Perfect house in ideal location

A well laid out property with pool and family sitting area outside. The ground floor bedroom is ideal for persons with limited mobility. Walking to the beach or the town of Fowey. Polkeris beach has good food and drink available almost on the sand.

Family Holiday for 15

The property is beautiful and Graham, the host was so knowledgable about the area. We enjoyed evrry moment. There was plenty of space for everyone and plenty to do. There was no phone reception at the property so if you require that then you may need a back up plan. The wifi worked most of the time so that was useful. Access is a bit precarious being down a single track road with lots of overgrown bushes etc but we just beeped out horns to alert others to our presence and all was fine. All in all, one of the most enjoyable family holidays that we have had in a long time. We would definitely recommend to others.

Great 3 Generations family holiday

Great size and proportioned house with excellent outside space, dog friendly. Well stocked. Great help from Graham when needed. Kids enjoyed the pool. Good location for seaside and walking the Saints way or costal path. We would very much like to return

Special Birthday celebration

The property was wonderful and the owners were very helpful and always available if required. Unfortunately the only access was down a very narrow and long single track road with only a few passing places, which on a number of occasions caused difficulties.

Amazing location for a family holiday. We stayed with our family which include 6 grandchildren under 4. Very safe for the grandchildren. Indoor pool was a hit as was the outdoor pizza oven. Thank you Graham for a wonderful stay.

An oasis in Cornwall

A wonderful stay for all the family. With four children under 4, we were a little concerned about the stairs and glass table initially but had no issues at all. The pool was amazing, bigger than expected, and the beach is only 10 minutes away in the car (perfect when you get caught in a thunderstorm!) Although the owners are onsite, they were not intrusive and it is useful to know they are nearby if we need them. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, we hope to return soon!

Family time

Everything about The Cider Barn was first class. A great deal of thought has gone into designing the building for a family like ours. It is the most tranquil and relaxing space and yet very close to towns and beaches. Our hosts were discreet but available. Thank you.

Family holiday including Grand Children

The property is as described. Eco based heating means some parts were cold on some evenings. The rooms, bathrooms, pool, pizza oven area, were all good size as listed. The grand children liked being able to see the ducks, etc, over the fence. The open staircase with no bannister was a concern, but with adult care the children all coped. Would re-book if we could get everyone together again - always a challenge for a growing family.

Beautiful inside and out

A beautiful property with everything you needed to make it a special holiday and more location was scenic and peaceful but close enough to amenities great to use as a base to travel further into Cornwall or to stay on site and relax.

Trenant Cider Barn

This is a lovely property in a lovely area. Everything you could want for a holiday. Relax and do nothing, or have fun in the pool or hot tub or play table tennis. The owners are lovely people. We all had a fabulous time.

Tranquil setting for a wonderful extended family holiday , yet near to Fowey and Polkerris beach

Our family had a lovely stay here. Plenty of space inside and out. The quality of the property is excellent. We found the five minute car journeys to both Polkerris beach and Fowey Harbour very easy. Younger people could walk ! The Cider Barn is in a beautiful setting. P and Q caterers are happy to cook there .. we had two “in house dinners “ , lovely. We enjoyed the outside pizza oven .. very efficient. The indoor pool is lovely and warm..and a good length. Thank you Graham.

Amazing

Stayed at the Cider Barn for the weekend in September to celebrate our 25th anniversary with friends. We had the most amazing time. We were met by the owner Graham, who showed us around. The barn is beautiful inside and out, we could not have wish for more. The swimming pool is huge and was a delight to the fitness fanatics in our group. We were also lucky to have fantastic weather and were able to lounge out on the sunbeds. The men in the group were amazed by the pizza oven, but bottled out cooking meat for a bbq so we bought a cheapy at the supermarket, we did do pizzas and they turned out perfect. One night we arranged for caterers to come in, PQ catering, they cooked an amazing 3 course meal which was fantastic. The location is wonderful, very secluded and with lovely walks to Fowey and Polkerris. I can not fault The Cider Barn at all and highly recommend it for a perfect stay. We didn't want to leave....hopefully be back next year!

Stunning Cider Barn

Everything and more than advertised. Cider Barn is better than a 5 star hotel stay. Top quality indoor and outdoor furnishings. Pizza oven works a treat if there is someone in the group who can make them ( we did) Swimming pool and hot tub a wonderful bonus after long walks and cycle rides.

Beautifully converted barn, a real gem!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the place is beautiful and the owners are lovely. It’s so handy for walking into Fowey with no parking issues (parking in Fowey can be a nightmare!). Our kids were in the pool most of the time, but after a walk back from the local beaches and restaurants, we preferred the hot tub! The rooms are generous, The en-suite bathrooms are all finished to a high standard and the whole barn has been converted in a modern way, whilst retaining its old character. None of us wanted to leave!

Simply stunning, the best place we have stayed in as a large party

We had a fantastic week here. Graham and Heather were so welcoming and couldn’t do any more to make our stay any better. The house is stunning, finished to the highest standard and easily accommodated 16 of us with lots of space in both bedrooms and living area. The open plan kitchen, dining and living room area with its wood burner and endless log supply are great. The outside kitchen with wood fired pizza oven was fantastic fun. The pool is as big as our local swimming pool but a lot warmer, with the hot tub like a bath! Fowey and the surrounding area with its coastal walks are beautiful and the beach at Polkerris with its pub on the beach should not be missed, food there is really good. Can’t recommend this place highly enough, we will certainly be going back!
