Cozy and cute hill country house. Loved sitting on the porch enjoying the view and the gazebo was really nice too. The outdoor lights and firepit made the back area festive and fun. Great place!

Wide open spaces inside and out. Far enough out of town to get away but close enough for convenience! Cozy and clean for our family retreat! Well-stocked kitchen and all of the amenities that we needed!

Girlfriend Getaway

We absolutely loved this property! The location being just a short drive outside of town, the multiple deer we saw on the property and the layout of the house. Everything was clean and ready to go for us. Coffee and tea which we definitely used. The openness of the living room was perfect for our late night conversations after fun filled days in and around Fredericksburg. Thank you for opening up your home to us.

Girls' Getaway!

The house was everything I expected and more! Beautiful scenery with all kinds of wildlife. Quiet and very peaceful.. away from the busy city, a perfect getaway! Definitely will be doing this again!!

Less than expected

The house is fairly new and very clean. However, it is located adjacent to a major highway and the noise level is high. You cannot enjoy the sounds of nature. You must go into town to get the keys and go back to return them. There is no cable or dish tv, therefore no local news or weather. The Wi-Fi is less than adequate.

Great for bachelorette weekend!

I rented the home as a base for me and family/friends during my bachelorette weekend. The home was perfect and had more than enough room for a big group. The patio and back seating area overlooking a pond was beautiful. We spent both nights outside by the fire making s’mores. Definitely recommend!

Weekend family getaway

We had a great stay at the Alder Farmhous. Saw lots of deer, enjoyed the fire pit , nature views from front and back patio and modern amenities inside. Location was great and short drive from local hamburger place next to old Tunnel State Park to watch bats emerge at sunset, short drive to Fredericksburg. It was a fantastic family weekend away. Kids bunk beds were a huge hit! Will stay again.

Great weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the Alder Farmhaus. The house was perfect for our family. We enjoyed going to town and visiting some wineries during the day and then we grilled out two nights and used the outside grill ( bring lighter fluid). And then hung out and made s’mores by the fire pit. It was a wonderful stay.

Beautiful property with a Thermostat lock!

This was a beautiful property on a beautiful piece of property! It was almost perfect for our Moms getaway, except that the house was very hot and unfortunately we couldn’t lower the temp in the house lower then 75 degrees! Yes it is officially fall but we all know in these parts of Texas, it is far from fall weather and in a house full of people controlling the thermostat is a huge negative! Also, make sure to get the code for the firewood if you plan on having a fire! We planned on a fire and s’mores the last night we were there and didn’t realize the wood was locked up and could get a hold of anyone for the code! Great property, just give your guests control of the thermostat!

Anniversary weekend

Beautiful house. Loved the decor and all the furniture was super comfy. We brought our ROKU and used our hot spot so that worked for internet and TV. Only item I would say to improve is there is no walk way to the water other than that it was great.
