Great mtn vacation log home

Loved this place, secluded high on mnt. 8 mile winding rd to get to it that is a little wild. Internet was great for almost all of our stay but we were there to enjoy the scenery. Saw lots of deer on property. Pretty centrally located to many attractions.

Nice cabin feel, good stay

We enjoyed the cabin. Layout was great. The only issue was that the gravel road was super rough right before the driveway. Low sitting cars will bottom out. Enjoyable stay overall! Thanks!

Mountain Getaway

The property was clean and well maintained. Secluded cabin with lots of trees and fresh mountain air. Could use a few upgrades but overall great property.

Peaceful paradise

Absolutely beautiful secluded in the woods to enjoy the sounds & beauty of nature. Lots of deer to view. Top of driveway is very rough please be cautious Check in was very easy. Make sure you have everything you need. Closest store is dollar general about 20 mins down the mountain or walmart 20 mins up. Did not have any problem or issues & was very pleased with my stay. Thank you

Fun Family Adventure

The house was very nice and met all of our needs. The fire pit was not in a good/safe location as it was difficult to get to and when we did the tank was empty of gas and we could not have a fire down there. The ceiling fan in the living room did not work or we could not figure out how to work it. The twin beds were so low that we had difficulty getting in and out of them so they may not be good for older guests, maybe children. the driveway was a challenge but we were able to get up it, if you drive a car it might prove to be difficult or impossible.

We went for a girls weekend and were pleasantly pleased . We would definitely go back

The only that is could see being upgraded would be the internet and dish . We had a few problems with that . Overall we enjoyed ourselves.

Cozy cabin retreat

Perfect getaway. My kids loved the cabin. It was clean and well equipped. The cabin is tucked away in the trees. Cozy and quiet retreat. It is bit of a drive up the mountain from any town, but if you looking for a nice getaway, this is it.

Very peaceful

There was plenty of room for two people. The porch was nice and we could hear birds and the creek down be!ow. I think for more than four people it would be two crowed. The single beds are for small children only. The upstairs bath has a small shower and the downstairs has a adequate tub shower. Plenty of plates, cups and silverware. Keurig and drip coffee makers were nice.

Great retreat in NC mountains

A beautiful appointed, spacious cabin with all the luxury one needs and yet it maintains a strong connection with the surrounding nature. A fantastic place to relax and an excellent base to explore all western North Carolina has to offer. And the WiFi is not bad at all!

Cleanliness

Cabin was not as clean inside as it should be. Upstairs bathroom floor was not clean. The throw rugs are very stained and dirty, The outside of the cabin needs serious pressure washing and cleaning; there are wasp nests all up in the eves which we sprayed. The weeds and grass around the cabin were allowed to grow and not mowed, other than the above it is very restful and peaceful.

Kids loved it

Quiet, private and secluded retreat tucked up in the mountain. We were there in March before the trees had leaves so we enjoyed pretty views of the mountains across the valley, but that might disappear in the summer season. I would still recommend a stay without the view. Our kids loved exploring and playing in the woods around the cabin. Everything was clean and well maintained. A nice starter set of everything (trash bag, dish soap, toilet paper, etc) was provided. Just be sure to bring extra if you stay more than a few days. Initially we were disappointed to be so far south, but the price was right. It ended up working out fine. A little extra driving, but we planned around it and it worked out. Well worth it. Our only caution is the trash disposal. The trash center was 15 minutes in the wrong direction on our date of departure, and we were forced to transport smelly garbage in our vehicle or be charged a fee. Next time we will pay the fee.
