant . Semi-Private cabin ( other cabins near) on a little land . Hot tub on back porch was wonderful! Cabin was very clean and perfect size for a couple. Bed was comfortable. Only downsides were there is no stove or oven (but does come with a small portable griddle ) and we found stickers everywhere on the rugs which was a bit annoying. But other than those small things it was a wonderful cabin and we had a perfect romantic getaway!! We would definitely stay here again!

Last minute trip

Overall it was a cute place. I would change a few things. Add a mattress cover before putting the fitted sheet, it may help it stay on. Remove the rugs from both the sitting area and bathroom, due to that they have small stickers in them. Last brighter lights in bath area, the lights in there are so dim. It's not a spa.

Pro's: very clean and well kept. Not too far from town. Comfortable bed. Peaceful setting. Property owner very nice.. Cons: Road noise a little much, stickers on floor in cabin stuck in rug, dog in next door cabin barked alot (there last two days of stay).

Great property with something for everyone!

Our cabin was clean, cute, cozy and had creek access. We fished and enjoyed the bar on site. Everyone was friendly! We loved it and will be back soon.
