Nice and comfortable accommodations, loved water view and access with use of kayaks. Kitchen well stocked and ate in many nights.Good location, within an hour of airport, Acadia and other points of interest. Nearest main town less than half hour with supermarkets and restaurants. But loved that is was more isolated.

We absolutely loved our stay here!! Paul is a wonderful host, easy to communicate with, and prompt with responses. The home is beautiful and the amenities are perfect. We definitely would stay here again in the future.

What a beautiful place! Easy 45 minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We loved being able to come back and just relax without all the hustle and bustle! Ellsworth is close by and has a great selection for places to eat. There is also a Walmart if you want to make your own food. Communication with the host was excellent and we felt like we had everything we needed at the house.

Maine vacation

We had a wonderful week on the pond. The house was clean, well cared for, and equipped with all the necessities and materials, as well as kayaks and other great things for being on the water. Very easy check in with good communication. Awesome place for our family of four.

The house on George’s Pond was excellent!

A fantastic location, and a top notch house and amenities. Great spot for swimming, kayaking and fishing off of the dock. My family and I loved the place. Thanks to the ownership for having such a nice place ready for travelers!

Beautiful property

We enjoyed our stay on George's Pond. It was very comfortable with lovely views. The kitchen was well equipped and Paul was a great host. A perfect place to kick back or explore the surrounding areas.

Quiet retreat, wonderful stay

I can’t say enough about this place - of course the setting is fantastic, from the lake sunsets to loons to fishing and swimming, but the house and hosts are wonderful to boot, with attention to detail and a welcoming hospitality, our young family of four were right at home and didn’t want to leave!

Above Expectations!

The property is amazing yet reasonably close to nearby attractions. The outdoor area is fantastic, Eagle, Osprey & Loon watching. Kayaks & SUP’s available for use. It made for a PERFECT 1st trip to Maine!

Another fantastic week!

This is the perfect home base - close to everything this area has to offer but away from the crowds. The pond is so peaceful and inviting. The house is comfortable and has everything you need. Paul is super helpful and attentive. That's why we returned a second year in a row! Love it!

On George's Pond

Had a great time on George's Pond! Paul was a wonderful host, and everything you could possibly need was provided. He was quick to respond to any questions, and even checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. The house was lovely and views spectacular. After spending long days in Acadia Nat'l Park and/or Bar Harbor it was nice to return to such peaceful surroundings. Thanks again, Paul!

Beautiful lake house

Our family of four (two adults and two 7-year-olds) had a blast at this wonderful property. Paul was very communicative and responsive, the lake was beautiful, the sunsets were stunning, and the location (within an hour of Acadia) was excellent. Highly recommend!

Even better than expected

Close to Bar Harbor and Arcadia but NOT to close. Situated on the world’s quietest pond/lake. Has everything you need or would want.

Peaceful Lake House

We enjoyed our stay and wished we’d stayed longer. The setting is outstanding and sunsets over the pond were beautiful every night. The house was well equipped and the host was very responsive and accommodating. The 40 minute drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor was a little longer than we’d prefer, but the location on the lake more than made up for it.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The owner Paul is extremely helpful mapping out things to do in the area, hikes and restaurants! He is very responsive and the home was equipped with everything you need and not to mention a cute and ‘homey ‘ feel. Will be back!

Great lake house near Acadia

10/10. Loved our time here. Excellent property with great amenities, great view over the lake, and plenty of fun activities to do on the water with kayaks and paddle boards included. Convenient to Acadia national park and the nearby town of Ellesmere for shopping and food but far enough away to get a really quiet and private experience. Would definitely stay again.

Early October Visit

Heaven on earth!

Everything was wonderful! Paul was an amazing host. Would definitely come back. George’s Pond is breath taking. Can’t tell u how lovely this place is. If I had to change one thing, I’d have a bathroom in the second bathroom.

Great Home On Small Lake

The home was clean, comfortable, well stocked with the basic necessities and nearby to Bar Harbor, Acacia National Park and other points of interest. It was everything we expected and more! The owner was extremely accommodating and quick to reply with any question or concern! We would highly recommend this home to anyone interested in the area!

Relaxing time at George’s Pond

We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay at George’s pond. The house was great communication with the owner was fantastic. The sunsets and sunrises were so beautiful and peaceful. The bald eagles nesting around the pond and we saw them every day. We’re close enough to Bar Harbor and Acadia to enjoy trips down theKayaks and paddle boards were easy to access and lots of fun to use
